I support @HSS plea for fullscreen VGHD to be adapted to support or at least be portable with WebGL. The only reason I can think of why this has not happened, is that keeping it fullscreen was probably originally conceived as a way of preventing capture by folks of VG shows as movie files, however people especially gamers with Fraps etc. can probably do that already anyhow if they want to.

I'm enamoured of the notion of centralising all the shader toy VGHD adaptations in one place and am most grateful for TheEmu's effort to provide a 'home' URL for this to occur. In any successful future adaptations of shadertoys I can muster, I will try to rename accordingly so as to fit the systematic folder index approach TheEmu has provided with minimal effort required on his part, for inclusion in that listing. Once again, thanks for setting this up for everyone's benefit @TheEmu, and for maintaining it as non-commercial, and thanks to you & @Wyldanimal for commenting well (incl. showing the original code stroked out ) for any tweaks you guys make to enhance performance. You guys have truely made sharing a future joy !

You mentioned some time ago that the VGHDPlayer was not yet music responsive ( & we know ShaderToy currently is ). Is that 2nd iChannel & extra textures use with music beat a logical next step ? I hope so.

Thanks for that, Beast. I only selected that page as an example to show what you can play with, regarding code and seeing what your changes do :) I played for hours with that particular shader to no avail. We live and learn :)

So, the logical next question is... why can't Totem change the software to use the same WebGL functions? Not necessarily the audio but at least be able to download a shader with minimal code alterations. It appears that shaders are becoming a big thing here now so, can Vg's GLSL be changed to align with the web? That would make life easier :)

Just thought I'd point this out as well.
if the Shader has any iChannel inputs, it generally won't work with Totem.
This Solar Flare Shader uses Two iChannels

The First one is iChannel0
this shader uses the Image's resolution and luminosity of the pixels to create the size of the flares.

Since Totem doesn't have this, you'd have to write your own Noise function, and use that instead of the iChannel0

The 2nd iChannel1 has a music file as input.
This shader uses the Bass Beats to Pulse the Star

This too could be replaced by a psudo random function.
but you'd have to code it.

Totem does have Texture0, but so far,
I've only been able to get that to work with the clipsrpite as the input.

I guess some more experimentation should be done, to fully know how Texture0
can be used.

And perhaps there is also Texture1, Texture2 etc...

I just downloaded your collaborative efforts with @yidincrete. That Bouncy Castle is great! Hahaha. It's very funny at times when the girls are in certain positions. Good job, both of you! The carousel in the Paris club is very cool too :)

I was chatting with @ET for a while last night and mentioned that it's much easier to play with the settings in real time on the Shadertoy website. Apparently he wasn't aware of this capability yet. I found it by accident yesterday :)

You don't need to download a shader and modify it for VG until you know it will work ok. You can check your frame rate by running it full screen and when you hit escape, you'll see the frame rate it was running at in fullscreen mode. I'm guessing if it's 30 fps or more, it should run smoothly on VG when adapted to run with a scene :)

As it uses slightly modified version the original Seascape shader by Alexander Alekseev from ShaderToy.com I have not included this shader in the ShderToy.com directory, but at some point I will put the original there for reference.

I have just updated the ShaderToys directory at TheEmusNest.eu with a couple of shaders I adapted myself, GK - Tan Quazicrystal and Ian McEwan's Peering Through, and also with Reinder Nijhoff's Prentententoonstelling which was adapted by EverthangForever.

Both Peering Through and Prentententoonstelling place heavy loads on the GPU and may be jerky on some systems, including my own.

I have altered Reiner's shader a little in an attempt to reduce the GPU load, with limited success. In doing so I made a small number of parameters easily tweakable so you might try playing with them.

I have also made three versions of the .scn file, one uses the full screen for the shader's output and the other two restrict it to a smaller area by clipping it in either the X direction or in both the X and Y directions. The clipped versions put a much lower strain on the GPU and play quite well on my laptop, but are not as good looking as the full screen version.

Be warned, even the clipped versions take a few seconds before anything is displayed, during which the screen stays blank. On my laptop this lasts for about 10 seconds.

Today will probably see my last contributions for a while as I have to return to my own home and place of work. I will try to look in as often as possible, but it may be up to a month or even 6 weeks before I can access VGHD and this forum again.

Sorry Hombre even the author said it would be processor intensive. I did get your seascape shader compatible ok with the link previously..its great tks ;)

See, I can be assertive when I want. lol

I know how difficult this task is. All 280 or so a-series VGHD models have been placed on my personal ladder. Playing on my desktop right now are 4 models not in my top 200, yet each of them is without doubt a gorgeous woman.

How does anyone decide who should receive part of your 30 votes? I can only answer for myself.
I started with the 2 or 3 girls I simply could not leave out. Then I considered each girl in my collection and placed names on a "short list" for inclusion. Well, the short list numbered over 80 !!! So, I then tried thinking in reverse - which girls would not cause me grief if I deleted them? That helped narrow the field until I had my final (revised) list of votes.

But there are still many, many girls that I would like to give at least 1 vote. If I do the exercise again next week, I am fairly sure to arrive at a much different list of votes.

My advice to members who have not yet voted is - Give it a shot.

There is no right or wrong about your personal opinion, and you can always revise your votes later if you wish. But try to keep revisions down to one or two. Each update takes me around half an hour, after double checking.

Worst case - You will revisit some cards you have not looked at for a while. I have found that is often a pleasant surprise.

Edit: Very cool shader but sadly a little too much for my GPU. The girls are running at half speed or less :'(

I've tried tweaking a number of settings but just made things worse for me. Any ideas on what might speed it up a little, buddy? Apart from a new rocket GPU! ;)

Here is another shadertoy for sharing. I adapted for VGHD Player the Reinder Nijhoff's bitmap transformation of Escher's Prentententoonstelling.

TheEmu..I'd be grateful if you could tweak further as you require & add it to your pages of adapted Shadertoys listed under Reinder Nijhoff, so people can get everything including this droste in the one big zip. I've tried to keep the names consistant so its easy to include ..thanks a lot ;)

To be honest, I never knew that the favourite button did anything other than mark the card in your collection so you could spot it easier when scanning thru the cards.

I suppose the only way it would help at present is to make a playlist out of the cards you mark as favourites.

I agree tho, it would make it quicker and easier if the filter was added so that only the favourites showed up in the GUI and then you could select them all in 2 quick clicks.

Time for another cool, shader scene :) This is called Seascape. I adapted it from Shadertoy, made by a guy called TDM. His original is a rotating shader but with incredibly realistic water effects. He made this completely by CG. NO Textures, photos, nada! Amazing stuff :)

I figured out how to stop the rotation as the poor girls (and viewers!) would get seasick. You can start it back rotating if you feel like it by changing this parameter:

I got a lot of my cards on a subscription,I'll just wait until they start letting you get a subscription again,after the newness wears down I think they will start it up again,If not I guess my 2579 cards is enough for me. and yes I can afford to buy them,but I don't think I ever paid more then a dollar for a card not until the 3k cards come out. I like the Star performer plus a backing chorus line. The result looks good.

A few very ***** points:-

You probably want to add "behindtable" to the list of clip types to deny for the "Clip" chorus line clip - otherwise you get performers sticking out through the platform. You should also probably add "accessories" to the list of things to deny - otherwise you get chorus lines with the occasional motorbike or armchair spoiling the general effect, and you might consider denying accessories for the main performer as well. It may be worth while adding "inout" to the deny lists so you don't get the performers walking on or off the stage.

Some work is needed on the reflection in the scene with just one large girl, but you seem to have handled it well in the other scenes.

In all but one of the scenes there is an error which causes the "toggle log" button to show next to the "show on full screen" button below the preview window. This is due to the declaration of the texture node

because you have no "plan0.png" file in your "single" directory. You should either supply the missing file or modify the scene not to use the SceneMask.

You only use one clipNameSprite, and this this is for the chorus line 's sprite. You should either use two clipNameSprites, one for each clip, and position them not to overlap, or switch the single clipNameSprite to reference the main performer.

I have made one (last) tweak to Hombre Sin Sombra's "Flame of Life" scenes. The cage now starts below the screen, rises up into the flames, remains in the flames for a period and then sinks down through them again. This is repeated every 30 seconds.

i think it's depending of how big your collection is and how many cards you have marked as favourite.
i hope a filter for favs will come. it has been mentioned in many beta-test topics.

In the current version it is not possible to filter cards that are marked as favorites.

In older versions of the software it was possible to Favorites cards filtering. It has been some time not possible.

The main filter 'Always show' the Favorites filter would be possible as a filter.

This is a good idea. Make it but a suggestion for improvement.

I would like to know the answers to @Dorsai6's questions also.

Some of the later VGHD girls could have become outshone by the newer e-series of interactive cards.

MultiCard Download has been this way for Years...
On the Collection Screen, the Percentage / Progress bar, it the Progress of ALL Selected Cards.
While on the advance settings, you see the Progress of Each card seperatly.

Try this..
Select 2 or 3 cards and start the download..
Stay on the my Collection view.

the Progress is that for all cards currently Selected.

Now Only Select One of the cards..

Notice how the progress bar Now Only is for the Single Selection.

Go Ahead..
Select Two of the cards again..

and the progress bar changes, because now, it's the progress for Both cards.

This is not New, it's been like this for Years.

PS: as the card is downloading, any clips that match your setting will also start to play. So you don't have to wait for the card to fully download to see the clips. Any clip that is complete will be playable.

Created one more new shader scene and split my 4k stuff into shader and non shader scenes. Also did some fine tuning on a couple scenes and edited a few new colour versions of Caustic Water shader (You'll see why...). Please delete (or back it up somewhere) my old ZZ 4K folder from your scenes before putting in the new 4K scenes for housekeeping purposes.

@jonC001, I have noticed the same thing. At least to my laptop, it seems Totem software allows no more than 2 cards to be downloaded simultaneously. Any more than two are kept in a queue until a card is completely downloaded and a gap opens up for the next. On occasion, one of the two current downloads will freeze or drop out. The download button is then re-activated on the display in my collection and must be clicked again to resume the download.

Not sure if it is connected to multiple downloading, but lately I have noticed some of my cards freeze on certain clips, indicating some file corruption.

Hombre Sin Sombra has agreed to let me host his scenes and Yidincrete has provided me with realistic settings for two of my "Experiment" scenes. I have therefore uploaded these to TheEmusNest.eu web site where you may access them from the downloads page.

The Hombre Sin Sombra scenes are in their own directory and zip file and comprise

1) A simple 2D scene
2) A shader based "Pervy Alien" ogling two pole dancers
3) A pair of scenes based on the ShaderToy.com Flame shader

These last two are loosely based on the idea of the rejuvenating "Flame of Life" in H Rider Haggard's novel "She" - which you may have seen in the 1960's movie starring Ursula Andress. They may, however, stress your GPU resulting in jerky animation. They play smoothly on high end systems.

Similarly the Yidincrete's enhanced Emu's experimental scenes are also in their own directory called TheEmu+Yidincrete. Now that they have been provided with suitable setting they are no longer regarded as being experiments but "products". There are only two scenes

1) A "Bouncy Castle" garden party.
2) A carousel installed in the Paris Penthouse club.

Please feel free to download the zips and let me, and the others, know what you think.

I know that marking a card as a Favorite (with the heart) was supposed to make that card play more frequently. Is this still true with the new version of VG? If so, how much more frequently? How much is the "weight" of the card increased with respect to non-favorite cards in the random selection algorithm?

Is there a way to filter just favorite cards in the My Collection tab?
