As OP for this topic, my view on this (like on many things VGHD related) has mellowed on this somewhat. I think that the girls looking at the camera can work quite well sometimes. I think it depends on the scene and the girl involved.

In reality, this is not the biggest issue with DB. I think the biggest issues are more to do with camera angles and nature of activity.

The camera angles are a problem sometimes because we can't see anything. So even if the scene looks good, we can't appreciate it because there is a thigh or head in the way.

And I still don't think oral sex is done that well. The clips where it is done well is an exception rather than the rule. Of course, that is related to the first point. In regular porn, the close up clips seem to be specially filmed. But the semi-live nature of the scenes means that oral sex cones across as less exciting. Also the environment perhaps makes filming effective scenes more challenging.

Of course, I think that DB offers a lot that regular porn doesn't. There are a lot of good things about DB. And that is why I still buy some cards every so often.

I understand what @Rex is saying in his post. That is understandable given the semi-live nature of the filming. But the OP is not really about that. It is more about where the girls seem to be constantly looking at the viewer, rather than pretending they are alone with their partner.

But as I said, I'm less bothered about them looking at the camera.
