Firstly, personally I am very satisfied with Totem's product, since I would no longer buy their product.

It is not a recognition issue that we are dealing with here.

The problem here is called "Customer Frustration". "Unnecessary provocation by putting certain tempting cards on display, with the aim of getting people to participate in games of chance to obtain them, without certainty of obtaining them, and this, at the risk of having to spend big and end up with products they did not want ".

All the better if you are satisfied.

So much the better if you want to play games of chance. If this is your desire, I have nothing against it.

But someone at Totem is going to have to realize, that there are people who refuse to participate in these games of chance, for various reasons, and that these people are ready to pay more if it is. necessary to obtain these cards.

We are not asking for handouts. Just a possibility to have them and have the full collection of the girls we love and appreciate, without continually getting them in the face to stoke our frustration.

We don't need morals. We are adults and very capable of understanding that Totem is in business and needs to make money to survive and keep paying its costs.

Nous n'avons pas besoin de morale. Nous sommes des adultes et très capable de comprendre que Totem est en affaires et a besoin de faire de l'argent pour survivre et continuer à payer ses frais.

As someone with a complete collection who only plays the scratch games to try to get the SEC cards, I've found that in the past, I would generally break even with credits, thanks to the way they handled the wins for people that had no normal cards to get.

That has been my experience in the past. A few times I was up a few credits, a few times down a few. Once I was up by a lot of credits and once I was down by something approaching 200 credits. Overall I think, but am not sure, that I may be slightly up but in any case not far from breaking even - this over and above having won the SECs.

After purchasing and tracking the results of over 100 cards in this current event (something I've done for the last several scratch-off game events), I can say that the odds for credit wins are significantly lower this time. I'm consistently losing over half of the credits that I spend.

I did not come to this conclusion. In the end I got this SEC after buying 120 scratch cards, and had 10 credits more than I started with. For me there does not seem to have been much of a change. I know others have lost out significantly, but you would expect that even if the odds were perfectly balanced. I was buying in batches of 10 and though on a little more than half the time I won nothing on 5 or more cards out of each batch the occasional win of 50 or 100 credits pretty well balanced that out in the longer term.

Because of the relatively large prizes of 50 and 100 credits compared to the 1 credit cost of a scratch card, with corresponding low odds of winning them, you need to try far more than 100 cards before you can make a reasonable estimate of the long term odds for these games.

I think that you misunderstood what I was referring to by "this" in "I use this". I was referring to my use of a single image file, with a single texture node in the .scn file, for both foreground and background. This not only reduces the number of image files it also reduced the GPU resources required for the scene because they use the same texture buffer - though this will rarely be a problem I have seen reports of problems with complicated scenes due to running out of texture memory.

In my personal Opinion you never should make any Proposals or Promises,
except to your self. So in that case you can't disappoint any one else/the others.

But, Totem is a Company which has to earn Money to provide us with the Girls on iStripper.
This is what we are here for, to enjoy these Proposals and Promises from Totem.
And believe it or not (i got Yesterday my 2nd Year Achievement by the way)
i'm not disappointed in any kind of way, with iStripper.
And Yes to provide us with very nice Shows, that is for sure a Proposal and Promise,
which Totem made to us since Years.

And more important, we as a User/Customer of iStripper are not be able to Look behind the Curtain in any Way.
So we can't see which decisions are made yesterday, and which decisions are made today or tomorrow.

Because behind that Curtain you will meet Humans just like you and me.
No Robots, No AI, just friendly and smart Humans :)
And Humans can make mistakes, but as a Company it is not Totems obligation,
to keep us informed about every smaller or bigger Situation, behind that Curtain.
There is no Point, except they decide to do that, because it is not our Company/Business.

And from my own experience, in a specific Company as an employee for almost 7 Years.
My boss was making always and anytime different Proposals and Promises,
but he was never be able to solve these things, for different Reasons.
Market changes, Customer changes, or simply not enough Time and Manpower
to deal with every single Situation.
Or just simply he has overestimated himself, which can happen to everyone of us,
please think about that 😉

Let us stay short on the Topic Manpower, Employees are costing Money, but it is impossible to pay those Employees when Customers asking continuously for more Discounts or better/cheaper Deals.

And just to Remember, we didn't pay any Cent/Penny for the iStripper Client Software.
Some Members from this Community are providing us with different Skins and Fullscreenscenes.
That is not a matter, of course.

So Totem, the Creators from the Community, and the Participants of the Forum
are in my Opinion the best Proposal and Promise, which can be made to every Single User/Customer.

The Problem is when things becoming redundant, people forget about that.

Be Grateful and Appreciative for what you have now and not for, what you could get eventually.

Yeah I really like that feature of iStripper, where it shows you if the images are aligned. When I'm "assembling" a scene I like to have the .scn file, background, and iStripper open at the same time ATL Tabing between them all. Hovering the mouse over the scene gives a quick preview if stuff is aligned without having to activate Fullscreen for each little modification.
Its a great feature, I really like it.

@sh42n81 - there is at least one other oddity with the scene previews. If, as I often do, you use a single image with transparent sections, but with colour information retained for those transpaent sections, for both the background and foreground parts of the scene then those sections are displayed in white in the previews (or at least they are on my machine).

In case you are wondering, I use this so that I only need one image file rather than two and it automatically ensures that the background (which has blend: false) and the foreground (with blend: true) are perfectly aligned. Unfortunately, without resorting to shaders, this technique can not be extended to three or more layers in one image.

Thank you, I now understand that those "ambient" and "rotation" errors were not coming from the scene that was playing during the timestamp. That clears up that mystery!

I scurried back to the familiar comfort of Windows when I became obsessed with making scenes, but I do think it's time to choose Ubuntu again the next time I encounter the Grub loader. It will be educational for me to compare the recommended search tools and note the different features and results. I have to say, "Agent Ransack" is the best name for a search tool that I have ever heard!

This is still true from my perspective. I'm very comfortable with the Windows command prompt and, to a lesser extent, PowerShell, but the *nix command line is still rather opaque to me. I do try to ***** myself to work in it as much as possible while using Ubuntu, but not to the extent that I'm willing to run without a GUI. If I were, that certainly would ***** me to learn quickly! 😄

Also when you simply start iStripper I think that it automatically regenerates a preview of a single scene chosen at random - you can see this from the date stamps for the .scn.cache files.

I have noticed this and also that, if Full Screen is not running and you point your cursor at a scene tile in the preview screen, it will show you a motion preview of that scene with a randomly chosen clip and also update the cache file with that clip at that time*. This does not occur if you point your cursor at the preview tile while Full Screen is running (possible if you have Full Screen displayed on a monitor other than your primary).

I used to include the cache files in my scene zips, because I saw that others were doing that and I thought it might be necessary. But I stopped after I noticed this behavior and that iStripper will simply spawn a new cache file if one is missing.

Si on ne nous dit pas directement que la vente des cartes n'est pas rentable et qu'il faudrait que chaque membre paie tel montant pour une carte, nous ne pouvons que faire des suppositions.

Dépenser plus ici, d'accord, mais pour du contenu que l'on veut. Il y a de nombreux moyens de satisfaire ceux qui sont mécontents en raison des jeux de hasard. Par ex :

- proposer d'acheter un peu plus cher un lot de cartes que l'on choisit, et y inclure une carte spéciale
• permettre l'achat de cartes Joker, ou directement des cartes spéciales après un certain temps à un prix plus élevé
• instaurer un système de points, plus on achète de cartes, plus on accumule des points, points que l'on pourrait échanger contre une carte spéciale

Cela n'empêche pas de continuer à proposer les jeux de hasard pour ceux qui préfèrent ce moyen.

Nothing wrong with sharing knowlege - but to suggest that sed is a, in your words, "very very convenient" utility is, I think, rather stretching the meaning of convenient. It is very powerful, but like almost all unix/linux/Gnu utilities it is not very convenient for the majority of today's computer users who, unfortunately, are typically not very familar with command line utilities.

Many years ago, before graphical interfaces became the norm, when almost all computer users were familar with using the command line (because for most that is all they had) a relatively common saying was that "the unix user interface is as user friendy as a cornered rat".

They can both be used to do similar tasks, in this case to look for a simple string, but that does not make them similar tools. If I had wanted to I could also have used the windows Find or Findstr command line utilities - and i often do when that is appropriate - which are far more similar to that particular use of sed. Findstr is the windows equivalent to grep. However, a tool like Agent Ransack is far more convenient for typical computer users.

and execute the following Command.

sed -i -e 's/rotation/rot/g' *.scn

The first Value rotation is what sed should looking for, the second for the replacement.
If no Error Message shown in the Terminal, it's all good 👍

I'm still absorbing the fact that you have over 6000 scenes!! thats incredible!!

A large part of that total is due to having many ***** variations of a single scenes, mostly variations in the values in the uniform: clauses that are used to pass parameters to shaders. This is particularly so for my "experiments" and EmuLib scenes where I am trying out or demonstrating the effects that can be acheived by these shaders.

Then, I found that when iStripper goes to the "fullscreen preview" page it actually reads everything in your collection and will pick up any error it can find in any of your scenes in your collection!

That is correct. I had never noticed that myself, though I probably have been ***** from it. Whenever possible I normally just use Allow: clause to specify what types of clips I want to see and then add Deny: clauses to disallow inout or accessories if they are not appropriate to the scene, Unfortunately the is no Allow: Standing so you have to use the long list of clip types to deny if you only want simple standing clips.

It was found in the following files (I use my own file naming scheme but you should be able to recognise the originals)

Interesting observations @sh42n81

Last night I cleaned all the scenes in my collection and took all of them out of iStripper, then put them back in one at a time.
Funny result was that even just starting iStripper it had the RGB error codes. Those arent anything major and wont effect the performance but is interesting just starting the program it has these errors.

Then, I found that when iStripper goes to the "fullscreen preview" page it actually reads everything in your collection and will pick up any error it can find in any of your scenes in your collection!

I had "Rotation" and "Ambient" errors individually in 3 scenes (took a lot of looking to find lol) So repaired them and now I have no rotation or ambient errors at all.

I dont think its worth trying to find all the errors if the scenes work, but if it effects performance its worth investigating each file individually, one bad scene has impacts on the others.

Another interesting find was if the sprite has a definition ie: allow: pole - and then has a long list of "deny" under it, the system takes longer to find the correct / appropriate show.
I modified all my 127 scenes so that if it is allowing pole for example, I deleted all the denies under it (table, behindtable, top etc). All my scenes now go faster!
It makes sense though, it means the system is just finding pole clips only, and not trying to further clarify beyond pole what other elements it needs to deny. Noticably much faster 😉

I spent some time digging into the error log with my IBTC scene today.

There are tons of these, but they are just warnings. I don't notice any peformance problems in spite of a high RAM load. Most of them are very small: from 0 - 3 ms and, interestingly, mostly at frame -1, 0, or 1. So, right at the start of a clip, perhaps?

Curiously, I am experiencing performance problems on this PC right now and text that I type is being delayed appearing on screen. But it isn't my 6-clip and 3-shadow IBTC scene that is playing--it is the standard "Paint" scene that comes with iStripper and only has a single clip. My GPU really doesn't like motion backgrounds, it would seem. CPU usage (by vghd.exe) is only 9% and RAM is a paltry 300MB.

I just told iStripper to find a different scene. It chose The Penthouse Club and now I can type in real time again. 😊 I am banning Paint now.

Also just a warning. I had 7 of these each time the scene ran. This matches the 7 .png files that make up the scene: the background and 6 masks, each made from duplicates of the background image.

I opened each of them in GIMP and converted the sRGB profiles to GIMP's built-in profile. That did eliminate the warnings from the log. I will make sure to take this step with scenes that I create in the future, just as a best practice, but i don't see the need to revise my current scenes to replace the color profile. It doesn't seem to be causing any trouble. The Internet and @TheEmu agree that it can be ignored.

These are just weird. The only place in this scene where the "ambient" property appears is the "light" node, and I know that's valid. "Rotation" spelled as the whole word, doesn't appear at all. I have used "rot" in clipSprites and I know that's valid, too.

i did a search to verify that "rot" isn't being used out of place anywhere, and it isn't. Also verifired that I didn't accidentally type "rotation" anywhere. That word does not exist in the file.
