The slot machine is totally laggy, when I open the page with it, the gui works like slow motion and my cpu usage goes up from 8-10% for the app up to 20%, when nothing else is running.
And then I haven't pushed the spin button. When I do this the cpu goes up even more and the game is like 5fps, no fluid animation at all, like older slot games (they worked well).

To be fair @JohnBGood I wouldn't have expected a response from CS over the weekend anyway. They are only a small team and don't really have the resources for people to be available 24/7.

For me problems with iStripper aren't really a life and death matter however that does not make me any less annoyed regarding the debacle over the slot machine.

Hopefully some learning will come from this experience for Totem - don't launch a buggy program on a day when you have no CS support and probably limited access to the developers.

In all my time in IT we would not have launched in that way. It would have been better to launch on the Monday when support was available. Also - leaving a little gap between the ending of the sale and starting another big promotion might have been advisable.

But @JohnBGood at least you can take solacein your 2 Jokers - big congratulations and mucho envy 😉

I think you only got screwed over if you won... sorry ...if you thought you'd won. Apparently lots of loud noises and flashing lights saying I'd won was just a misunderstanding on my part.

I love the setting to change the transparency; It also works as a brightness reducer. This setting is useful in really bright cards as it reduces the strain on the eye.

It would be great if software also adds settings to change contrast, brigtness, saturation etc in the future. Since some old monitors display colors differently; sometimes, annoyingly saturated.

I would not be surprised if in your system Background_2D is also the first with any 2D camera scenes.

yes that is/was true, first in alphabetical order..

Inspite of earlier difficulties ( 4 posts above ) due to a naming problem in folder scenes/Background_2D
My new starter scene now seems to be working fine since I changed the name in Totems generic folder
of the Background 2D.scn to somethang like Background 2D.scnz ( a non fullscreen useable file name )
So far now I can go in and out of fullscreen and get reliable starting with my new scene 99% of the time.
Earlier:
~ I searched the entire /scenes folder and could not find any other instances of Background 2D.scn
~ I have restarted iStripper many times now without Background 2D.scn being re-inserted back into scenes/Background_2D by Totem's server yet. I don't know what happens if that occurs... it could screw it.
~ I renamed a scene file that I like to 'Background 2D.scn'

In summary:
replacing the starting scene with your own choice should work, provided..
1. you eliminate Background 2D.scn or any other .scn from scenes/Background_2D folder
2. Always choose a desktop clip that matches your starter scene permissions (eg: 'standing/pole')
3. Launch fullscreen from the Contextual Menu Wheel
4. Note: model context doesn't work with some early clips

MMM i think that a different way to vote is good for totem team, too...because so they are more conseils about new future shows..
I hope that some member of Totem Team can think about it, and can propose some alternative solution at actual vote system, too generic and often false.

That may be the last piece of information I needed to begin to understand what might be going on.

I see a similar behaviour. If I start from a standing clip then I usually get one of Alarsi's basic scenes, less ofen one of Number 6's or the Background 2D scene (and very rarely somewhere else), But if I start from a table clip then I almost always end up with one of No 6's scenes. Alarsi's scenes do not allow table clips. No 6's do.

I don't think that the software is specifically biased towards the Background 2D clips but that it is, in effect, presented with a list that is ordered in some way and is biased towards the start of this list. It is noticable that in my scene collectetion the Alarsi folder is the first (as listed by Windows explorer) that has any 2D camera scenes and I would not be surprised if in your system Background_2D is also the first with any 2D camera scenes.

It looks like it all may be down to a badly configured random number generator - possibly as simple a matter as not using a sufficiently random seed.

from there into 'Now playing' before right clicking on active model to the Contextual Menu Wheel .
That way I can be sure of choosing the correct standing or pole status clip which suits my opening scene.

This list is an example of why I like Istripper. A major reason I like Istripper is the variety of shapes, sizes, and styles of dancers Istripper showcases. This is great for me because what I find attrractive is usually different from most peoples ideal. As a guy who admires and likes natural looking women this is the sight to be on. I'm sure people have purchased a card because of a fetish or won it in a contest and was sure they would never puchase a card from this model again; but went out and bought all or most of them. This has happened to me.. The other thing that has happened to me is: I purchased a card of a model and was not enchanted with the model or the card. Then a year or two later the card is showcased and I go back and purcahse the rest of the models cards. What's cool is Istripper provides a way to explore these changes in tastes. Anyway keep up the good work.

The models I've purchased from this list are: Melena Maria, G. Bellulgi, Belka, Eille Lean. I haven't watched the card from Eille Lean yet; bought it yesterday. Belka is a new favorite of mine.

Delighted to see a wider variety of costumes. This is the reason I purchased a cards from Gia Ren, Jessika, and Avery. I will defintaly puchase more cards of Jessika and Gia Ren. I want to point, I became interested in Gia Ren because of the Miss Red Hood card and I became interested in Jessika because of her cop costume.

Yes, I made a typo - but other than the "official" Totem supplied version, which is there with its original name, I have no scenes with names anything like it. During a series of 20 or 30 tests the "official" version was chosen only once, as was one other of Totem's scenes, all the other times the first scene chosen was one from either the directory I use for Alarsi's scenes or from the directory I use for Number 6's scenes. I have no idea why these two would be chosen so often.

I am delighted with now using this as a selected first scene launcher. It works like a charm for me when opening fullscreen from the Contextual Menu Wheel, as shown above.

All I had to do was find the generic scene supplied by Totem
in my scenes/ folder it is in folder /Background_2D, then I
renamed the Background 2D.scn there to
iS_Background 2D.scn

Then I renamed a copy of my favorite scene
ET - FractalGarden066D - Copy (1).scn
to the new name Background 2D.scn

Works like a charm for me as an opener now, even though it is a 3D camera noded scene.

@TheEmu, I don't know if you made a typo..I understand the scene to look for is Background 2D.scn, not Background2D.scn

I also have done a little more testing. I get rather different results to @Wyldanimal

In my case the first scene played when using the Fullscreen via using the context menu obtained by right clicking on an active desktop clip almost always comes from one of two sub-folders of the scenes directory (the ones I use for Alarsi's scenes and Number 6's scenes). Neither of these folders contain a scene called Background2D. Occasionally, less that 10% of the time, one of Totem's original scenes will be used instead (it has not always been Background2D). All of the scenes played this way have used a 2D camera. It is possible that with a longer test I would see other scenes cropping up.

If I start playing a scene using the systray menu item then the first scene seems to be randomly selected from my entire collection of scenes though I can not be sure that it is just selecting from a different sub-set. I have seen scenes played this way that use both 2D and 3D cameras.

I have restarted iStripper - remaining option is full re-boot of PC.

Did you actually quit the program or did you just close the app's window. The X icon at the top left of the iStripper window does not result in the program quitting, it only closes the window. To quit you should use the Quit option on the systray icon.

This problem has always existed, and quit and restart has always fixed it for me. It seems to be due to something like a network glitch or timeout causing a server synch to fail (server synch are done at regular intervals by the program itself as well as on starting the app and when explicitly requested via the setting page - and all three seem to do slightly different things because, as in this case, a manual synch sometimes won't fix things..

In any case:

It's been doing this to me since I joined....nine years ago.

The quick solution is to stop the Deskware/iStripper app in Task Manager and then restart it in the normal way.

I kinda like these little clunky aspects to iStripper. It's like the weird English of the model descriptions - a little band of Frenchmen trying to make something nice for their customers. Not at all like the polished money-making machines that run Facebook or whatever. Unlike many of those apps, you feel you can trust them with your data. It's the imperfections that make it what it is. Software as a cottage industry.

Any news on when more VR shows will show up? Seems it been awhile since we had any new VR shows and was wondering how often them come out? Is VR shows something that you are still working on? Check daily and nothing new for awhile... just wondering whats going on?

I've done a bit more testing.
I made multiple scene using the name Background 2D
4 of them, in different scene folders.

So what Happens when there is more then one scene with the name Background 2D

Well, One of them is Always the 1st Scene to be used, but which one seems to be a random selection.

If more than one Scene exists with the name Background 2D,
one of them at Random will be used as the 1st scene.

This is opening up the Contextual Menu Wheel, and selecting Launch FullScreen using this Model
or Right Clicking on the Systray Icon and Selecting Launch Full Screen

What's the Difference?
The Systray Icon, Does not use the currently play card for the Scene
But using the Contextual Menu will Use the card, so long as it has a clip that works in the Scene.

On gambling games I like to spend around hundred credits (if I win good, if I don't that's fine) but the slot machine (not just this one) always seems to be very laggy I don't know what causes this but makes the interaction unbearable. I would appreciate it if you guys can optimize these slot machines.

I hope they determine why fullscreen is preferencing the playing of 2D scenes first.

If I had to Venture a Guess.
The Software is encoded to use it as the First Scene, because it is the First Official Scene that is Part of the installation.
Only if it is Disabled or doesn't exist, will a different Scene be selected as the 1st scene used.

I believe, if you want to use it as a scene selected at random from your other scenes
you should make a copy and give it a different name.
then Disable the Official one.
Don't delete it, as it will be re downloaded and installed again.

I've completed a round of testing.
I used several of my Own Scenes in various Folder names.
If I rename one of my Scenes to Background 2D

then that scene is selected as the 1st Scene used.

when there does not exist any scene named Background 2D
then a different Scene is used as the starting scene

So that pretty much validates my suspicion.

Just Disable to Official Background 2D scene
and if you still want to use it.
Make a Duplicate copy of it, and give it a different name.
The Copy can be in the same folder as the Original one, just give it a different name.

I have observed the same issue a few times. It could be resolved with either synchronisation with server, or quit and re-start the app.
