I tried fresh install with this build and two problems - same error message as posted earlier in thread when trying to play downloaded previews, and no skins.

So I tried installing an older version 1.2.129 which restored some skins but only partially. I am left with persistent magenta pink area. >.<

Seeing all the issues with previews - no plan to upgrade anytime soon...

I'm a little late getting this update, but thank you for some much needed filters and the ability of the software to delete previews. All those demos add on to disk space after a while. I just like to see my own shows and once in a while, I may check out a new girl by preview and later delete it myself. Thanks for all your hard work.

Kind of a mixed bag with some of the upcoming girls. I love most of them and with those I don't like so much, at least I'll save some credits. I really like Kimmy Granger, Nancy A, Uma Jolie, Monika Benz, Allesandra Jane, Genevieve Gandi, Celeste Star and Gloria. I'm also really liking the one card release per day and three on Friday. One of the better ideas that Totem has had.

Hoping that Jelena Jensen surprises me and does a great show and is still looking good.

Totem is probably on Paris time, which is one hour ahead (plus) from Greenwich time. I have noticed that when I post something on the forum, for the first minute or two after I post it says "9 hours ago" and then after a couple minutes pass it switches to "a few minutes ago"... The 9 hours ago thing would make sense if their (Totem's) servers were on Paris time.

@Lezado, @EverthangForever - On windows I have often used a tail like utility called BareTail, most often using it tomonitor vghd.log. I have also noticed that Notepad++ now has a "Monitoring (tail -f)" item in its "View" menu, but have not yet had any reason to try it.

When I posted above, it was 5:00 pm Central Time = 11:00 pm GMT. 59 minutes before 11:59 pm GMT. So for me @wickedhot @v23543829 @unspeakable @b28angel, it ended 59 minutes to early. However, for some strange reason, when I look in My Account History, everything is listed as being 1 hour ahead of when I really purchased the cards. If that makes sense...So when I purchased card ??? at 5pm CT Houston, Tx, I still had another 59 minutes to receive my 4th free card; however, my account history was already showing that it was purchased at 6:00pm (12:00am GMT), not 5:00pm.
Maybe someone can look into that and explain it to the 5 of us that posted above.
I would just like to know so I don't have this happen again in the future.

@frae: well i gave you my thoughts on UX for the categories. its good to know that there will be a scrollbar but still i think my suggestion about splitting into several sections stays valid.
the sections should be collapsable. so when you drop down the categories you first only see the titles of the sections.
It could look like this: (\/ = a down arrow icon that shows that this list can be expanded.)
Outfit styles \/
Body Properties \/
Clip types \/
...

Then when you click on the down arrow or even the whole title you expand the list now showing also all category options for this section
This would be much more easy to handle for the users.
Now dropping down the categories feels a bit like being hit by a baseball bat.
Too much information jumps on us to easily digest it.
Also it would make sense to show the categories currently checked first in the list so one can easily uncheck them.

I will let you know if i got other ideas how to improve the UX

I have been with Totem for almost 10 years. So I started before 'Deskbabes' came out. I still remember the ***** Natalie Blonde bottle show that started it all. When Deskbabes (now iStripperXXX) came out i was really excited. I stopped paying attnetion to the VirtuaGirl (now iStrippee) shows completelly and went over to Desbabes totally. What has been happening to the XXX side lately has me losing interest completely. There has been fewer and fewer shows and the same girl (different cards) comes on week after week. It is very dissappointing (sp?) to wait a week for one show and then have that show the same as last week.

I don't mind paying a little extra for the XXX shows but I still am unlikely to buy the same girl more than once. So if possible I would like to see a new girl or girls (not just a new card(s)) every week. Otherwise I am going to put the software away and not buy any more credits.

Yes, the software hides the transition clips as they are only meant to be seen when viewing in small mode. However, if you really want to see them, you can download and install one of the 3 (that I know of) member created add-on players.

I use WA's original player which will allow you to select and play clips from your models folders in explorer. (iStripper must be loaded on your systray). All but one of the 'it' clips for any given card you have installed will play too. The clips with 'it11' in the name usually don't play but occasionally do and it's usually a brief flash of 'The spin' :)

They use GMT (Grenich Mean Time) which is (or at least used to be) the standard time that most everyone sets their clocks to using the proper addition or subtraction based on time zone. The U.S. may have a lot of clients here at iStripper but the customer base is worldwide. It seems a little arrogant to me to want to make everyone change their calculations to a time standard that isn't even constant depending on where in the year we are.

I know in California we are either plus 7 or plus 8 depending on whether we are in daylight savings or standard time.

But then I was a Radioman in the U.S Navy for several years and we lived on GMT time 24/7 so it isn't hard for me to figure since I am used to it.

To stop the previews playing, look in the Girls Store tab. Any cards not bought yet should be there. I have my 'Sort' settings to show the cards by date of release in descending order. This will show the last released cards first at the top.

Now any previews you have downloaded should have a blue 'Preview' flag on the thumbnail. Hover your mouse cursor over this and you'll see a an 'X'. Click this and the preview will stop playing until you manually activate the card again :)

Download speeds obviously depend on your connection. My cards usually take about an hour each when it's working correctly and in my case, usually there are only TWO active downloads at any given time.

@i24844520 Hi, Welcome to iStripper ! : ) It should take a few min only to download a full show. Please go to the software settings ( cogwheel icon) , click on 'Rebuild Collection' Please note that the 'advanced settings' box has to be checked. Wait until all your shows are downloaded.Let us know if there are any error messages in the download part.

So this morning I became a member. Bought 15 "cards". When I go to my collection right now, I'm only able to view one or two of them (and those, the download bar isn't complete). Do I need to download them one at a time? How long should it take to download a vid?

Also, I keep getting a preview of a 'card' I didn't buy popping up - sometimes it even pops up when I'm watching one that I did order. How can I shut this preview off? I don't need it popping up every time I'm on my computer.

Well I know how ta do that you have to own the girl it cant be demo. First click on girls picturer then at the far right theres a icon you click and a list of her moves come up this icon is to the right of the icon that shows all her cards. In that list you will see table, pole,and TOP double click on top she will swing. But not all girls bust that move some of the girls cards dont have top(swing) so your gonna have ta check each card unless you already seen her do it then you know the card to click on.

New and enhanced features are great, but please put more time on fixing general bugs and especially crashes when viewing the sub-tabs under the Featured tab, not to mention crashes that occur when generally browsing the app. Also, checking for updates usually gives an error in connecting to check for updates. This has been happening under Mac OS X 10.9.5 and 10.10.5 (can't tell for 10.11 or 10.12) Other apps don't have this issue so it's not related to my computer or internet connection.

In some places I've seen the girl hanging from the top of the screenm For example there's a girl sitting in a swing in the demo video on the website. However, when I try to ***** a girl to the top, she just falls back to the bottom. Is this a feature specific to some girls?

I feel the negative feedback came from an increase in price without any prior notification more than the price itself.

If Totem has to pay models more for the xxx content I would have no issue paying the increase in price, it seems fair. You have some great xxx cards waiting to be released and you have customers that prefer these shows over normal cards, I wouldn't wait so long in releasing some of them if the production is finished.

I prefer the normal cards but you surely can't go wrong with a Nancy or Sybill xxx card and with Monika, Anie and Antonia also listed I will buy them all at the higher cost when they are released.

Transitions clips do not count in the overall show duration count.
But since we've changed the shows framerate this year (25 up to 30) the count is not up to date anymore for 30fps shows.

47*25/30 = 40min that's why. A fix is under development and will be available without updating your software in few days.

Hi, I'm now in the same boat as some others. For some reason, my existing version of the iStripper stopped showing me anything other than preview clips (for which I hadn't yet downloaded the full card) in My Collection, with no access (greyed out or otherwise) to any of my fully purchased clips. I therefore downloaded the latest version of iStripper thinking that this would fix the problem. However, instead I now have access to no cards whatso-ever - even the preview clips I had downloaded and am told that my collection is empty! I know this is not the case however as I keep my cards on an external hard-drive so it would seem the new install is not finding these. How do I fix this? Many thanks!

Thanks guys I just went and borrowed a 120gb blank drive and tried it using my modems usb port, was a bit tricky to set up but all in all I put 4 models on it and it worked :) once I put them in a folder called Models haha. I see what you mean with the lag it wasn't to bad though, shows didn't start straight away if they were 80MB+ in size it looked as though via task manager they were buffing before playing because my wifi would run at speeds of 80mbps for 15 odd seconds before playing a movie it probably didn't help the usb port was 2.0 I do have to upgrade my modem for our aussie nbn so Ill look at a new one with 3.0 or even esata otherwise a nas device like synology with gigabit ethernet might fix this issue

Imho, the celebrity approach to models promoted here could be part of the xxx cost problem.
I do not want to see the demise of xxx bluescreen because there is no similar technology atm.
I've sent @Team a PM re a possible alternative cost saving idea for developer to consider :-)

Your collection grows on you. :) I have a Mac Pro and a MacBook. About 2 years ago I bought a 3TB external drive from WD. Mainly I use it for iStripper. Right now it's about 1/3 full. It's small, so I can take it with me when I travel. At home its networked and used by both computers.

Nevermind, I did some calculations and found out that 700 shows are about 400gigabytes

Good evening. Until recently I've had like hundreds of gigabytes of free space on my Mac. Today I check my harddrive space and I have about 30gigabytes left. Does VirtuaGirl really take up THAT much space? I have 700+ shows now, but still. Appreciate any help, thanks.

I like your idea for separating the categories into more specialized groups to allow better searching. However, I just discovered at least one problem: Some of the tags aren't as mutually exclusive as we would expect. For example, I have 6 cards with tags for both big boobs and tiny tits. This is easy to understand because they are all duo cards, but there is the problem - duo cards have have contradictory tags.

I did some analysis using an Access database I've built from my iStripper collection. Looking at only solo shows, here's what I found:
big boobs and tiny tits are mutually exclusive
hairy and shaved are mutually exclusive, but trimmed is not with 17 overlaps to shaved and 5 to hairy
naked feet and hair heels are not mutually exclusive about 20% of the cards with one have both.

I was referring to pixel density.

This "difference" in total clip time has been going on since the first iStripper Alpha - Beta. Notice how Totem doesn't publish the number of clips in each card or the total download size of the card anymore ?? I'm guessing most of this time is the transition clips that we can not delete. To me the transition clips are "invisible" since we can not delete them. Therefore they should not count in the total time of the card. The total time published for each card should match the time in the clips list that we can see (Previews & Regular clips) I'm not against transition clips, it is what it is, I would like to know how many clips & total download size in each card that I buy. Or better yet, let us know how many transition clips & download size of these clips are for each card.

Just my thoughts............

As said before by me and other members the XXX shows overall are tame compared to what we know these girls are known for doing, not to mention the sound quality of late has not been very good the older XXX cards had better. I wouldn't mind more regular cards with a couple XXX clips added to them. As of now i very rarely watch any of my XXX shows.

hm i just checked for the demo files and on my PC they are still there. i got arount 10k demo files in my model folders.
then again i only have very few previews. 6 shows at the moment that are previews only.

I would offer one suggestion, even though I'm confident it's been brought up...but don't do XXX shows with girls who are not popular, and for the near future avoid excessive repitition of those that you do release. IE, Merry Pie, Katya Clover and Alexa Tomas are great, but...there's a half dozen xxx shows of each already. Conversely, there's no XXX shows of Sapphira A, Valeria or Melisa, who have the highest rated shows in the "girl store", for girls who have not done XXX shows. My thought is, they refused, and that's fine..(I respect their choices), but I would go in that type of direction (popular girls without XXX shows already here)..instead of charging 30 credits for shows that will be very similar to what we already have.

Edit: I think that more flexibility in the rating system would let us do a better job with telling you what we want to see more of as well. Right now it's 4.5 or 5.0 for a good show, and no variation. Some shows, I'd like to give a 4.6 or 4.7 and not rate so many shows or girls the same as Viola or Gloria. It's a poor way to represent my satisfaction and does a disservice to the truly impressive performances as there's no way to distinguish them from the other shows that are "only really good". (if examples help: I rated Dakota's show and Gloria's the same, because I did not want to rate Dakota a 4.5...she's cute as a button, but (to me) she's not Gloria..if they were in the same room with me, I don't think I'd even know Dakota was there), but it's a good show with a very pretty girl...If there was a way to give her a 4.7, I would have and that'd represent how I feel about the two shows better to you.

While it may not mean much,I would like to emphaticaly state I am a huge fan of the xxx content and will purchase any offerings that come out in the future even if they are of higher price than the regular content.
