It's a great pity that according to the showroom there are only few buyable cards in the future. One of them would have been the 'Black Fox'. It's even more disappointing that it's unbuyable.

@dfner - in what way is it exploitative to offer something as an optional extra? If you don't like the extra option then simply ignore it and you are back in exactly the same situation you would be in if the offer had never been made in the first place. If the offer had not been made then either this particular card or some other card would not currently be available at all.

I still have more than 4,000 credits so I could easily simply pre-purchase the July cards and be done with it..., but this kind of business is "not on", seriously.

It's exploitative, over greedy and disrespectful to loyal customers. I don't know if they realise it at Totem, but they are alienating the most loyal customers at the expense of quick buck... So short sighted, I used to have respect for them.... Maybe the amount of purchases of new customers compensates the diminishing cash flow from the rest of us, and if so, good luck and enjoy your cash!! You won't get any more from me...

Unless something changes drastically, I will let my credits dwindle down over time for models I AM interested in (in contrast to the models I couldn't care less, that Totem tries to ***** feed me with these blind bundle buys with "special event cards" as bait).

They'll get my purchases until late 2020 based on the amount of credits on my account at the moment. But I very much doubt I will buy any more credits, whether there will be a cashback promo or not in the future. If there will be an opportunity to obtain the Red Fox special event card with the credits I have left at that particular point, I will likely do that.

Anyway, it was fun as long it lasted. I found this site only about 16 months ago, so I'm not overly invested.. have fun, I probably won't be here any more. 😀😋

My collection consists of over 2000 shows that I specifically wanted to purchase, but it also includes over 200 shows that I watched once, if at all, before deleting. I'm always excited to add to the 2000+ collection, but I swear I'll never purposefully purchase another pack of cards if there's a chance to get another card I just - don't - want.

It's not about discounts for me. It's not about special cards. It's about me not wanting to feel like I'm wasting my money. And that's what I'd be doing if I paid for this preorder.

And listen, the reality is that I don't need iStripper. I like it. I want to see beautiful women performing erotically on my desktop. But I don't need it, and it follows that I don't need Michelle's newest card either. So I'm not going to blow credits on around ten cards I don't want just to get between one and twenty cards that I do want.

@BCPK and @CwHart, you are both Double Diamonds. Standard price for Double Diamond member is 15 credits per show, so you should pay 31 cards * 15 cr = 465 credits.

775 would be 31 cards * 25 cr. This shouldn't be possible, because even if you're Bronze member, you will get the Silver status after purchasing 10th card. With the Silver status you gets 10% off. I don't know how is the price calculated, but I think the price for Bronze member should be: 10 cards * 25 cr + 21 cards * 22,50 cr = 722,50 credits.

That being said the large price is due to preording all the cards for the month of July, and getting the exclusive card. It's sort of an incentive to have you commit to a whole month of cards in one price.

To all the people saying you need a million credits to get the all the "special event" cards here is my tally.

I started with the Olivia Sin - New Years Eve card as my first special event card back on December 24, 2018.

In the past 6 months I have done the following and acquired all 5 previous cards.

• 500 Credit Reloads x 5(included some with bonus credits)
• 1000 Credit Reloads x 1(included bonus credits)

I don't really care for Ginebra but I got her and the rest through playing the games. Your going to have to spend some money and get cards your probably don't like but previously unavailable cards that some of us members didn't even know existed can now be acquired and deserved to have hoops jumped through if you want them.

That does mean having more scratch card games where, in theory, you could spend a million credits or more, and still not obtain an exclusive card.

Yes in theory but not likely. Again the logic and hence the probability is unknown but the results are obvious; if you play the games long enough you will eventually win the card. In your case there is very little else left to sell you so I would expect you would win it fairly quickly and probably cost you less than the calendar you just bought.

And while I doubt Totem is paying much attention to any specific case, I bet they are confident those willing to buy the calendar and cards at any cost will continue buying credits no matter what they might be saying out loud. I thought I was getting out and I haven't bought credits in 2019 but unless my experience degrades I'm sure I'll buy credits again; I just spend less of them now .

From what I can tell the majority of members are against exclusive cards and games but until today they did seem more tolerant of the calendar. I'm pretty confident the majority buying the calendar did so begrudgingly but they are still buying it. Totem is going to keep doing these things until enough members choose not to continue supporting them and I'm starting to doubt that will ever be the case. sadly, it is what it is.

@HansSachs - I admit that it has been controversial, at least among the relatively small proportion of Totem users that participate in the forum (though I don't regard it as being as controversial as you seem to think). And, as I have said several times I personally do not like the basic idea - but it seems to work for Totem and as long as they do not over do it (6 times a year would indeed be too many time in my opinion) then I see no reason why they should want to stop.

The poll shows that more than 80% do not think cards should never be unobtainable by normal means, almost 50 percent are willing to give totem the go ahead and say they can do these promotions but eventually the card should be released as normal for purchase. 35% think they should be done away with all together. While 180 isnt alot it least shows those who are active in the forms what they think.

I am still without that card and have not purchased a single credit since it was released but am merely running my credit balance down to Nil.

No but yes.
I mean that such offers can be very remunerative at starting, but eventually they do create more and more disaffection and bothering to the many people who are not so entuxiast or even extremely upset by the offer, but decide, for various reasons, to buy it anyway. And after more time, and more and more exclusive cards, we can not be sure of what will happen.
Not so few of this bothered people, when 4th or 5th exclusive card appeared clearly said they were going to stop buying anything from Totem.
I hope they eventually didn't, and I hope people not to go away from this program, but I also hope not to have to see 6 exclusive cards per year or so.
Personally, I am not ashamed to say I totally detest this form of "exclusive" business, and would like it to disappear as soon as possible and forever from Istripper; but everyone should admit that it has been, and is, controversial at best.

Special event, exclusive cards, would had a significance if:
a) they were special (once a year or twice a year) and
b) if they were exclusive.

a) By releasing a special event card every two months... Totem managed to "*****" the "special" significance.
b) By offering them through gambling games (which suck by the way)... Totem managed to "*****" their exclusivity.

As it is now this "special events" seem more and more like "blackmail events" = "if you don't preorder at full price a package of cards, you will never get the card... unless you gamble in the future..."

For me the only special feature of those cards is the inability to easily identify/view them in our collections.

Of course I haven't seen the sales figures, but Totem have said in the past that they are measured in the tens of thousands. At best the number of people ***** in these forums is a measured in double figures, not even hundreds let alone thousands. But Totem do have the sales figures and can see what effect the special offers have on them - and I am pretty sure that they use them to guide their actions. I've always defended Totem's actions re: promotions, special events, etc.

Still, I'm seeing the same complaints over and over and although I may not agree with some or all of those complaints, Rex, something has to change. There's too much negative going on here.

As a fairly long standing, loyal member that used to enjoy coming here to share my stuff and shoot the breeze with my buddies, it's even more tedious to read the last posts...

When Ginebra Bellucci's exclusive card was released, as everyone can check, we got a TGIF thread of more of ten (ten!) pages almost totally consisting of angry comments about the offer. Only two weeks later another special event card, Josephine Jacksons' one (which was the last exclusive card until today) was released, and we could see lots of disappointment also, even if not as much as we saw with Ginebra's one (which was attainable only per scratch cards).

I agree with that; but the problem is that also many people who ***** the exclusive cards promos, endly buy the offer anyway, because they really want that particular card and they know there will not be any other way of getting it anymore within precise and known limits of a reasonable price, but only by gambling, having potentially to waste thousand of credits in order to get it. I did like so with Josephine's card (a favorite of me) and I am not sure I eventually won't do that with Red Fox's one too... my weakness.

Poll shows nothing at all, not enough people cared to vote or could not properly pick which option to vote for.
Option a) and b) with the 12+4 % took away 16% of the votes, which would have shown a significant difference between c) and d) if there would have been no a) and b) choices.
The winner 50 % says nothing: if only half on the people agree, it means, that the other half disagreed somewhat.
The customers still ***** about this type of cards.
Poll was a good initiative, but did not helped to say what most of the customers want.

The normal price for a triple diamond member, such as @bjlover, is 13.5 credits per card, so the 31 cards for July would normally cost him 418.5 credits. If as the original poster said he would willingly pay 200 credits just for the Black Fox Card then, in effect, the cost for the 31 cards for the month drops to 218.5 credits - i.e. using his own estimate of the (minimal) worth of the special event card there would be an almost 50% extra discount for the month - or you could think of it as paying up full normal discounted price for 16 cards and getting the other 15 for free.

Now not everyone would agree that the black Fox card is worth 200 credits (I certainly don't) but if the original poster really would willingly pay that much for it then he should regard the offer as a bargin.

TBH man most people who prolly just buy it more than likely arent involved much in these forum posts so the chances of them seeing this post is prolly slim. Even still we don't know how many will exactly support this one. Like I said last time they gave a nice discount to the whole package. Now it seems like there is more resistance.

There were thirteen cards I did not want in the month of June and the lineup of girls for July is very similar, so as much as I love The Red Fox, that is far too many unwanted cards to buy to get one I do want.

I guess I will just have to do without "The Black Fox". I am begining to agree with all those who ***** the special event cards.

Wyldanimal, you are right paying 200 for one card when you could pay almost double and get that one card plus a handful of others you may have gotten anyways in exchange for some you wouldnt wont is insane logic.

Now onto the whole discount thing, it shows more incentive to buy in bulk like that. A single card isn't going to be enough for most even if it's the only way to obtain it. You are asking them to drop atleast 400 credits and hope more are hits for them than misses and that is honestly asking for alot. I say a flat 20% discount on top of the member status discount like what they did for the Josephine special event would be ideal.

If you guys would stick the Girls in great outfits (compare to boring ones) maybe the over all selling from the weekly cards would be better and you don´t have to let the people pre-pay for a hole month and get cards with it wich they wouldn´t pay for.

I agree with @orclover on these two points. Totem is free to offer whatever promotions they like. Yes, as customers, we are free to *****, but there's absolutely no feedback that's as loud as simply not participating in offers that we don't like.

Totem is not stupid or evil, but like most businesses they experiment with "elasticity of demand". That's the economic principle to describe how the price of a highly desired item can be increased without losing a significant number of buyers and/or profit. However, at some point, an increase does cause a significant loss, so businesses roll back to the previous price and consider that an appropriate price based on current demand. In this case, Totem is testing to see whether customers will pre-pay for a month of cards with no discount and only the special event card as an incentive. It sounds like a lot of us posting in this thread won't, but if enough people do buy it, then there's no reason that Totem shouldn't continue to offer promotions like this. I might not like missing out on The Black Fox card, but that's the way the free market works.

(It's really too bad that stoicism isn't a sport because I would seriously kick ass ... 😐)
