Thanks for clarifying a couple of things. It has made me realise that part of my post is inaccurate (in some cases). It really depends on the structure of the zip file. I don't have a top level folder in mine just the subfolders and scene files. Consequently you need to extract mine into a top level folder.

IIRC @EverthangForever and possibly some others actually put the top level folder inside the zip file. Consequently if you follow my instructions for right clicking on the zip file and accepting the default folder for the unzipping process then you will end up with a folder within a folder which will not work. I hadn't really thought about it from that point of view because I structure my zip files slightly differently. Its no wonder people are ***** even I'm getting ***** now. I've got a bit blase recently. I used to put the exact method for extracting my files in the post with the link to the scene. Just recently I have just been saying extract to the same folder as previous scenes.

Typically your scenes folder should look something like the first cap attached. Then if you click on a scenes folder (I've used one of mine for an example) you should see something like the second cap attached. There should be some sub folders and a number of files ending in .scn. The .scn files are actually the fullscreen scene files. If this is the case then the fullscreen tab on the program should look like the 3rd cap attached. You may have to double click on the scene name on the program tab to get it to expand as per the cap.

The Fullscreen program only looks inside the first level folder. If you see .scn in the main scenes folder then it will not work. If you click on one of the scene folders and all you see is another folder and no .scn files then this will not work either.

If you are still having problems please let me know whose scene files you have downloaded and I will look in the zip file and see how the folders need to be extracted and advise you. I think I have most if not all the zip files that have been posted by all of the scene creators over the last couple of years.

That explains why I don't recall her being here. That was way back in the original Virtuagirl days.

It's not that her cards were removed or withdrawn. Only a limited number were able to be saved and remastered. She's just not among the ones they could save. Unfortunately.

If I remember correctly, the tech back then had them using a media that ended up degrading over time. Tape, I think. There were alot of losses when they went back to try to save it all on new media.

The cameras they currently have might be using Solid State Drives. That's only a guess though. I won't claim to be a techy type person.

I will add tho, that some zips SHOULD extract to the MAIN scene folder. For example: If you download a zip of scenes created by, again eg, No.6 and you don't yet have any of his scenes, you should unzip to the Main scenes folder. This will create a sub-folder for No.6. If you already have a sub-folder by No.6, then normally you should extract the zip to HIS sub-folder (Unless otherwise stated in an included text file in the zip).

Some of the guys here have made it easier to extract to the correct folder automatically. (I'm not one of them as I don't really know how. Yet).

If for whatever reason, your newly extracted and installed scenes don't show up in your Fullscreen GUI, and this can happen easily as I've found quite often, the usual reason is that it's not in the correct folder or sub-folder.

Search the main scenes folder first. If you're new to this, then you should see something other than Totem's 5 installed folders, as named by kylegonjinn. If not, you extracted somewhere else, obviously ;)

If you have a number of member created scenes installed, and you don't see the newly extracted scene folder, then there are 2 possibilities. You extracted somewhere else or accidentally inside another existing scene folder. Then you need to search inside each sub-folder. Unless you know what you're looking for exactly, this can get very complicated. It might be easier to simply open the zip download and extract again to the correct folder. The scene zips are usually relatively small files so don't worry about duplication on your hard drive. Once you've figured this stuff out, you can then go back thru the folders and delete the duplications. At least that's how I've done it :)

Edit: I just re-read @no.6's post. I mis-read a small part of his post. To clarify:

Each scene you unzip to the main scenes folder MUST include ALL of the files contained in the zip IN ONE FOLDER. If you separate any of the files, the scene will either not work at all or throw up errors.

As another member said in another thread, none of us mere mortals truly know Totem's precise sales figures for any of the cards. As a business, they of course try to predict what will sell best and act on it. They know that their past best sellers will sell again and again, not just to double and triple diamond members but to newbies too :)

I understand their thinking behind bringing back these girls. Any business would do this. It makes good sense.

I also see the mixture of girls coming out each week, as does everyone else. Forgetting DB for a moment, there are currently 5 new VG cards per week. Usually, there are 2 cards from one girl in one week. We have to think in terms of HOW these cards are produced. I'm thinking in terms of the time-frame.

The Team has already explained in detail, how their production system works. They get the girls in the studio and film each one, over 2 days normally (obviously, over-lapping each girl). So, a few weeks later, their cards are fed into the system for release. They could hold back a couple of cards occasionally and release them later, to mix it up a little. If they did this too often tho, there might come a point where only ONE girl's cards would be left to release, in a given week.

Personally, I think Totem have their system just about right. New girls appear to be coming out at least every 2 weeks :)

Now, factor back in the DB cards on a Wednesday and one can see how much work is involved and also just how many girls Totem (France) can fit in a week of work. Not that many...

So NOW we have the Vegas studio and the cards are now filtering thru Totem's system. It appears that the Vegas Team are now up to speed and we should see some more variety of girls in the coming weeks :)

Has any member here actually thought about how much pressure the Team is under to keep producing cards, day in, day out to keep the business going? What if there's a problem with a card? What if a girl is ill? What if there's a technical fubar?

For these reasons and others, I have actively defended Totem's actions on numerous occasions over the last year or so. Some may think I'm kissing ass. I don't care what others think about that. I understand how tough this is to run and I, for one, am VERY happy with how Totem run their business and KEEP supplying us with what we want :D

Unfortunately the instructions for downloading scenes are lost somewhere in the dim distant past of the tutorials and discussions.

On the fullscreen tab in the program there is a link to your scenes folder. If you click on it it wil take you to the folder. You will see that the scenes are ordered in sub folders. This is very important. If you put the scene files in the main folder the program will not see them.

To install new scene files you need to create a new folder in the scenes folder. It is probably simplest if you create the folder using the name of the person whose scenes you are downloading. When you have downloaded the zip file of the scenes you must copy all the files inside the zip file into the new folder. It is very important that you copy all the subfolders to the new folder and that the scenes themselves are in the "root" of the new folder.

If you have done this correctly then you should see the new scenes on the fullscreen tab in the program.

Another way of doing it is to copy the zip file directly into the scenes folder. You can then right click on the zip file and select extract all. It will prompt you for a folder name. You can accept the default one (usually the name of the zip file) or create a new one. Click on OK and it should correctly extract all the files to the new folder.

Please note that there may be several scene files in the folder. On the program fullscreen tab if you double click on the name it will expand showing you all the scenes in that group. You can play individual scenes and enable disable scenes that you don't like or don't work well.

If you have any problems send me PM and I'll try and help you through the routine with some screencaps.

Best solution :

• Monday : same old girls, the currently favourites
• Wednesday : DB
• Friday : New girls (staying for like 3-4 cards) or comebacks

This would make everyone happy. Moreover, Anna Tatu and Playful ***** really needs to come back some day.
I also love Viola and Melisa, but I don't feel like I'm going to buy any new cards from them, such as you said Ismithiii. Even best sellers can make their fans tired. I'm not sure this is a good idea going to this direction on the long term.

At the risk of sounding like a complete dunce, I need to ask for a little help. I want to try out the custom scenes that the brilliant and creative folks here have come up with, but I can't figure out how to add those scenes to my VG. I've been browsing the forum trying to find the instructions I need, but everything seems to be about how to create custom scenes rather than add new ones I've downloaded. Right now the only ones showing up on my menu are Background 2D, Bloom, Paris Penthouse Club, Perforations, and ShadowBlob, despite my having copied some new ones I want to try into the VG scenes file folder. I don't see any options on the Full Screen menu for adding scenes (and I've made sure I'm running the most current version of the program, 1.2.0.84), and clicking and ***** the files into the program doesn't work either. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I have to agree with alot of the sentament expressed here. I love Viola, damn she is fine but I will admit, I am getting a little tired of all the new cards. I find myself questining if I will buy all of her current set. I had always liked Melisa, but something was off with her last set i only bought 1 card and won't buy the others. I agree with all who call for for Anna. I liked her first set better than the second (not a fan of bleach blond, but Anna almost pulls it off).

I think that totum has cut themselves off from a revenue stream when they discontinued subscriptions. There are cards that I feel are must have and I will spend tickets on. There are cards that are just ok, when you get them in your subscription you down load them, they will never be favorites, but it provides variety. There unfortunately cards I delete or never bother to download in the first place. I think this has trapped them into trying to film only high selling favorites. Unfortunately you can get to much of a good thing, and a lot of girls are reaching or have reached their saturation point.

I think a solution to the subscription problem is have the subscriptions only be for cards over a certain age, and to have the subscriptions be for a certain number of cards. For example only cards that have been out for over 6months or so will show up in subscriptions. I personally would not be willing to wait 6 months for must purchase cards, so I would pay the premium price to get them when they first come out. Totum then still gains revenue from cards I am indifferent or unsure of when they show up in a subscription.

I would like to make a small visual basic program where it just counts all folders and pics i have and maybe which zip files are missing. Any additional infos would help me where you get such infos from.
I googled about command line and vghd, but it just showed me thousand useless infos about how i could crack my installation. lol

Both Lucy Li(f0085), and Belle Claire(f0088)'s up coming cards have anal in it. While there has been a shortage of anal scenes overall, there have actually been quite a few recently. Kayla Glover(f0083) and Tracy Smile(f0066) have anal. I understand that the repeats and the volume of the girls are dissapointing, but Totem has been doing different things. Take the Sex on the Beach(f0097), that had four girls in it AND anal. Conceptually that card is pretty much everything I would want in a DB card, besides the performance quality, which you can't blame Totem for.

Another thing, Virtuagirl 4 is going to be getting its formal release pretty soon. I would imagine the team has been really focusing on that. I'd imagine Totem is holding back a little bit, and putting out sure things. Lucy Li is incredibly popular, so is Viola. Hence why they have so many cards.

Even if they do i still doubt i would get any since Belle Claire being blonde doesn't turn me on and Lucy Li looks to chunky and why does she have what sounds like a oriental last name when she doesn't look oriental to me. and i don't know what merry pie looks like so i won't comment on her. Hello!

After many requests for greater ethnic diversity (I really love black women), I tried to make a little statistics to see how the girls are distributed among the various ethnic groups of VG store.
As you can see from the attached diagram, European girls count for over 90% of the current store size.
I wanted to make a comparison with my collection, which consists of about 35% of the total store cards, and the results are more or less the same, with a slight variation in favor of other ethnic groups, especially those with dark skin (my taste).
All this to say that I'm always happy to have new girls every week, but I'd also like to see the new Las Vegas studio increase the representation of other ethnic groups (black, arabian, japanese, etc.).
