Not an ideal promotion since I never used the wishlist feature before and so I put 5 cards in my wishlist.
The first Mystery Pack I bought I did not receive a single girl from my wishlist. I also got 2 XXX shows which I was not expecting as I rarely buy those I also got an older style card.

I closed down the software and then loaded up again and bought another mystery pack. This time I got one of the girls in my wishlist but the rest are girls I would not normally buy but at least I did not get any XXX cards that time or older shows.

I tried it and it was fun but not worth it in the end.

Sales and discounts are better for sure.

Personally I also agree with Theo on one of the earlier pages. I still remember the XXX shows of Eve Angel and Sophie Sweet. Those were amazing.

I was bothered i would have to download all my girl files again by hitting the rebuild collection button but luckily if you put your models folder in the right directory (as you say) it makes them all appear properly with just a few that need updating. problem solved.

Agreed! That feature would be great! Or at least a 30 min return policy on things like this. I've never bought any of the "mystery" packs they promote, mainly because of reasons like that.

Promotions involving the purchase of cards you do not want makes no sense. Totam should allow us to deselect the cards we will never buy, so these promotions at least include cards we some interest in. This type of promotion does more ***** than good. When you put out a "poor" card, stop trying to trick loyal customers into purchasing it!

One "dud" and you are basically purchasing mostly random cards for full price.
Not exactly full price. No matter if those 5 cards are selected from your wishlist or from other cards, all 5 cards are discounted by 20%.

It would be full price, allow me to explain:

Lets say that you are somehow buying cards full price for 10 each. Buying 4 cards that you want would be 40.

Lets now say they apply a 20% discount to it at 5 random cards (with the 1-5 wishlist...a HUGE varience) for 40. If only one of those cards was one that you do not like whatsoever - you just purchased 4 cards you hopefully like for 40.

Honestly I think the core problem is that the wishlist count can vary SO much. If it was 3-4 I would be up for it. Also it does not seem to take account of if I have wishlists cards that are lower resolution and would be cheaper anyways.

Well if one thing is certain, ppl buying the "old" XXX cards don't think of them as porn at all - for this there are other sites/services available and those cards are and can't be in any competition to that.

Maybe I am spoiled having seen strip shows on stage more explict than those "standard" cards labeled as XXX hotness level, but from what I read and see the new "full XXX" cards exactly go that way. Yes, shows with only table clips could be a bit boring, so some tweaking would be great. But branding a card as "XXX" being too close to to old extended hotness level is kinda cheating and especially with the missing sound and introduction is going 100% what you wanted to avoid - the new shows getting boring.

A XXX card has to be destinct bot in hotness level and performance from standard cards - only offering "mainstream products" will impact the sales for all those customers not interested to buy every single card, no matter what (well and that should be the majority).

The best idea I read however is more freedom for the models - this really should be extended to what they want to show - the best cards always have been those where you can clearly see the girls having some fun doing their job and nothing else encourages a better performance and therefore higher sales for their other cards.

With that having said, please take a look at the great suggestions and "improve" the "old" format, let the girls have more freedom and if some girls are interested in doing Duos again, I am sure not only myself will buy more cards, faster, even at a higher price.

How Many Girls at one time is set in Setting?

I suspect that One card has an Issue,

if you have 10 girls set...

8 are on Screen, it tries to Load girl 9, but it has a problem, so you get the error popup.

maybe reduce to One girl at a time, and play till you get the error..

Then make a copy of your VGHD.log file found in the data folder.

It should have info on which card might have a problem.

Fortunately I hadn't yet purchased this weeks cards so I put them all in a wishlist and got 5 of them for 55 credits.

I'm not interested in buying random cards either. One of the previous offers, buy 5 cards and get the last one for free, is so much better than random packs.

Agreed with @Indyc, all 5 guaranteed from Wishlist would sell tons of envelopes for everyone. A 20-100% chance does not make it worth it.

I also want to add that some form of normalization for the audio is very much needed. The volume level difference between cards and clips is way to high, it needs constant adjusting.

I voted for the old format had it's flaws but should have been tweaked.

The new format seems to close to regular iStripper cards for me.

The new iStripperXXX format is boring :P it's almost the same as a normal card with a spattering of random xxx. The old iStripperXXX was boring with 3 scenes virtually the same, but at least I knew what I was getting: A model playing with herself. Now I see an iStripperXXX card in the store now, and it has no appeal other than if it is a model I absolutely can't get enough of. Watching solo movies of models is not the same as having a model living on your taskbar.

The default is 2Gb, that’s 2147483648 since the value is in Bytes (2Gb = 1024 * 1024 * 1024 * 2)

You can of course lower this value, as low as zero, if you don’t want to participate to the P2P network we use to distribute free previews, and download again each preview each time you want to watch it.

I cannot find "maxUserDefinedPreviewsBuffer" entry in my "dlm_server" registry key.

On my home machine I don't really care about it since I have a 3tb hard drive and several others for back-ups etc.

However on my mobile machine I have a 128gb SSD and would really like to limit what space is allowed if possible.

note that when the reg values of app changed not from ui - then settings in ui appears as unchanged, so if you see selected "all levels of eroticism" it's can be because the app just don't know that your regtool/playtool/script already have changed the settings. sometime is enough just reselect and no more warnings, but it's not always resets allowed choice of clips. try restart the app to reread the reg values and look what is really in "levels" field of settings. many times after restarting i saw that there selected only one type of clips so of course the app tells me "no clips to play etc".

as far as i remember since 2012 the Totem's developers many times have proved that they able to fix a bugs without lost the functionality and able to significally improve their software, so don't worry, members. of course me annoying that small improves like "all model's cards include selected in readable size right under description of selected card" in end of their to do list, but looking on posted screenshot by @Amelly i understand that devs have again more urgent things to thinking. hmm... looks like the screen buffer still contain the content of previous page...

I like the new iStripperXXX format; it's something I think is unique not produced elsewhere. The old Deskbabe shows are more like long boring porn shows, which can be readily found many places and with essentially no striptease content, which I'm more interested in.

English is my first language and I can't really tell the difference. I suppose that pornography is an erotic product. You can have erotic art, which is intended by the artist to invoke an emotion beyond pure lust, Dance can include eroticism, while being artistic. What the product consists of (*****, S&M, etc.) is irrelevant.

But iS isn't art, although elements of the dance may be artistic. It is pornographic or, if you prefer, erotic. The xxx discussion relates to degree of explicitness and format. Contributors (not me, because I'm not really a fan of the xxx cards) are getting into knots trying to differentiate the words and attributing meanings to them that don't exist.

As for exploitation, are we being exploited by women who take our money, exploiting our weakness for seeing them with no pants on? Of course we are. As we were by Titian when he painted Venus and sold it, on when we pay to listen to a couple of girls singing the Flower Duet. Is that what the "Rebuild Collection" button in advanced settings is used for, I've never had to move my collection but that sounds familiar. And make sure you pointed the software to the right directory which sounds like you may have already done.
