The preview pusher can be disabled in the bottom section of the Settings.... as noted above.

***** the update as soon I read about the new "Preview Pusher" feature in the forum - with no effect. So you can assume how happy I was to see the new Preview Tab in my GUI.
Luckily I had the old installer file still on my PC so reverting the version was no big deal.
However I still spent about an hour to manuallly check the numbers of the "trial" files in my vghd folder and reanble the corresponding cards via the Girls Store (!!!)

For me, I used the wishlist as my reminder of shows I definitely want to purchase later and Previews not ( yet) in my wishlist need a bit more consideration until I either delete them, put them in my wishlist or even buy them right away.

I do realize some might just use lots of previews without intention of ever buying them or some but focusing on impulsive buyers cuts out many (most certainly the majority). Limiting the offer is a business concept never working in the past - as any failed socialist state proves.

In just a bit over one month I, f.e., bought 52 cards, thats BECAUSE I had the freedom of choice !

Furthermore the feature to push random new Previews of cards to someones PC and automatically downloading them is really awesome if your internet connection is not the fastest and you still rely on it for work. So this new feature would ***** not only me to permanently delete unwanted Previews of cards I have zero interest in just to get some other with a high chance of having no fun at all again of the newly downloaded ones.

A random Preview pusher might work out as OPTIONAL feature but certainly not as way of *****.

Seems like I am not the only one considering if buying new cards is an option with this kind of policy.

While 7 previews is a bit limiting, my main concern is when they have a good discount weekend or something since I like to download a stack of previews to compare them. Limited to 7 would make that more tedious than it should. Also I see no reason why to limit all paying accounts to 7. Seven? Really?

I've been able to access the existing previews I had downloaded prior to this update, without needing to re-download them, however that doesn't mean I haven't lost any previews to the bug mentioned above.

While we at least kept the previews, you guys at Totem kind of screwed up by not putting the Warning in with the upgrade notification... that really should go, if you're going to make more drastic changes in the future.

But in this case, I think the point trying to be made is, it's not IF they "LIKE it" personally but how much has to be paid, to see them do it on camera. I have just noticed the 'category' clip attribute for fullscreen, and I have read some of the postings on Page 36 of this thread.

I agree that category 'Big Boobs' works, and I can report that the category 'Bikes' also works, but 'Naked Feet' does not.

Also, I find I cannot put in >1 category on the same line:
category: bikes, big boobs // does not work
Similarly puttting two category lines in the clip definition causes only the 2nd to be accepted.

I cannot see any way of denying a category.

Yet considering the "Wishlist" consistently loses the cards you put in it and with no solution to this bug in sight, it isn't an option either.

I guess I won't upgrade anytime soon and encourage anyone reading this to boycott purchases until a satisfactory compromise has been achieved.

I realise Totem is a business and wants to sell, but depriving potential customers of interesting functions is not a way to encourage sales, far from it.

.The first beta to limit us to 7 demos had a "bug". It deleted all demo clips for purchased cards. Totem had not yet come up with a fix for that.

So this bug is present in this release too?!

Honestly, it was such a ***** to reinstall the program and redownload everything just for those demo/transition clips, I don't want to risk it.

I'd like to try the new preview tab, but I'll do that in the safety of a virtual machine.

Open your editor.
Input the text that displayed in the picture.
Save this file as "LanguageToEnglish.reg".
Double click this REG file.

Close the iStripper program and start again.

I know they need the money and I think they deserve it. I started over with iStripper 4 months ago and I purchased 251 cards so far. For me.. this is a huge step back! On last version upgrade I got one really annoying and bad new feature.. and now we lose all the previews. What comes next?

I have no problem if they just want encourage those to buy new cards.. who were using mainly the previews so far. But this is a no-go for purchasers!

A good compromise would be.. new users without purchased cards.. can have 7 previews. And then.. for every ten purchases you get +7 previews. Means.. if you own 10 cards you have 14 previews, 20 cards = 21 previews, 30 cards = 28 previews.. and so on. Maybe 100 or 200 cards = unlimited previews.

Another idea could be.. you start with 7 previews.. and after purchasing a card you get +5 previews. Then.. every day you don't purchase a card.. you will lose 1 preview.. until you fall back to 7 previews. Buy a new card = get +5 previews. And same here.. after purchasing 100 or 200 cards you should not lose previews.

But as it seems now.. "upgrade and you lose all previews".. is just a slap in the face to all purchasers.

Just one more thing missing about "automatically push in new Free Previews there every 10 minutes". I would lay bets on.. that there is no filter and no control for the users. Means they throw everything on our screen they want. Same as the carussel actually works. You don't like duos.. red hairs.. xxx.. asia? Doesn't care.. download it all.

For me it's simple: No previews on upgrade = no upgrade = no more purchases. This is the exact opposite of what they maybe want: more purchases.

After iStripper came out one new capability was to download the demos of your choice. Totem saw that a large number of "customers" purchased no cards, but downloaded many demos. They also saw a decline in sales which they attributed to the availability of unlimited demos. As a result, about 3-4 beta versions ago they put a 7-card limit on the number of demos a person could have available for playing. Some people were using these demos as a form of wishlist and this limit wiped that out. The warning is to tell you that if you are using demos as a wish list you should used the relatively new wishlist feature instead because only the 7 most current demos will be available to you in the future.

The first beta to limit us to 7 demos had a "bug". It deleted all demo clips for purchased cards. Totem had not yet come up with a fix for that.

No. If you download the new version you will lose access to all but the 7 latest demos. I don't know the status of the bug that deletes demos of purchased cards. There is a chance that the new software will also delete them.

You can download and play any demos you wish, but only the 7 most recent downloads are playable and Totem will push demos to your computer that will kick out the demos you've loaded. They want you to buy cards, but maintain a permanent collection of free demos of your choice.

The way I read that, they have improved their post process techniques, but maybe this newest version has better image processing.

Not only were the wishlisted previews not transferred, I even reverted to a previous version and the damage was not undone. I can sort of understand why you would limit a new free user to 7 previews but why do this to paying customers and with such little warning?

Steady guys :) There was a glitch a few Betas ago but appears to be fixed now. If your demo clips are still on your HDD's, then you haven't lost them. You can reactivate them whenever you want but the new preview tab will only allow 7 active at a time. Remember when we could only watch the demos that were on the carousel? Same thing really only less cards activated at once.

You can always go back to version 1.2.148 and all your free demos should be available.

I have downloaded previews of half of the girls available. I download always all new shows after launching the app. So I exacly know which show I know / have seen.. and which not. I just mark those shows for wishlist.. which I want buy next weekend.

This "warning" about previews should have been stated when the new version was mentioned, not buried in the forum. I was quite fond of my vast amount of filtered previews. If I wishlist them now (post update) can I have more than 7 active? If not, this is going to be pretty detrimental, an update with no upside and MAJOR downside.

Hi at all, I just downloaded the new version, but seems that nothing happens in the "Previews" section, I mean no girls come out !!!

A new version of iStripper is available and it comes with some useful improvements.

#1 - A new tab "Previews" tab in the main header.

This new tab shows the 7 Free Previews currently active on your computer. Downloading a new Free Preview adds it at the right, which pushes the oldest one out to the left. The software will also automatically push in new Free Previews there every 10 minutes when the software is activated and in use.
WARNING If you currently have more than 7 Free Previews on your computer, they will be removed when you upgrade. Make sure you put all your previews in your wishlist before upgrading so that you don't lose them.

note: Free preview push can be disabled in your settings if you have made at least One purchase of credits.

#2 - New notifications system for users on Windows.
This system is the best way to keep you instantly informed of the great new deals and important messages. Now, you can now choose if you want to be notified by the software itself or directly by Windows OS. Of course you can disable the whole notification system in the advanced settings.

#3 - New image processing (Will be visible with future clips).
This new processing will significantly improve the colorimetric rendering of our future productions.

#4 - New "US stars" filter
Now you can quickly find all the US stars we have produced in our Las Vegas studios: simply select "US stars" category in the girls store.

#5 - Filters are disabled when you make a search in the store
When you type something in the search field, it disables any filter you would have selected and makes them disappear.
