It looks like I'm done with iStripper. I ***** the new format! The Deskbabes XXX cards are what brought me back to the software. They were perfect as is, there was no need to change anything. If certain users didn't like them, then all they had to do was buy the dance cards. Variety is a good thing! After reading a myriad of posts ***** about the new format and seeing the poll results claiming the opposite, I have to call BS. You can claim that the production costs are the same, but that's a blatant lie. If the show's run-time is shorter, then the filming schedule is shorter, the model's fee is less (because her time on set is less, and what she's willing to do - anal, duo, etc., not to mention that most XXX cards were DUOs, so two models does cost more), and the cameraman and crew involved are able to shoot more shows, for less money if the shows are shorter. To tell me otherwise, is just dishonest. Please don't piss on my back and tell me it's raining.

So after being fed a line of bull crap about the production costs not being any less, and seeing more posts in the forums in favor of the old format, and then seeing the poll results claiming the opposite, I have to doubt that this poll is legitimate. So if this is the new direction for iStripper, I'll be going another. I believe you need to think about the repercussions to your business if you listen to the many users who purchase only a few cards, over the few users who purchase many cards. Who's really paying the bills? Keep that in mind.

Since it changed, I am having trouble to buy new cards, eventhough the girls are hotter. So please bring back the "Sex on your Desktop" with the IStripperXXX cards and make me a happy customer again.

Then maybe do envelopes (with all wishlist cards) where one to five cards maybe discounted to 20%. I'm still getting the cards I want but taking a chance as to how many I'll actually save on. I think most users would agree that no price is worth paying for cards that they dislike, even if that card is only 1 credit.

I really loved the dirty talk clips. Jana Cova set a high standard for me on that area along with a few others. But thats where the talent of the model comes into play.

Models who have this talent should have more focus on sound clips for sure.

Thing is - they (and me, doh) rant not about different specials, in fact those are the same special, wrapped in different paper. Their core stays the same - buy some random cards, with or without the ability to see them before buying. Now, such offer is good for the collectors (members who buy all the shows anyway, for them its just flat discount), but terrible for pickers (people who try to chose what to have). The math is ***** - at least one card you'd never want even for free, and the offer is mute.
I don't know (and don't want to guess) if such offers are attractive for new members. I have to suppose they are - otherwise Totem would discontinue them.
I personally prefer "discount on selected shows" (reverse - good for pickers, less good for collectors) and "buy 5, get the last for free" (good for all) specials.

Considering the wishlist - mine is empty. If i wish to buy the show, i buy it. If i am on the fence, i will definitely remember it if it's on sale. But imho the much better appreciated special would be "buy 5 shows, get one from wishlist for free". It is harder to do technically i believe, but that one would at least motivate me to use the feature ^^

Not sure i can add something new to this thread but as a member who has been around since 2008 and remembers the discussion that went on which lead to the launch of Deskbabes i have to say that the new format is what at least i had in mind for deskbabes from the start. an x-rated version of VirtuaGirl with longer fingering and dildo clips.
The ratio must be right though between x-rated and not x-rated. and for the xxx-cards that should be about 50:50.

I also really loved the addition of sound though of course it depends on the model and the quality of that sound. I really loved the dirty talk clips. If the sound she makes are just so clearly fake it has the opposite effect and might work better without sound.

Duos well there were a few really fantastic duo shows and a lot of very disappointing ones on Deskbabes. At first Deskbabes was too much about duo and i always preferred the solos.

I voted for 'new format goes into the right direction but needs a lot of improvement btw.

How about some x-rated glass pane clips? More clips with sound definitely. Dirty/ Teasing talk on the table when the model feels comfortable with it and Totem can get the right sound quality. That would make me happy.

I, for one, like the packs. now that they do not contain cards I already have.

And I am a bit ***** why so many posts seem to be negative about these mystery packs. Totem, as I see it, makes a nice offer for us customers and, I am sure, it cost time and resources to do so.

I understand that every special offer isn't for everyone. A while ago there was a offer that you got extra credits when you bought new credits. Maybe that was more to your taste?

If the Totem team continues to get flak when they try to increase the interest in their prodcut they may decide to stop doing so. And I think we would all be saddened to see the different special offers go.

in the desktop mode i see only two differencies between stable .172 and .174 builds:

1: .174 don't crashes in the desktop mode at all, .172 sometimes crashes but rare and only when autopush is on and the animations long time in paused state.

2: .174 scale the ui corresponding to system scale settings, .172 don't (because no "qt.conf" with needed directive).

the reason of your issue can be in next:

1: file system errors of the disk(s) where you have full shows and previews, and also disk where is app installed. check your hdd/ssd/usb drives for errors by standard system tools to be sure that all files reading/writing without problems.

2: do that i said in previous post to be sure that you have selected all levels to play.

3: do that said @Wyldanimal and you'll find in the vghd.log which files cause the warnings, they can be just incomplete downloaded and therefore app can't play them. delete and download such shows/previews again.

if this don't help you then be ready to provide detailed description of your issue and vghd.log to the team members.

btw, if you don't want enlarged ui then just rename "qt.conf" file located in the "bin" folder and restart the app. later you can rename this file back to "qt.conf" to enable the scaling if it will needed.

From my experience with previous mystery packs, and also with this offer, Totem first chooses all 3K cards you don't own and then proceeds to the lower video quality cards (1080,720).

Can confirm this post. While the offer is completely random, your initial packs will be 4 -3k cards + 1 random card from your wishlist.

A couple of xxx ideas for @Team to consider:

1. Instead of pairing two models at huge expense, Totem
could contract with a regular very attractive local actress
who does not need to strip down or perform acts on herself.
Being one of the team & a Parisian she would not require accomodation
or travel reimbursements etc.
Totem could offer to pair this local lady with new models as they arrive.
An inhouse actor (masturbation assistant) available on hand so to speak.
It would not fuss me much if one of a duo remained dressed or bikini clad
because much of the pleasure is the interaction, with focus usually on the
feature model being stroked & masturbated anyhow.

2. Totem having gone to the trouble & expense of increasing product resolution to 3k or 4k, it now seems illogical to reduce use of closer view clips. It may be unwise to flood XXX cards with xxx pole and standing xxx clips now. The body in standing clips is by necessity rendered smaller than in usual sitting clips.
Larger image table card animations seem most suited to hi-res xxx work.
If models start sharing the floor work more with pole time in same clips eg: Estonika~Overzealous
the images will be way too small to sustain long term interest in xxx cards imho.

Hey! iStripper when are you guys going to bring all your Models up to speed; at least to 1080p resolution or even 3K if possible, because i like a lot of old cards but the resolution is not very clear. All cards should be brought up to 1080p. ASAP. Please.

How about envelopes that contain only cards in my wishlist? I don't like to gamble with my credit, if I know I'll get all 5 I like I would proabably bite. Plus users with large collections will likely lose rather than win with this promo

Others will tell you to check your machine's time setting but both of mine are set to sync with microsoft automatically, so they were never off by more than a partial second that I could tell (and I checked with NOAA/WWV (303) 499-7111) but I still got the tags.

I have found that if you manually set your computer to Paris standard time (GMT +1), the coming soon tag goes away. However, if you set the time back to your local time that same day, the tags come back.

Otherwise you have to wait for midnight to pass where ever you are and they go away on their own.

You are correct if you change the computer clock to Paris time they will unlock

I just don't want any lower than 3k, since they look ***** on my big screens (which is a shame since I have tons of them from the past I really liked). Wish Totem could remaster them all.

That's also why I found the earlier Team answer a bit misleading. Of course, all collections are included as far as the wishlist goes (and are picked at random), but the other envelope cards seem to go from highest video quality to lowest, as in other offers of this kind.

For anyone interested, once you open an envelope, before purchasing it, you see the price and clicking on the question mark it explains to you how this price is calculated. In this way, you can generally tell the video quality of the cards included, i.e. 125 credits (without discount) equals 5 3K cards, 120 credits 4 3K and one 1080p card, etc.

Personally, although I really had a go at earlier mystery offers, with this one I realize that I am getting to the point of not needing many more of the 100 or so 3K cards still available to me, and am much more interested in discovering older 1080p or 720p cards (of the later, better quality). If there were an option to select the video quality of the cards in these mystery offers, I'd be all over them.
I also understand, though, how it is not profitable, and maybe also not easily feasible, for Totem to offer anything else than their most expensive product to each respective costumer.
So I might also stick with the preview discounts from now on (which are great, by the way, thought they'd be annoying but discovered a lot of great models that way).

Re: Promotions involving the purchase of cards you do not want makes no sense.

I don't buy these things either, but I think they are a good idea from Totem's perspective. I think their main goal is to get new customers to start buying cards. A random selection of cards is more likely to be valuable to a person with few cards than to a person with many. It's a way show someone the value of Totem's product.

If Totem offered a package of only wish-list cards, they would in effect giving a discount on the cards you are most likely to buy at full price.

The wishlist is a relatively new feature that many members requested. When you click on a card in the Girls Store the card page has a control at the bottom that lets you add it to your personal wishlist. This is a way for those with a limited budget to earmark a card for future purchase. The Girls Store has a filter that lets you display only cards on your wishlist. I assume this wishlist information is stored on Totem's server so they can use it to select cards for promotions like this week end.

Make sure you have iStripper at a recent enough update. I looked about on the one I had a bit before downloading the installer again and reinstalling. Then it is under the Get Her Naked button.
