Tomorrow another HD shows up and yes, I will be joining the 8 TB club when it's installed. I blame Totem! In the last 8 years (Crystal Clear and Crystal Clear+) iStripper has presented an astonishing number of truly lovely girls whose collective cards and bonus videos and picture galleries take up a LOT of space!

And what makes it worse, it is completely addictive. Once you have gotten used to all these lovely girls moving and dancing and smiling and wiggling various body parts (and bouncing, let's not forget that) right there in front of you, how can you quit?

And it's not just the users that are happy. The Big Hard Disk Makers are smiling as well.

It is a bit sad that Totem has moved so much to XXX recently (thus reducing the unique and wonderful content from their normal cards) but their back catalog remains as compelling (and huge) as ever.

Hi @Wyldanimal I would love to have a copy of those utilities if you are happy to share them.

I wrote, for myself,
two Utility apps.

1) the 1st one is to read a playlist and convert it to a Text Filter.
the filter then displays all of the cards that are in the playlist on the My Collection screen.

I start with my entire collection disabled.
use my playlist utility to create the filter.
then Enable all of the cards selected by the filter.

Now, Only cards that are in the Playlist are enabled and play.

2) The 2nd one reads a playlist and converts it to a text only file with the .txt extension.
Now you can use any Text editor to make changes to the Playlist.
It also works the other way around.
if the File is a .txt file
it is converted to a Playlist file and it then adds the .VPL extension to it.

So you can for example.

Use excel to organize the cards or Clips.
export the list from excel to a text file.

Use my app to convert the text file list of cards or clips to a Playlist file.

These are NOT polished apps, Just down and dirty basic interface with minimal function to do what I wanted them to do.
I wrote them just for myself, Not really to publish for others to use.

Just click the </> near the right in the list of icons at the bottom of the message.
Make sure all text is between the beginning and ending codes.

The new playlist file has a binary format. I tried to post some code here and was blocked. The first 4 bytes is the version number = 1. Then next four bytes is the number of entries. The remaining data are the entries. Each entry begins with a 4-byte length that is the number of characters in the card or clip file name. Since each file name is in Unicode, it takes 2 characters to represent one readable character. For example, the clip e1375_it01_38912301.vghd is 48 bytes long.

There are two types of playlist with different file formats. The older one was could easily be edited with a simple text editor, the newer format can not. The details can be found in one of @Wyldanimal 's posts.

I know someone already posted it (maybe you 😊) But I can't find it and I think it's longer than the filters give (21 cards) An opportunity to update this tag day at the same time 😊 There's no rush but if you have this on hand? 😀

TBH I stopped looking at the reviews many years ago.

At that time I was a VIP member which IIRC was 300 cards. I was sort of fussy about what I bought and frequently looked at the ratings before purchase.

Then Totem briefly introduced Ruby levels (they then translated these into diamonds shortly after) and this gave a new level of attainment to rise to.

I said then that I would by at least one card of every model and I did.

I was most *****'d off much of the time because many cards that got poor reviews I adctually found really good.

In particular I remember Erica Fontes. I am not a great lover of implants and I was long put off by comments about them. I bought the first card and I felll in love with her. I bought all her remaining cards immediately after watching that first one.

I just thought she was awesome with beautiful elfin features and one of the loveliest arses I have ever seen.

Since then I have bought every card of every model.

Sure there are some I like better than others but the one thing I have found is that every single woman is beautiful in her own way. I have no disabled cards (apart from the Xmas ones which get enabled on 1st December) and I have no deleted cards or clips. Every model gets an equal chance to dance on my screen.

And that is why I now never use reviews to decide my purchases.

Every woman who is happy to appear on iStripper gets a 5 from me and to hell with what anyone else thinks..

Is there a way to edit a playlist outside of iStripper ? I can export a playlist but whenever I try to edit the file created and re-import it back into iStripper it won't load. I assume I am missing some valuable format information ?

There are several members who comment and the statements are much better than any rating. People who write regularly are awesome. For example: since dogs > cats, I will give certain posters a lower rating... 😜

Looking at the low rated cards I see 4 main drivers of low ratings, other than the dratted Russian judges.

1) Girl is not super attractive, or has a body type that has selective appeal- Thick and Thin lovers have very different tastes, and girls too far to one extreme will generally have a low rating because a fair number of people won't find her attractive.

2) Also, "enhancements" generally lower the ratings. Rightfully so, for my taste, but not everyone cares.

3) Girl has poor performance skills, even if attractive (I count personality as part of attractive, by the way). This is fair. If she just stands around like a tree, it's not very exciting. But other than the reviews, it's hard to screen for this.

4) Girl does not do explicit clips. Even if very attractive and skilled. Not... really a factor for me, since I am looking mainly for dancers.

I used the little web site previews plus reviews plus online search to detect "enhancements". The couple of cases I didn't check I should have. <lights pile of credits on fire> The more thorough download-real-previews-and check-them-carefully would have been better, but see "credits ***** a hole in my pocket" above.

The moral of the story is that whatever the causes of the low rating for a particular card, they may not apply to your tastes and you might be quite happy with it.

How well did I do? About 10 cards purchased failed either tests 1 or 2 for me. About 100 are still in the review process for test 3, but so far I haven't gotten any additional cards for these girls. And I found, oh, 10 or so that I instantly needed more of that girl's cards. Like, say, Jade, Naephel, Alexis Crystal, Lady Dee, Randy *****, and Emylia Argan. Huh, Lily Adams is cute too.
Or older models that JUST caught part of the 3K upgrades, like Tracy Gold, Vanda Lust, or Jessica Joy. And a bunch more that I am happy to have a sample of her cards.

So far, it looks like a successful shopping trip, my collection of favorites has definitely gotten bigger. 😀

How can I verify if my actual yearly subscription will renew automatically and when this will happen? Where can I verify my billing information? As I expect, when billing info has changed and it comes to renewal, it will fail and therefore the yearly plan will be lost forever.

PLUS, for the launch, we offer 50 credits to each new subscription.

I buy a card of a girl almost entirely based on her face and body.
I never look at the ratings or comments of a card, unless it is clearly mentioned in the forum that one is rated really low because it cannot be downloaded or cannot be played.
I no longer play (or even download) the demo only cards.
The last time I played a demo only card was many years ago.

I look at the free pics of a girl as well as her bonus video. This generally tells me if I want all of her cards (or none).
I own all 'e' and 'f' cards of each girl I like with very few exceptions besides the SECs.
I like most (nearly all) recently released and upcoming girls.

So, there I was, with all these nice discount credits ***** a hole in my pocket and I decided I'd go through ALL the 3 and 4K cards no matter what they were rated. Because, as we have seen, ratings aren't necessarily reliable. And good golly, there are some realllllly nice girls whose card have low ratings! Lots and lots and lots of them. So I started getting a card or two from the likely-looking ones, of which there were, did I mention, lots. For some reason a lot of American and French girls had low ratings, for example. <click> <click> <click> <click> <click> <click>

The problem with my excess hot credits solved itself amazingly quickly. And that's with just SAMPLING a card or two from each girl. Once I see the card content in detail I will surely need to fill out some of these girls completely.

So don't miss out by paying too much attention to ratings.

In reality to me, despite having just restarted the application, only one choice appears:

Quite "ridiculous" annual fee.....
