I've never really been interested in XXX cards or Deskbabes as a product, so for me, if there is mostly dancing in the new format then I am more likely to buy than the old format.

I can't comment more than that on the new format because I haven't seen any cards I actually want yet (that are finished ;).

I agree with the comments about the cage clips.

My favourite clips are duos where one model is handcuffed/tied to the cage.
As mentioned previously not in every show but where two models can produce a great dom scene.

Now perhaps off topic but I cannot see the point of the swing.
I find them clips boring.

The very first row of deskbabe cards (1 ~ 60) had a relative balanced rate between nude and xxx content (my impression 50:50).
This first row had also a relative balanced rate between standing-xxx and table-xxx content (50:50) as well as the nude content.

Everything was perfect these days and the audience were able to imagine that the crew (girls and film stuff) made an effort to record a good show.

At some point it droped down to have only table clips - that was not good. The cage thing was a nice idea but didn't hit the target. At one point we had only naked girls on the table with the old in- out- game without teasing.

So, my opinion - back to the roots. With todays experience and engineering (sound, resolution, wider range of equipment, abillity of shooting liquid, foam, swing etc.) that can't be a bad idea.

Balance seems to be the magic.
Heels are not Heels if they're only there for 30 sec. of an amount of 20 min. show duration. Than it is barefoot.
Teasing is not if a girl is naked in a wink of an eye. The highlight of a gift is mostly if you have unpacked it so far that you're able to see what's in there. If you know what it is, it becomes boring. And I'm pretty sure that a girl can tease also during xxx. For which reason else things like lingerie and high heels etc. exist? Cause they're extremly convenient?
And even if it is only pantieless barfoot, in sneeker, boots or what else.

I think because it is a difficult prop to set up. Once set up they shot as many clips with it so not to set it up, break it down, set it up, break it down so often...

But once they removed that Center Bar, and got the process right. I really liked the addition of the Cage.

I really appreciate the new big friendly NEXT button on the last 50 posts page (and the similar PREVIOUS button from page 2 onwards). Now if only there was some way to avoid the bulk of the fansign posts.

And "code" now seems to work properly (at least it looked alright when I looked at a quick test in a preview. We can finaly post short bits of .scn and .fsh code and have them retain their formatting. Many thanks.

I like the new format. iStripper has changed in a good way for me, and the girls are more beautiful than ever. XXX allows some diversity instead of erotic clips only, but not too much for a product like this one. I just would like more diversity in ethnicity (black and mix-raced girls).

at the beginning of DeskBabes we had a good balance of standing and table clips. with the wider range of equipment we can get a better diversity in the shows.

I like XXX both old and new. What I don't like is watching fake orgasm (all of them are) sometimes even "fake" masturbation and girls licking their fingers (this become more regular, I don't know who might be turned on by that really, not me for sure) also licking their different "toys"... as long as they don't lick mine it gives nothing watching it... if you know what I mean. Use those "toys" for it's purpose, which is not licking for sure.
Table clips are good, the more the better, but agree not all the clips shall be table clips just most of them.

+1 on the longer/more explicit clips on the XXX cards.
For the ones not nterested in this, you could always add more options for displaying clips, ie: disable the explicit content in the Istripper options, we could also do with hotkeys for skipping to the next clip on a card, instead of having to right click on the model and clicking on the boobs thumbnail/icon.

I really dont understand: Every single New Model produce "Regular Cards"... Why,.. Do.. WE .. Want another Regular Type Cards? (honest question, really)

Here are functions I think that istripper does should include so please hear me out:

1) Hotkeys, especialy for "full screen" and "next model"
2) Music and sound control - both having the option of tunning down and up music / sound with control bars and also the ability to choose the next song to be played in the playlist.

Other than that, I think istripper is very good as it is.

XXX is garbage and has no place in iStripper shows.

Just because of members like "FaceAngelic" with full repect we need two types of cards :( because I really do like them.. I dont think it is "Garbage", but I respect your wishes.... and YEAH I agree with you ... there is No Place for Explicit content In cards like iStripper... but iStripper XXX card is a TOTALLY different kind of card.

I can't rate, because I do not have any of the new XXX cards. I never buyed them, because I felt the old ones that I have a few of, were quite disappointing. The sound was very bad recorded. At least on the few I had buyed.

I feel like I should write my opinion about the topic:

If I understood the article correctly, cards that are having XXX rating will now have more XXX previews attached to them.

I think that this change is very major because I used to "sit on the fance" for a few months before I decided to start buying cards, during this time, the zero nudity was boring to watch and I deleted the program and didn't come back to it for a few months. So in other words - allowing previews of actual XXX action is very benefical since people who do not want to pay are getting a reason to keep the program on their computer and therefore getting advertised, which is very likely to make them become a loyal buyers later on.

What I liked about the new formats is that the xxx scenes came out complete

I enjoyed the old format, but they did get repetitive because they were primarily all table clips. The addition of the pole clips was great, but now the standing and pole clips are watering down the xxx content. Pretty sure the people buying the xxx cards liked having table scenes that were 10+ minutes. Give us at least one decent long table scene. Give us some heavier petting in the standing, pole scenes... it's xxx it should be different than the normal cards.

Oh yeah another thing, models I didn't really care for their awkward moves on the normal cards I could always count on the XXX cards for some hot action.

I personaly stopped buying xxx cards when it was only "table" and fake pleasure sounds. Hope the new cards Will be more like the old ones. Kari and Abigaile are few of the models that had a Good xxx card

For years I experienced the luxery to be able to buy two types of cards that both fullfill my wishes, my desires. So, Free that I have felt... the Choice to be able to buy a Explicit Card and a Striptease card...3 cards regular & Cards of explicit of one specific model, Totem Entertainment gave me that oppertunity and I did embrace that, watch my card collection. It is really sad, since the New XXX Rated format that confortable feeling is totally gone

I voted "I love the new format", but I need to explain myself. I don't buy many XXX cards. Only about 10% of my collection is XXX. I am happy that you are making the XXX cards more like the regular cards because I am not that interested in explicit performances. I mainly bought XXX cards to hear the models speak.

Having said the above, I must point out that you have a group of customers who clearly do like explicit content and would like more of it. Reducing the explicit content may lose sales to that community without increasing sales to people like me.

Your problem is that your customers are not a single homogeneous pool. Just trying to satisfy a statistical majority may ***** your sales. The best example of that is the group here that wants to see more variety the body type and race of the models.

Obviously every card must earn back its cost of production, but a relatively low-selling card that attracts customers who otherwise do not buy many cards may be good for Totem's long-term health.

As some have suggested you should consider ways to better inform your customers about what to expect from particular cards. This may include new descriptors in the Girls Store category list, a new type of collection, and making the clip list available in the card details of the Girls Store before a card is purchased.

Rather than making the XXX cards more like the regular cards it may be better to make them more different. Perhaps the XXX hotness level should be subdivided into warm-up and orgasm? Here is a related idea: Right now progressive hotness is either on or off, but we can't trigger when a show steps up a level. It might be very useful in an XXX show to be able to easily trigger when a model goes to the next hotness level. This might be done with a new right-clip option.

Here is an example of what I have in mind: I set show duration to all clips. I activate iStripper XXX only. I click a new checkbox below progressive hotness called "controlled hotness". An iStripper XXX card starts playing but only the first two hotness levels. It continues playing clips for the same card from those two levels until I right-click and select the new "hotter" control. Now it plays only clips that are topless or nudity. Each time I select hotter it moves up a level until all I'm seeing are XXX clips. The card doesn't change until I right-clip and select next model or next outfit at which time the hotness resets to tease.

I can think of lots of ways to embellish the above capability. You might offer 3 or 4 levels of controlled hotness where the user can defined which hotness level(s) each level of controlled hotness includes. You might allow the user to preset that the hotness level steps up after a certain number of clips have been played at a particular level. You might allow the users to select staging as well as hotness level. For example, I might want to start every new card with a window washing clip if one was available. Or, perhaps I want a mix of standing and pole clips at the first level and on bar teasing clips at the next with XXX only at the highest.

I see I have drifted off topic so I'll stop now.

For me the most important flaw in the new format is a lack of sound.
Introduction, dirty talking, all that made it different from "regular" shows.
Glad you are planning to address that part.

Second: unlike people that ***** I quite enjoyed longer scenes.

And yes, explicit content was important. Else it's not really XXX card - some of "regular" cards have some XXX content in them already, so not sure how would you draw the line here...?

As I was explaining in a post last February, we’re rolling out some changes to the XXX cards format and free previews.

Some (quick) nudity will is now allowed in Free Previews. Models and photographers have been requesting a bit more freedom to make appealing teasers. I don’t think there has been any negative feedback about this.

We started producing iStripper XXX cards with a content that stays closer to regular cards, with an explicit twist and two or three masturbation / orgasm clips on the table.

We’re not trying to save on production costs here, the new format costs the exact same.

Our motivation is to produce a better content. We felt and heard from members that the previous XXX format was a bit boring to watch, scenes were too long and it was too close to a (bad) porn flick.

I already saw in another thread that the new format was missing the girl’s introduction and that they were no sound. Both will be fixed in future productions (although we can’t record sound when the models are dancing because we’re playing music in the studio).

We think it’s important even for XXX cards to stay closer to the original VirtuaGirl DNA. We’re producing girls on the desktop, not porn movies.

We are very interested to hear your feedback about it. Staying close enough to the DNA of our product (girls dancing on your desktop), what’s missing or need to be changed in the new XXX format?

If you stay around as long as I have you learn a few things. One thing deskbabes wasn't originally a explicit version of VGHD/istripper. It started as a alternative to VGHD just like VirtuaGuy was. If you look at some the first release cards the girls are not the best looking but they do some nasty performance(in a good way.) Low and behold the alternative products didn't do so well and Virtuaguy was written off while Deskbabes was repositioned as a more "explicit" VGHD. Totem has keep it limping along but duos cards cost more then what they probably took in and as of the year maybe longer I don't think there has been another duo card. I don't know if you were here a while back but the deskbabes cards were almost grinded to a holt. I think totem now is trying to pull both products back together again and excel forward. I will say one thing is don't count this company out yet. They keep changing for better or worse but the outcoming is always on a upward motion.

I realise now that that was not quite true. When I refered to "XXX clips" I should have said "the XXX contents of some clips". One of the things I liked about the old XXX cards was that the average clip length was longer than that for the non-XXX cards. There were clips for which the XXX rating only applied to the final part of the clip and, for these clips, it would be the initial non-XXX part that I found most interresting.

This applied equaly to those clips where the initial part was "just" a striptease or to those where it was more explicit but left you thinking "is she going to use that toy or not?". In the latter case if the answer turned out to be "yes" then I would typicaly move on to the next model (often not even waiting until the end of the clip), but if it was "no" then I would usualy stay with the same card until the answer was "yes". I prefer being teased rather than always granted immediate satisfaction.

Part of what I liked about the XXX cards, the clips were all long clips, so some of the disrobing clips were drawn out and very sexy. So you would get 3 of those and then the follow up xxx to go with them.
