Of course you are allowed to ask this kind of question. I'll try to answer it.

The mechanics of creating and using a playlist is simple enough. You use the Save playlist button on the Playlists tab of the My Collection tab of the VG application. (see screen shot) (Please note that I've got a Mac so what you see in Windows will be a little bit different. I'm also an English speaker so the terminology I'm using, like Enabled/Disabled, is what you see if the VG application is set to English.) Then you can use the Load Playlist button to make it active.

A broader question is how does this work and what does it do? A playlist is a record of the Enabled/Disabled status and Favorite/Not favorite status of every card you owned at the time the playlist was created. If you've purchased cards since you created a playlist, those cards will be assumed (I think) to be Disabled and Not favorite when the playlist is loaded. For the purpose of using a playlist, only the Enabled/Disabled status matters. The VG application will automatically play only Enabled cards. It doesn't matter what cards you see in the My collection tab.

To change the Enabled/Disabled status of a card you click on the green check mark icon below the currently selected card at the bottom left of the My collection tab. You can change the status of multiple cards by selecting more than one card first. This works well for a small collection. For a large collection you can use the filters to select a group of cards. Playlists work at the card level only. There is no way within the VG application to save a list of clips as a playlist. At an advanced membership level, it is possible to select or deselect clips, but the playlist file does not record this information. There are at least three free add-on applications that will create playlists at the clip level. All of them only work for Windows. All of them depend on the version of the VG application you are using. I believe the current Windows version now allows these third-party apps to work, but only if they have been properly modified.

Rotating the tunnel by 90 degrees was the first thing I changed from IQ's shader. The pictures are of tunnels based on a picture of my back garden.

Bravo @Theemu, if the tunnel constructed can be made to rotate around screen midpoint z 90 degrees, that would really help artistically because the opposing vertical walls being used as the 'join' point is naturally unaesthetic and difficult to work with. Currently the field of view (number of pixels) available to the scene has to be made optimum for visual quality in the backdrop image in order to make scenes detailed enough and textures have to be cropped very carefully to avoid gaps at joins, so it will be very interesting to see how GPU load is affected by smaller imput Texture2Ds & in-shader duplications. .very exciting experiments 😄.

I worked out that pixilation of butterflies was causing the 'fluttering' because use of small images for Tunnel like the table or stage, made the butterflies less detailed & 'blocky' when their resize was generated. Under rapid movement the eye interprets this effectively as chaotic and variable fluttering, so quite useful nevertheless imho.

It is certainly possible to use shader functionality to replicate a texture with mirroring so that it tiles seamlessly. At least to a first order, i.e. the colours match at the seams though it depends on the image as to just how visible the joins are.

I am currently working on a series of experiments based on a generalised version of Inigo Quilez's Square Tunnel shader, one that can be used for square, rectangular, circular, oval or diamond shaped tunnels and can be configured using a bunch of optional uniforms defined in the .scn file. One of the options controls just how to do the mirroring when applying the image tiles.

I expect to make it available on Monday or Tuesday.

Looks like the first ladies from the US Studio is on the way... =)

Thanks Number6, yes the Lunar's pics are huge as 2-way doubles & processing the shift of so many multi contrasting colors and resizing could be the problem. If the 'half tunnel" (original sized) images rendered on the tunnel walls don't stutter, then we can get a handle on whether the image size is the problem. The original pics in the ETImages directory often used black between LunarPup's colors which I've been converting to transparent in Paint.net so that could be affecting their processing also.

Let us know if you find some stepping or other solution..Unfortunately reducing the size of the "seamless" mirrored 3840 x 2400 raw images destroyed the quality too much to use when I tried doing that. For seamless mirroring I suspect the GPU should be able to efficiently process that via some sort of simple inversion or rotate code in the shader, which would help a lot. Where to do that in IQ's lines, I don't know. I've tried to predispose inverts/rotations with several parameters at the SCN level on the same "half" original image to get things to remain aligned under animation, but so far failed. :(

Edit: Something strange.. If you can run the PPClub table image as a tunnel render (see above pic)...the butterflies wings flutter.

Just realised i had not included use of ALL @TheEmu's new Uniforms in the above zips. sorry about that. Update2 has it now. Remix this to the max guys, its good practice ..maybe more models or have the batterflies fly around the front of models whatever...you can't break anything..if you think you have, just delete the ETTE - files, keep these zips and reinstall when things look too pear-shaped from tweaking, lol as @alerte used to say ~have funrious lots, tks ;-) zipsize 10 MB

Just had a quick play with your new upload. You asked at some point in the dim distant past to let you know if there were any problems with playback.

I am getting some stuttering on the 3 off FractalGarden021deepswarms.

I need to do some investigation to find out why, but at first glance it appears to be texture related. Some of the simple textures run fine but the more complex ones (some of @Lunarpup's) are stuttering as they play (along with the video clips). It may be related to the size of the texture but I can't confirm this until I've had a look at the files that I am having problems with.

It will be few days before I can check these out. I'll post back if/when I find the problem.

In this update its explained how use of frame buffers can make the butterfly shader behave like a sprite which can then be animated using normal animate: in the SCN code. I've provided a couple more seamless texture SCNs (as 'sceneskin') to illustrate the possible effects. Note: this is an update only to the above zip. so allow files to replace when extracting.

Yes, about this zip, I'm sorry about the variety of shader names. Essentially all the ETTE SCNs that are not called '...coalescing butterflies' run from ..Coalescing Butterfly Swarm - 14.fsh which is same as ET's Butterfly Swarm.fsh. The major differences are in Theemu's use of one quad-one shader, after 'ETTE - 8 TheEmu = CoalescingButterflies - 13.scn'. One quad becomes allowable when all the butterflies are placed behind all the performers. The uniforms are a tweaker's paradise ;-)

• The other changes I've made is to mirror horizontally and vertically several tunnel render images for seamless joins.
  
• There is a peculiar to VGPlayer comment, about rendering transparent images as Texture2Ds at the ending code of 'Deform - Square TunnelTrans.fsh' worth noting .
  

~ Some good ideas I've learnt to avoid tears when tweaking Uniforms and other settings:

1. ALWAYS change the name of the file you are tweaking BEFORE doing anything, so you won't accidentally overwrite the original

2. Leave the original code line as a duplicate original line but // stroked out before you tweak there.
That way you will know what to get back to if your tweaking misbehaves too much.
This habit also allows you to make progressive changes and see the history.

3. You can put things like the original SCN file name in // remix comments in the preamble ...for reference.

4. Try to put range limits for settings if you know them, in your comments

5. If something is 'halfgood' don't throw it away...put something like 'Fred - ' in front of the resaved name and you can get back to it, however your VGPlayer name-tree remains untainted.

Have managed to download your latest efforts. I haven't had a lot of time to play but these look great and they all work fine on my machine. The butterflies are much better. I still think there ought to bats in tunnels though :-)

As you can see from the screen caps in the above post I have a few shader senes that are nearly ready to upload. Some of them illustrate the point we were discussing earlier re: dropping the number of iterations in a loop.I'll add more detail when I have managed to upload them.
