IIRC It depends on the window width, which can be affected by the physical window size or by using "skins" with a large picture size.

The default display is the text. If the window isn't big enough to display the text, the icons' are used.

I've noticed this before in other versions and just keep forgetting to ask or report it. But why is there a mix of icons/words on various cards pages for pics/clip list/comments buttons etc. Please see screenshot.

i also used my cell phone when i'm not at home for checking/buying new girls, downloading photosets/videos. it would be great when those features came back for iStripper site.

I mostly use my iPhone during the day when I'm at work or out and about and then use my desktop when I'm kicking back at the house in the evening

@gdavis in advanced settings, you can uncheck "Use console in store" if you want to see the girl's page rather than the console when checking a girl.

@Richie94 We didn't want users to have to switch back and forth between the software and the website as it ws in VirtuaGirl. We didn't realize some of the usages were done from tablets or phones. We're working on bringing more functions back on the website, such as adding a card to your collection, remotely downloading a card to your computer, checking pictures and bonus videos.

I have 1600 cards but have bought less 20 cards in the last 4 months. I feel no sense of urgency as I can buy them anytime and quite frankly I think the demos are great fun ... interesting idea on having to pay for demos. I rarely look at reviews and mike my buying decision exclusively on the demo but I did think you have a great idea there as well.

Crash you might wanna go ahead and take a vacation because this is already two months worth. lol

The Girls store now works the same as My Collection.

In the store you can still filter the previews if you wish (first screenshot) but if you click on a card (I selected Emy Russo) you get the window open the same as in "My Collection" (second screenshot). You can download the preview, see the "other" cards, view the videos etc.

I liked having the previews in my collection because when I click on a card there, I get the full card info screen which shows me their other cards. From the store I just get that stupid little pull out which doesn't show their other cards, unless this was changed too at some point? I don't see the problem with having them in my collection, if I don't want to see them there, just uncheck it in the filter.

Thanks for removing the ***** download. That stopped me from getting the last update. Now the above issue is stopping me from getting this one.

What does "The previews that are not downloaded should be different in the store" mean?

So who picks the release order for cards? Only it's starting to look like attack of the clones on the new releases carousel, and we can see you got more to offer than just athletic brunettes dressed in black.

I'm using my own Software that I wrote called VirtuaStage to create invisible stages for the models to stand on.
here you can see the Stages, and the Hotspots positioned on them, and then how it looks when only the models are performing.

this Picture shows the models in action. Notice the models might move from the hot spot, but the spot stays in place.
The next clip will start where the hot spot is.
***** a clip and dropping it at a new location will cause the Hot spot to Move to that new location.

Clips in Small mode are positioned over a Hot Spot. This spot is remembered, and it becomes the starting Spot for the Next Small clip in that position.
The Hot Spot Could Be Linked to the Top of an Open Window, it it will move around with that window.
When you Quit iStripper, and then Re-start it, These Saved Hot Spots are Reloaded, and re-used.

They are Generated using a formula that Calculates the Available Width, and places it in the Middle of the Width.
This then Divides the Space in half, and the Next Spot is calculated based on the Now Half Width..
Until there isn't enough Space for a new clip.

If you Want to Have New Spots, then Delete the file called entrances.dat in the Data folder.

If a remembered hot spot was attached to a window that no Longer is open, it is forgotten and a new one takes it's place.

Might Walk around, but returns to Hot Spot.
it04 - Fall to a Standing position
it05 - the Hanging clip - as when you ***** an interactive clip

it11 - Part of Magic
it12 - Sit to Stand Transition
it13 - Fall to Sitting position

The Magic Spin is to Get Dressed or to get naked.

there are .demo ( clothed ) and .vghd naked versions of each itNN type.
Sometimes there are more than One of the it01, it06 and it07 types.
these would be other variations. One Might just stand around, one might Tap her wrist like she's waiting...

the attached picture shows a sample of 6 active hot spots on my screen.

All your definitions listed for the bits are correct except for bits 3, 11 and 12. I also know some better definitions that qualify the conditions better. For example, my definition for bit 15 is "Nude at start: Girl is 'fully nude' at start of clip (excluding all clips not linkable or magic at start)".

Bit 3 actually means "Full video shows below the taskbar (legs are not cut off)". Since all clips that are produced now show the entire view of a girls legs, this bit is always on (set). But the older cards cut off a girls legs on all "over the taskbar" clips. Therefore, Totem automatically sets bit 3 whenever bit 0 is set (over the taskbar clips).

Bit 11 means "Not a dry start" and bit 12 means "Not a dead end". They had to do the negative of these because all older cards were dry start and dead end which had the bits set to zero by default. IMO, a better definition for bit 11 and 12 would have been to say they are "linkable to the start of another interactive clip" and "linkable to the end of another interactive clip" respectively.

A while back I wrote an Excel file that decodes the Clip number ( you type it in the box) it displays the bits..
or on the bottom half you click the bits on and off, it generates the code.

I just figured out the inversion of bits 11 and 12. They are inverted in the clip's file name, not the models.lst. This was done so that all legacy clips would be recognized as dry start & dead end.

Now, if I can only figure out what bit 3 means.

Thanks for the response Rex. Removing the 20% discount on new release was a big decision. It really saved my pocket book and I imagine it is the main reason sales have lagged. Humans want discounts, and they are more likely to buy if they feel they are getting something for free. I can tell you, if I had any doubt, I would then buy thecard for the 20% discount, rather than wait and decide later for full price. That is why I have 1400 cards. Now , if there is any doubt I do not buy, which is why it took me 4 months to buy 33 cards since the price change.

Here is what will work I believe.

1. Bring back 20% discount on release and let it last for 3 days. This ***** users to visit program regularly. At this time There is no reward for me to visit the site.
2. Only provide free demos for the cards that are on the 16% discount and cards that are a week old or newer.
3. Make all demos available for 10% of the card price. So for me a non-gratis demo would cost 1.5 credits instead of 15. And it becomes permanant in the account. Many people like the fully clothed dancing, they can have any card permantely but must pay a tithe.
4. Release girls on as many days of the week as possible or rotate your 16% discounts more often. This will drive people to check the program daily. The only way to use credits is to use the program.
5. READ THIS PLEASE! I did not buy so many cards because of demos but because of objective reviews. There used to be a number of sites that reviewed the girls and they could be trusted because the reviews appeared honest. Open up a section on the new forum called reviews. Allow high level members to edit and review. And for each review offer a chance for free credits. Like a weekly drawing. You must moderate that the reviews are respectful but also objective. The current review system is uninspired and seems dishonest.


P.S: I have always said that this program is one of the most unique and polished programs that I have ever experienced. It is truly a revolutionary product, I just hope the company stays healthy and keeps its creativity and high standards.

I thought I understood how to decode the models.lst file. I just discovered I made a mistake. Here is what I know. The type of a clip is encoded in the number after the final underscore "_" and before the dot. It seems to follow a simple rule. The last 2 digits are a sequence number to distinguish between cards that would otherwise have the same number. The third digit from the right is the hotness. The remaining digits are a decimal representation of a binary number where each binary digit is a yes/no description. From low to high these are:

bit 0 = on bar
bit 1 = behind bar
bit 2 = pole
bit 3 = used but meaning unknown
bit 4 = sign (rarely seen)
bit 5 = accessories
bit 6 = from side (or in-out)
bit 7 = always 0
bit 8 = always 0
bit 9 = cage
bit 10 = on top
bit 11 = dry start (transition control)
bit 12 = dead end (transition control)
bit 13 = magic start (transition control)
bit 14 = magic end (transition control)
bit 15 = nude start (transition control?)

Now I thought the same information was in the models.lst file. There is a block of binary data in the file for each clip. The block begins with the card's file name and continues with 28 additional bytes. These are arranged in groups of 4 and in all but one case each group is a long unsigned integer. The fourth group of 4 seems to be a set of bit flags. I thought the low order 16 flags matched the encoding in the file name. I was close, but not always. The low 7 bits (0-6) match. Bit 7 usually correlates with whether the card is a demo. Bit 8 correlates with whether the card has "SC" in its name. Bits 9 & 10 correlate as do 13-15. The headache came with bits 11 and 12. It seems they are true when they should be false and vice versa.

Can anyone confirm my guesses?

While I won't say that if there were more cards available all at once that I would not buy them. I do think that the staggered release schedule is fine.
I have been buying more cards as of late and I think it is largely due to the software changes like multiple carousels for different catagories and the ablity to interact with the forum built in to the software. The addditional feedback from comments and card related forum posts and exposure had me re-evaluating shows i had previously passed over and now with the ability to check out the odd preview now and then I have really gained new appreciation for models that I had previosly judge only by card pics on their vg pages. The quality on the newer cards has been great for me as well and I am loving quite a few of the newer models
(Valentina & Malena I'm looking at you). So to sum up: the changes to iStripper have improved both my experience aaand my purchasing habits.
...just my 2¢.

I know you guys are trying to find your footing with all the changes, I just know that my personal habits the credit spending is down partly two potential card purchases a week are gone. As far as the daily releases, for the die hard fans, I think we come to the site every day anyway :p Having a new card up everyday does sound exciting though, and may be able to be showcased for sales a little more somehow.

Cards are released twice a week because this is how the post production team works. Now if we would choose how to release them, I'm not sure if releasing one each week day would be better than all of them right before the week end. If you have opinions on this, I'm interested to hear.

The company is not in trouble, but recent changes, such as removing the 20% discount on new release while lowering the price of all cards, letting all users choose and download unlimited previews had a negative impact on our sales. Obviously we won't go back on the free demos download nor will we raise the prices, but we're running some test, such as automated download of some previews, removing the previews from My Collection, adding limitations to their number or duration, releasing more or fewer cards a week etc, seeking for the right tuning of iStripper.
