Apologies if I am hijacking the thread, but just a question. I am not updated to the latest version just released. I have no intention on becoming a Premium member at this time, 3K is great for me. Everything currently is working fine on my end. Is it necessary to update to the latest version? I am on a Mac desktop Current version 1.2.235

The later versions of the software are just always crashing on me.

Chicsans’ view that the current release is buggy is not share by many in so far as I am aware and she has a personal view that she should have no need to upgrade her version of the software to accommodate changes in back end processing that Totem may decode to make.
So I would suggest that in this regard, that you take her opinions with “a grain of salt”.

@cxsn - Cards released on or after Oct 25 2019 do not seem to download onto older versions. The download ***** instantly and hovering the mouse over the red download ***** notice shows a message that reads 'Server error (0)' Probably a measure to enforce the usage of the latest versions only. I can still download and play cards, including 'crystal clear + prior to that date.

It also seems to me that if your older version is still registered as one of your installs then you should be able to download with the later, buggy version and then copy the downloaded files onto your older machine.

Thanks for the answers. I had not been having problems with this, but recently had a problem with a card not downloading and wondered if this was part of the issue. I was ***** because it's not a higher number card than others I have but was released later. I guess I'll end up trying another recently released card and see what happens. The later versions of the software are just always crashing on me.

Any card that is not in your personal collection is considered by the software and the servers to be 'New' to you.

The only cards that are really New are the ones that are on the 'Releases' carousel.

Nah..I tried the red/green glasses thing years ago when they first appeared. Still got them in a cupboard somewhere.

The trouble, for me, is that I get bored with porn movies in a matter of seconds. I always have something else going on, even when iStripper is running....games, newspapers, forums. So 3D porn is not an incentive to get into the tech. Natural history, on the other hand, does distract me, but I haven't found a sufficiently extensive library of the stuff in 3D to warrant the investment in a headset. I keep looking. Games, too, but the ones I play are almost as good in 2D.

I might try a 3D convertor, but I really want proper 180 VR. One day. Thanks for your advice.

@pantalone - you can test them using nothing more than a cheap pair of red-green or red-blue glasses at a cost of only a few cents. (or you can make yourself a pair from a couple of suitably coloured sweet wrappers and a bit of cardboard. You would probably want something better for seriously watching any converted video, but red-green or red-blue galsses are quite adequate to test the programs.

No AI is needed - just simple fixed function algorithms.

I did as you said and you're right. There are dozens of 3D convertors. I, of course, have no way of testing whether or not they're any good, because I refuse to invest in a VR Hat until there's some content that meets my stringent criteria. Angelika Greys pole-dancing naked would do it.

Totem already offers videos for most of the performers in the op's list and they have certainly made videos for other porn sites. So getting to 3D is already possible - you just have to find which convertor you like most.

But I still like the idea of an AI clonking through old card clips, reproducing every curve and nuance, every eyelid flutter and every come-hither smile in glorious hi-res 3D. Maybe one day...

If you google "3D video converter" you will find plenty of programmes that can create 3D videos from 2D ones. I have tried a couple of the free ones on porn films and they worked quite well despite any background that was present. I have not continued to use them because I am not very interrested in actually watching 3D movies or in VR, though I was interrested in the concepts behind it.

The vid that you posted highlighted some issues that are important if you've got a background, but your shader examples are from clips without a background. I think that a standard depthmap routine won't hack it - it would return just two shades, girl and no-girl. The depthmaps in the vid are treating the figures as flat planes and the background gives the 3D effect.

My point about the AI was that you might be able to teach it to map a simple wireframe onto the each frame of model, then move the pov on the wireframe and fit the pic of the model back on. You'd need a routine to fill in the gaps, but that shouldn't be too hard. Then you'd have a frame with two images of the model from slightly different povs.

It's not a GPU job, clearly, and you'd need to work with the raw mp4 files. But Totem currently have an almost worthless back catalogue of medium res vids and such a process would give it new life, commercially speaking. Just musing....

Yeh, there are several methods already but most are for creating a 3d model or capturing motion for transfer to another model. There's no reason why it couldn't be done. eg:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZZ9rpmVCqE is creating a depthmap from a 2d image, and creating missing information, like the sides of the girl.

I did think of a way a while back by combining it with my recolouring shader as it seperates the clothes from the body so you can do things like making just the skin green. hmm.... just thought of another way that might work...

To do a propper job of it I guess that unless you have a insane gpu you couldn't do it realtime though so totem would have to do it themselves, not sure there is much in it for them or at least not enough to make it worth the time and equipment, like using ai to upscale the older videos.

I'd forgotten about the shader thing! I do follow the Fullscreen thread, but only vaguely because I don't understand most of it. I tried the boss-eyed thing when you posted the images a while back, but couldn't make it work. Maybe it's my brain or maybe it's just my varifocals.

As, you say, it a shader seems to produce pretty good pseudo-3D for skintones, but the clothing gets in the way. Which it often does when I look at pictures of young women. My first reaction to the OP was "no way", but then the AI thing occurred to me. It actually shouldn't be that hard to develop a working rule-base, given all the work that's gone into image recognition for self-driving vehicles. And accuracy isn't needed for digital films, as the viewer's brain will do a lot of the work. iStripper clips would be an ideal place to start to train an AI to convert legacy digital stock, because they are background-less and the subjects, as my wife points out, are pretty much all the same.

Usually, by the time things like that occur to me, somebody's already done it. So maybe we can look forward to all our favorite old movies coming soon to our VR headsets in glorious pseudo-3D! At last, a possible ***** app for VR...

not if you Quit iStripper with it below 61%, you will have to Quit iStripper and do the Tweak again.

as long as you have it at 61% or above when you Quit iStripper it will stay enabled.

@pantalone, go look in the fullscreen scenes thread, i created several psudo 3d shaders to be viewed on 3dtv's and vr headsets (or you can playback on a normal tv and cross your eyes). I get the depth information from the brightness (front of the body is more brightly lit than the sides) from that i offset the pixels according to their brightness(the brighter they are the more they are shifted), shift left for one eye and shift right for the other. Clothing does mess with the effect though.

Not sure that's what the op was asking for though. More a newly filmed new show from those girls.

As far as I know the ability to go 61% on small clips is -The- most requested feature.
Since I am here with you for about 3 years I came to terms with the fact that probably we will never get it.
I still think we should get the option with some warning *models might go offscreen and let us choose if we want to take the risk.

I've remixed FG072 zip to include the trio of standing clipsprites requested by @zzmaskers.

Trying to get the ripple shader moded reflection to maintain pos alignments using a variety
of earlier clips was a tad like a 'whack-a-mole' . With the ripple shader, reflections would
align differently for different clips according to the age of the cards played or the type
of clip standing or pole. This was with all camera node animation having been stroked off as
well mind you ...sad :(

In the end I resigned to leave the ripple shader on only for the single model .scn with
reflection placement consistency only achievable with just 3K pole clips.;-/

My guess has unfortunately confirmed.

I used to test the show f0539 (release date: Nov 1).
Until midnight on Nov. 10, the premium discount was available.

On Nov 11 after midnight the premium discount was still visible. After syncronisation, the discount was no longer displayed.

The time is in CET (Central European Time). The same time zone as Paris (France).

Seems that the other payment methodes like direct debit are back via WebBillings. I hope this stays that way. 👍

Thanks, It was not really a good scene for illustrating model reflections because I'm trying to keep the standing model to be as large as possible. I will add the bounding box string together with your Library shaders in some future ( less close-up ) work.

The main other issue I was having is the old one of non-orthagonal (?) alignment of reflections as the model moves away from the center of the screen. Just like shadows, the reflection origin moves away (Y axis-wise). I noticed this also happening to a lesser extent as she moves behind, then in front of a pole.

You did some great work (below link) to help @Nasashie align shadows early in 2018 about this, using
Library shader code. I need to check that out again as well.

Yes bravo, you have grasped exactly the essential basis for the FractalGarden series Project.

It is to use color & repeating motifs moving with music in a predictable rhythm, just as in nature.
The purpose is not for these scenes to compete for attention with the model. The purpose is to relax one's mind to her movements via familiar patterns & music & hence focus your attention back to her own progressive dance, just as you would in a dream.

Indeed ~ for me fractals always remain a tad tantric..so here they act as a kind of meditation tool for the senses to allow focus on the intimate enjoyment of each model's work. Good for noticing 👍

I think that VR consists of a double image, one for each eye. They didn't film the past models with that sort of camera. Software exists to run 2D film into a VR headset, but it's still essentially 2D. Software does exist to simulate 3D by shuffling the frames to produce a double image that looks 3D, but it relies on shunting background objects around and the iStripper cards don't have background.

Maybe somebody can train an AI to work with the naked female body to produce 3D. Now there's a project!

I have not downloaded your latest scene yet due to network capacity limits (I will probably get it tomorrow or the day after via a different network)

However, I suspect that when you say that the ripple shader leaves artifacts occasionally this is due to a few odd pixels being left over from one frame to the next and that this in turn is due to the varying size of the bounding box for the clip changing from frame to frame (you can see this if you use blend: false on the clip sprite, the bounding box will show up as a continuously varying sized black background to the clip).

You can eliminate this by telling the program to use a bigger bounding box by adding something like border: 100 to the clip node.

This increases the bounding box by 100 in each direction. Choose a value that is big enough to eliminate the artefact but not too big because it increases the work that has to be done by the shader because it increases the number of pixels it has to act on. You need a border that is large enough to contain the largest ripple.
