I realise now that that was not quite true. When I refered to "XXX clips" I should have said "the XXX contents of some clips". One of the things I liked about the old XXX cards was that the average clip length was longer than that for the non-XXX cards. There were clips for which the XXX rating only applied to the final part of the clip and, for these clips, it would be the initial non-XXX part that I found most interresting.

This applied equaly to those clips where the initial part was "just" a striptease or to those where it was more explicit but left you thinking "is she going to use that toy or not?". In the latter case if the answer turned out to be "yes" then I would typicaly move on to the next model (often not even waiting until the end of the clip), but if it was "no" then I would usualy stay with the same card until the answer was "yes". I prefer being teased rather than always granted immediate satisfaction.

Part of what I liked about the XXX cards, the clips were all long clips, so some of the disrobing clips were drawn out and very sexy. So you would get 3 of those and then the follow up xxx to go with them.

It's harder to send PM now from a browser; you have to click user name/avatar, then the arrow top-right on the popup to open their profile in a new page. There is a button on the avatar to send PM.

If you're viewing your profile in the browser, the names with clocks beside them are friend requests. Accepted friends have no clock. To manage them (accept, refuse, block) you have to click on the profile button in the iStripper client.

I agree with @cdub87. For me the XXX clips are an added extra that I am happy to have but I have never regarded them as the most important part of any card. To use an analogy - for the cards that have them the XXX clips are the "destination" but, for me, it is the "journey" to get there that provides most of the interrest.

I for one love the new format. I have never cared for the whole masturbation with a toy or another girl. Its short of having a porno flick play on screen. VGHD/iStripper has always been about the tease. The boundaries kept getting pushed further and further out but I think Totem is trying to go back to the core roots of the company and be profitable at the same time.

I think it is hight time that someone tell totem that the new xxx format can't last any longer. Let me explain for those who haven't yet purchase new xxx cards : in fact you only have (for most of them) 1 or 2 xxx clips (it's ok that's not bothering me) but what annoys me it's the lenght of the clips sometimes 1 mn or less and the actresses for some of them only rub themselves. in fact it would be better to edit explicit cards (full nudity) rather than xxx cards that are not. i sincerly hope others will understand what i'm talking about and totem to change this format.

Anyway to work in the pole in Table scenes? :o

One of the things I dislike about the standing clips is when they drop down to the table and stay awhile, the action is small. If the clips were broken down into scenes like before, the models could do all the sexy stripping and when they drop down to the table segue into a table clip associated with those clips for a xxx finish to that scene. That clip could be shot with the other table clips. Just something I wanted to throw out there, although with shooting 6 cards, this may not be ideal in terms of production time.

Thanking @Rex for his reply, I'll summarize my feedback (given in many forum posts and some card comments) like so.
I'll say that, basically, for me the new XXX format is ok.
But I hope to see some adjustements, such as:
return of the first little clip introducing the model
some more XXX clips
much more sound, e.g. having it at least in all "table" clips
finally, at least one clip with toy pro card

Aslong I know iStripper XXX older format isn't gone for good and the price are quiet the same as you have said. I have seen some comments aswell peeple like these new format but the other prefer the older format one. And the New Format XXX Cards as new content with a new name tells us aswell wich Record are with full Sound and wich onces with Dance/3 á 5 explicit clips. Maybe this is even better idea than a Poll, why choose one when we can have both? - All members with Happy Endings :P :P

I am a little surprised that the two styles of card cost exactly the same to produce as I would have expected that there was some cost involved with checking that the sound was OK in the delivered clips that have it - but I can well believe that the difference is negligable.

Producing XXX cards like they were before or in the new format is exactly the same cost. Our motivation here is to produce a better content and we're very pleased to see feedback about it. We'll poll users feedback soon to get a better idea, but I already wrote down that model's presentation and find a way to record sound (when no music is played for the model to dance) are the two first important ones.

If this is a silly question, or one that's already been answered, I apologize. I didn't see it anywhere when I went looking for possible similar questions.

I have iStripper installed on both my desktop and my laptop, using the same account, so the same shows are on both, obviously. I've got my desktop set to download at 3K, and my laptop at 1080p.

Before changing the default resolution on my laptop, I was downloading them at 3K as well, and now I'm having to reduce that because my drive is full.

Is there an easier way to redownload the shows that are 3K than simply going through them one by one and redownloading them one at a time?

For example, if I delete the contents of the models folder, could I redownload at the new default resolution since my account has the record of which shows I own?

Or would using the Rebuild Collection button work, and replace my larger shows with the smaller resolution? If it would, would this affect both my computers, or only the one that I click the button on?

Is there another method that I haven't thought of that would save me probably days of redownloading since I have nearly a thousand shows? Anything to simplify the process and make it easier and quicker is much appreciated.

All I was trying to say was that the situation may be more complex than you seemed to assume and that we users do not have access to the data that would allow us to make predictions about the effect of any changes that we may suggest. That should not stop us from making suggestions nor from saying what we think may be the effect, but we should be aware of our lack of knowledge.

I can see you do your best to show my the other side of the picture and that side of the picture is what "I Dont to See and think about" but must be aware of. Still I think quiet the same as couple days ago, but I'm glad members like you let me think about the another vision of the story or facts (well, we dont really know all the facts). But I must admit: I know a Studio is closed, I know that models are quiet expensive to invite but I'm unable to find any sentence that tells they have put in this New XXX Rated format because of problems with Money Profits and if any member can show me this missing sentence, feel free to link me. :D

**Sound in Dance Cards**
The dance show of the models are good as it is now, and by that I agree we dont really need sound by those dance clips but it is welcome by the introduction clips because with some models we dont know how they sounds like their voices :D, they most likely listen to music in the background while recording dance performance. We want to keep the option to select our own music aswell by the Music Selection Tab and we have option to toggle Music On/Off, right? :P, So I think they do pretty good job by these iStripper Dance Cards and this new Glass Category.. hot !! :D they are all invited to do my car !! :D (Oh no, where is my money?? :O :D)

**Totems Monitoring**

Because the change in the XXX format was such a large one, I think that we can be sure that Totem thought long and hard before doing it and are closely monitoring both its effect on sales and our comments. and will, if appropriate, tweak the details.

Of course, still I hoped for they had gave us some kind of survey/poll for this huge movement change in format. As one of the customer I really felt being passed to give my vote/answer. I will stop talking for all members of totems database but only for me, other members have to speak for themselves. The fact is I dont know how many members are agree or disagree with me, it is just unlikely I'm the only one thinking this way.

If the model requires copyright music to give her best performance, then let her do so, without our demands for studio silence.

The toolbar with refresh button, previous page arrow and next page arrow don't exist anymore. I don't know how to refresh current page, because there is no refresh button and F5 key doesn't work. However you can still jump to previous or next page. Just use these keys:

[Backspace] - previous page
[Shift]+[Backspace] - next page

It works in browsers and GUI.

I agree. Since this first came out I've felt that "Single Model" and "Multi-Model" would be better descriptors.

I think the american studio has to be viewed more as a content cycle and not a failure or a sign of trouble. Should be viewed in the same light as the dorcel contract. Totem paid rent on a studio, paid a team. Once the lease on the studio was up they closed it, but in the process they hired a large percentage of the better american dancers available and now have a decent collection of global porn stars to mix into their eastern euro collection. Eventually the American cards will pay off. I wouldn't worry about the viability of the product as well. There are 4000 cards to buy, and the product is mostly hack proof. The worst period for vghd occurred when the product was hacked, and all 2000 cards at that time could easily be downloaded for free. That is no longer the case and won't be as long as they continue to update the software monthly. This product is very cyclical. We are in a period where they are redrafting what xxx means, and reevaluating their talent vs. cost ratio.
