I've been keeping track of the size of shows and have wanted to compare data with others and would like input on faults on specific shows/files and compile info in one thread to be used by myself and others as a reference point for present and future use, would be excellent also if past info could be loaded on this thread, also the fixes that have been accomplished to date.

the rest of the cards seem to be only a couple of MB/s within what is printed on their "overview" pages,

what I'm looking for are faults and comparisons for present and future referencing, all imput would be appreciated!

Btw: Have implemented the sizes for each card on my data/models move/copy tab within my VGHD-Toolbox project;)

Edit: deekayd, just for information, the sizes are only MB (MegaByte), not MB/s (that means MB per second; thats a transfer speed...;)

I know I was just having s bitch about the speeds I was achieving!

ps. sorry about that, was not trying to steal your idea, should have thought to put the input to your thread, so much traffic on the forum at the moment, not thinking right! my idea was to have comparisons of what is stated, and what is achieved, some of my results were achieved after 6-7 attempts to delete and to re download, some that are not obvious on this chart took several attempts as well.
Like I said, did not mean to steal away from you and am 100% behind your efforts,

No no no, deek, you haven't stolen anything:) My post above was only a hint that it's easier to look on the own models folder within my toolbox project (when finished) and then verifying with YOUR posted list, no reason for an apology needed:D

Would really appreciate it if other members would check these card sizes on their discs and confirm or update the sizes they have, am trying to find out whether I have complete downloads or not, quite a few other cards are within the 3 to 4 mbs tolerance that was advised to me by Plasonic a while back.

I have other info on other cards if required by anyone.

Much appreciated Harshie, so you have those discrepancies also and also have the correct downloads as to what was stated on the card pages, have to go out right at the moment, but will surely check again, many of the cards were deleted and reloaded quite a few times and still came up with the same results, will recheck. ty

I have Kayla 595 Kayla Sunny Sunday downloaded, on the card info it says it's 26 clips and 481Mb.

My download is 26 clips and 493Mb

Are you sure you have the full download of the "full show" AND the "free trailer"?

I always find the card info is completely different to reality, my show downloads are always bigger than stated

@BAfsb: The numbers given for the full show don't include the trailers. If you include them it normal that your sizes are off.

Starryk, yes I thought that might be the case which is why I specifically mentioned that mine include the free trailers. I always download the whole show including both the free trailer and the full show as I suspect most people do.

@BAfsb: don't know about most people but i only download the show and if i buy a card i had as trailer i delete the trailer again before dl the show. Want to save at least a bit space on my HD.

I should add that as far as I know all of my cards are error free, I always monitor every download individually and if there's any doubt I will repeat the download until I get the same number of Mb.

Obviously a lot of the time if a show has an error it will show up as such in the download monitor screen, but occasionally when you are looking at the progress bar the red line will unaccountably shoot up in a short space of time, if that happens I always do it again regardless of whether "error" has shown up.

PS If anybody wants a comparison figure ask me here, I'm reluctant to list the whole lot as I neither have the time nor the inclination but I'm happy to do some if anyone wants a comparison figure.

There is a noticeable discrepancy on Card 481 which you have as Kayla

I think you'll find 481 is actually Aria Giovanni "Vampire *****". That probably accounts for the large discrepancy.

Kayla has two cards:
593 Strong Coffee supposedly 456Mb, my download is 465Mb
595 Sunny Sunday supposedly 481Mb, my download is 493Mb

It is a very good point brought up about the trailers being added to the card stated download sizes, except, it would not account for the vast majority of the cards either being very close to spot on, given a tolerance of up to 5mbs, usually on the minus side. The ones that I listed are considerably out in mbs, and as I mentioned, many deletions and re-download attempts have been made, only to come up with exactly the same results, and to read the results still doesn't add up, I have never downloaded trailers and yet the end result of stated matches with what was downloaded on the vast majority. Thank you to everybody for your help, must now try and work out why and where the discrepancies are occurring and a bigger question to me is wether it is worth the bother, what am I missing out on.
