I have just updated my "Experiments with Swarms". In addition to the original glowing globes and the St Valentine's day hearts there are now swarms of stars, flowers and butterflies to choose from. As yet the butterflys do not flap their wings - but it ought to be possible to get them to do so.

As a couple of you have pointed out my last upload of adapted ShaderToy scenes failed. My FTP log showed that it had been uploaded - but it also reported that it took just 1 second to do so. I have tried repeatedly today to upload it again, and repeatedly failed, typically after about 10% of the file being transfered. Tonight I shall repackage it as a series of smaller zips and try again tomorrow.

I've been playing with Inigo Quilez's~ 'Fish Swimming' a lot lately.
I'm intrigued by his use of light and progressive terrains.
Fortunately, its been possible to render on a quad on this with other textures over the entire sea floor and I wanted to experiment further.

I made a transparent quad of 512 x 512 and resized it until there was no upper and lower screen black. then I was able to layer this with random textures placed in the Surfaces - 512x512 folder from previous FG014 flythru scenes.

Further down the track I included the antiAlias & BlurAndScreen & Bright fragment shaders given us by @Lezardo, for application to the sea floor as well. I reduced the resolution of the primary texture (sea floor) to 15 and opacity of @Lezardo's shaders to 0.25 to see if they would alternately share the quad somehow. Not sure if this worked entirely, however there seems to be better blending, definition and 'vertical' sizing of features consequently.

I'm really curiuos to know if anyone else is playing with this IQ shader because it has me thoroughly hooked. Inigo's rendering is truely amazing. I don't see this scene (see downloads thread ) playing on every puter, due to the demands of 4 shaders, however I'm curious nontheless. Btw, Inigo's fish just seems to interact enamoured with @TheEmu's model placement. Quite a coincidence that,. or was it ? LoL ;)

So, we've all concluded that there is NO risk involved in accepting a friend request. What one does with that later is up to the individual.

As some have stated, this topic has been blown up WAY out of proportion to my original intent. I merely wanted to advise new members that they should use caution with the people they accept as friends as they would with any other website. I did NOT intend any negative about using the forum. I have been active here in this forum just over a year now and 99.9% of my time here has been good and sometimes GREAT fun!

Time after time i see cards that are supposed to be 1080p....But its very clearly not. They are just upscaled from a lower resolution, and you crank up the contrast (and color?). And it looks very bad. White girls sometimes looks like the have lived in a solarium their entire life. And with eye-***** contrast as a bonus.

I have deleted maybe 50 cards out of 135, because its a ***** to watch them....

My latest dissapointment is MS-LYNNA, the swedish girl.
Are you really pretending that the card is 3K?...Really? (we are not blind).....It's a shame because she is VERY hot, and i would have bought the rest of her cards, but i suspect the rest of them are as bad as this one, so its not worth the gamble. I am going to delete that one too.

It's a pity because many of the girls i deleted are very very hot...
Why do you push up the contrast and colors so often? Why not just do a quality HD-recording instead, with good sound?.....I could ***** about the sound also, but its soo uneven every time that i always MUTE the girls. I could do a better sound-recording with an Iphone.

Honestly i am not sure if its failed shoots you are just trying to save, or its just that you guys don't care.

(BTW=I only buy at least 1080p-cards) In the beginning i bought three 720p-cards....So i know how your 720p-cards looks like also.

Let me just say this to end all of this, each member has their own ideas of of who a friend is and who is not a friend. And there's nothing wrong with that. Just go with you intuition on this. We have very different ideas about how to help people. I'm not saying that what you have done is bad or wrong, just that I would take a different approach.

Voila je suis inscrit depuis hier. Je trouve les contenus vraiment chouette ^^Cependant, j'ai un problème et c'est pourquoi je vous écrit ce message. J'ai acheté différentes cartes, cependant il y a une chose que je ne comprends pas. Pourquoi est-ce que quand je lance un show cela dure environ 5 minutes avant de disparaître complètement ? Quand on achète une carte il est pourtant bel et bien écrit que l'on achète un show complet d'environ 30 minutes.

Just for the precision, are you telling me to compare clips of the same card but in different resolution ... or clips of a 3k card in a given resolution compared to clips of a 1080p or 720p resolution ?

In this last case, making the comparison would imply that the clips of any card with a given resolution have the same quality, which I am not that sure. I remind feedback of members regarding some specific cards whose quality wasn't the one expected ... but maybe this has been fixed in the meanwhile.

For the first case, I will wait a couple of days that I buy the ethernet connector. I am not sure if this is linked to the wifi connectivity of my new mac but the donwload speed is quite creepy (I have tried to download back some old cards which are only around 160 MB ... so sloooow)

GUI is simply Graphics User Interface..its the appearance of the VGPlayer as it looks to you on the screen.

The files that initiate each scene are seen as xxxxx.scn files in Windows explorer. You will find them in the ..scenes/ folder of your puter usually they are one folder deep but no deeper.

Each scene file calls other files like image files, and shader files to make a scene. Its important not to move these around from folder to folder unless you know what you are doing, because they relate to where each other is placed folder wise.
