No card was available on Store in 4K resolution prior to Premium membership introduction; moreover it is not - and it has never been - possible to download any 4K card content if you don't have a Premium membership.
I can only talk about cards, though. I don't know anything about VR shows, since I didn't ever buy one.

Quite a number of my purchased sets were of 4K quality.
Then, when Platinum membership was introduced, those 4k sets already in my collection were reduced in quality below 4k.

Anyone who HONESTLY believes it is ALWAYS the fault of the end user "not being responsible" has never SERIOUSLY worked in Information Security. There are PLENTY of unscrupulous methods of conning an end user, and including PRE-CHECKED sign-up boxes are just one of them. It is and has always been one of the easiest ways to get an end user to download or agree to having unwanted browser addons, tracking software, viruses, malware, etc downloaded to their computer. And in marketing cases like this one, a way to extract subscription money from an "unsavvy" end user.

Quit living in a fantasy world. A scam is a scam. Will the company re-imburse the end user's monthly subscription fee 48 hours later when the end user discovered they've been billed when they didn't want to be billed? Fat chance. Or at least not without a fight.

And yet any kind of pre-checked boxes is not a friendly accommodation, but a company's attempt to outwit the customer. And there is absolutely no understanding of me on this, and luckily the courts see it that way too.

I am not ok with any attempt to mislead or take advantage of anyone.

However, I am also not ok with people shifting blame from where it should be placed when the means to not be taken advantage of are in place from the beginning.

If there wasn't a check box at all or if there was no fine print or if it was hidden on another page, and you got signed up for 'extras' then you are being taken advantage of beyond your control. And have every right to be outraged.

But that isn't the case here.

There is a check box and whether checked or not from the start shouldn't make any difference. The fact that the box is there indicates an available choice and puts the responsibility for seeing what it does squarely on your shoulders.

I don't like the idea of the little check box any more than you appear to but I accept the fact that it is there and that if I don't see what it does there may be consequences not to my likeing if I ignore it and proceed with the purchase.

But then personal responsibility, like common sense seems to be waning in favor of government laws which are "protecting us" right out of any kind of free choice we used to have. Soon the government will protect us from ourselves to the point that we won't have any choice left....

I'm surprised this isn't a "locked" thread like the TGIF's are now, anything that has to do with spending money or giving up more credits beyond the normal amount is almost off limits.

It's almost like because of past things that have happened the vocal side of the community aka the forum is always ready to oppose what the company wants to do.

I like SexArt and also have a lifetime membership there. But a pre-checked box for an offer on a payment page is the most awkward way to advertise. It is not for nothing that pre-checked boxes are (rightly) among consumer protections on the hit list.

iStripper and SexArt do not need this kind of imposition, just kindly ask the user to click themselves before paying, never pre-checked boxes!

I ***** to burst your bubble, but I've done professional IT Security for over 40 years now. If you can't find the iStripper products "for free" it's just because you don't know where to look. They may not work with the iStripper GUI interface, but there is nothing stopping anyone from downloading "pirated" versions of VG/iStipper content and playing them using OTHER methods.

And no...I'm not going to tell anyone where to get them or how to do that here. I've never pirated any Totem content...but it most CERTAINLY is availble if someone would want it, knows where to get it, and knows how to play it without having to use the iStripper GUI at all.

I agree with other members, though, that it would be a better and more fair practice from the company if the box was unchecked, as it was (for me at least) some hours ago - while now it is pre-checked.

Maybe this shouldn't be said aloud, but the fact is that if you want to get all the videos of the producers such as MetArt, MetArtX, SexArt... etc. (you can continue this list with dozens of other major studios), there are places in the "Internet" where people upload pirated back catalogue of these sites ALL THE TIME. Even the photosets of iStripper releases seem to be available there within hours of their release, but the point is: the performances of iStripper (the animations, the video files of the cards) ARE NOT THERE.

So, in a sense, it is natural that some websites (unfortunately losing the battle against constant piracy) are selling their memberships relatively cheaply these days while iStripper is still charging more for their product. iStripper has succeeded in the "battle against piratism" excellently and they can still charge realistic and IMHO justified prices for their "products".

But seriously... is really there anyone of us who don't control everything accurately before making any online purchase, specially on a porn site?

LMAO! The exact reason I still have almost 200 iStripper credits since one of my many previous 500 credit purchase made several months ago. I quit buying iStripper cards. It's gonna take an "I just can't live without her!" model to show up now before I spend my LAST 200 credits on my account here. All because Totem insists I now have to GAMBLE an outrageous amount of credits to get ONE of a model's card when I already own ALL of her other ones.

I've been a member here since 2008. Have numerous models I have BOUGHT ALL their cards, but now I can't get ONE of their cards unless I'm willing to gamble an ungodly amount of money to get it. Plus, here if I want a model in 4K resolution, I have to become a "higher tier" member by paying an additional "fee" each year to download 4K content for the models now.

While if I go join SexArt (or just about ANY OTHER high quality "porn site") for ONE MONTH and give them $29.95, I can download their ENTIRE website content at ALL (and ANY) resolutions for ALL the product(s)...INCLUDING the 4K content.

Hmmm. Spend $50 here to only be able to download SOME of a model's content (after being a "Loyal Customer" for 11 years), or $29.95 at another "porn" site to be able to download ALL of a model's content without being treated like I'm a financial moron.

Totem, please quit trying to screw me around. You are seriously 200 credits and ONE MODEL away from losing an 11-year customer. I come here for the MODEL products...not to get financially ripped off "playing gambling games" to get it. You can let the people who want to play the gambling games continue to do it if they want. But give the rest of us a REASONABLE option at PURCHASING ALL the model's content she may have.

@Ullubu - what is obvious is that each country potentially gets different payment screens depending upon who operates in that country to provide the payment service and what methods are legal / available.

My issue - having been caught out before by some of these "$1.95 for three days access followed by recurring monthly charge" is how quickly you have to contact the payment provider to cancel the subscription. With this being a one-day offer, you virtually have to cancel it as soon as you've accepted it otherwise you will pay at least one month's recurring $29.95.

I'm from Germany and I use SEPA-Lastschrift. There are no tick-boxes at all. So no problem for me.

@Wyldanimal - I'm afraid I have to contradict you here. The screen prints you show have a different version of the payment screen compared to that seen in my version (screenprint attached) and I am on the latest version of software. To see the difference in versions, mine is for epoch and there is a payment option for Paysafe which is missing in yours

As you can see, on my version the box is pre-ticked and there is no second confirmation option. So if you didn't spot it, you would be tied to a recurring subscription to SexArt.

Interestingly, this pre-ticked option only appears on the epoch credit card option - it does not appear on the epoch PayPal option or any of the other billing companies.

I agree with @TheEmu - this is sharp practice and I do believe is contrary to EU regulations.

I always wish these sort of games picked (or at least some) from my wishlist for the cards you could get discounts on, as it is I basically wouldn't buy any of the cards on the board so seems a bit pointless playing.

However, I knew the risks when I rolled the dice, so no complaints. Fortunately, Tanya's first card is one I like. She reminds me of Liya Silver, but more smiley and less sultry.
