is there a way to get the original cards from the shows of VirtuaGirl 2 back?
Maybe as a replacement card pack? I somehow liked those backgrounds and it's also a good way to tell the old cards of my collection apart from the new ones.

VirtuaGirl is a wonderful program on it's own, and music adds a new dimension to the experience. There is a single mp3 file included with the software download, and any mp3 can be added to the software from my personal collection which is a nice feature.

All of the bonus videos associated with each card have music embedded in the video which can be toggled on or off in the settings, but I can only listen to them while playing the video that the song is embedded in.

Is there a way to find the song names and/or authors of the music that is embedded in the bonus videos?

Are those songs available for download here on this site?

Can I strip those songs from the videos myself and use them elsewhere within the software without breaking any rules or contravening the terms of use? Although the TOS/EULA are clearly stated, I'm not certain about this option, and I want to be particularly careful before I proceed along this path. I understand that I may have to refer to legislation in my home country as well before attempting this trick.

Here are 2 new scenes for the fullscreen mode, and for the version >= 1.2.0.64
It shows how to use the framebuffers, the uniforms and multiple textures with one shader.

the screenshots are showing the 2 effects one with / without the antiAlias (check the edges of the model)

1. shadowBlob

A soft shadow is created with a multi-pass gaussian blur shader (1st pass: horizontal blur, and 2nd pass the vertical blur and a color change). The same shader is used twice, with different parameters.
Note that a border is used there, to avoid lines at the edges of the clip when we blur it.

2. bloom

The same technic is used (multi-pass shaders).
First, an experimental anti-alias (FXAA) shader is applied on the Clip (see the screenshot).
Then we make a ‘bloom’ effect on the clip (bright pass filter, then blurred with the 2 pass technic), and then combined with the Clip.
The light spots are also combined with the final result to alter the clip colors.

About control up to 10 dancers: if Rex said that up 10 - then soon or later will be done. i assume up to 10 means a lot of dependencies so it's may be right way to start from 1.

yes, they are future releases because their full png images on the Totem's servers

One thing I miss about the earlier Deskbabe shows are the files other than close-ups -- when they used to walk around. I don't know if they'll ever get back to that, but I really would hope so.

Not a bad list in my opinion, although the average position for these girls on my list is 191.. Only 5 girls score top 100: Angel Kiss, Gracy-*****, Eve Angel, Naomi Nevena and Ariel.

I'm trying with @Lunarpup's help at the moment to get some of his recent black background fractal wonders..his original image files ( or if any be larger than 4 MB or if unflattened gems say) , up & onto the share server soon, if thats ok with @Wyld.. Maybe it can be done easiest via @Lunapup deploying Wyld's upload drop-file-in-a-box program straight from LP's computer: (no need to zip up or restrict to 256 colors)

The only cards of Isizzu on VirtuaGirl are those in this screenshot.
I guess the cards in your pics have not been released.

I see them in hershies/staryk vg cards replacements. But I can't see/buy them on the store. Do I have to be a certain collection status before I see them ? I hope I'm not breaking a rule here. I just don't know.

I've noticed this too. I believe the scene debugger counts the lines that actually have something typed on them and then adds a couple of numbers. Like your s-cap, I usually look back a few lines to find what the debugger is telling me to correct. Not exactly user-friendly but we can figure out where the problem is most of the time :/

A more accurate debug kit would be nice tho :) How long till xmas? ;) Oh wait, it's my birthday in 2 weeks! ...

Actually i should be thankful to the team for removing that feature because now i know how many users really use it and actually depend on it to enjoy their vg shows.
Well Alexis just announced it will be back next week not in the full form that Rex announced(control up to 10 girls) but in the old form which means i can control the clip of one girl on screen in small and of course big mode. Depending on the question if also the clip that is currently playing will be stored in the registry again i might not even have to change my addon to make it work again. But if they don't bring that back the failsafe has to be removed.
By failsafe i mean that if i command VG to play a clip i can't check if that clip was really played anymore. I added that failsafe a while ago allowing me to command VG again to play that clips if it did play another one. Only if on second try it wouldn't play it i would skip it for good. this also allowed user interaction like skipping the current clip with the vip tool as my addon would then continue with the next clip on its queue once that clip was played.
So once the registry feature is back i will check if it works with the failsafe and if not i will remove it and release the new version ASAP so you guys don't have to wait for me after waiting so long for Totem.

The line number shown on VGP debug screen is vague and *****. Maybe needs fixing to be more detailed/explanatory so nubies like me don't give up.

This update is being prepared just 2 hours prior to Sunday, January 25th, 2015, in Melbourne, Australia. So it will be up on Saturday for all except some Kiwis, possibly.

We have reached the round figure of 60 members with posted votes.
Our top 20 point scorers comprise the same 20 girls/models as last update, with a few position changes. So, to give you all some new information to digest, I have added 2 numbers after each name.
The first figure gives the number of voters to include that girl, while the second figure is the number of 3 points awarded to her. I hope I have managed to keep the numbers in a passable vertical line.

That seems to have worked in a limited fashion only. Totem's software is not always user friendly.

Anna Tatu and Melisa both have points from over 50% of voting members. Note that Melisa leads in the number of 3 pointers. Melisa fans are loyal!

If you make the effort to check past updates, you can see that the two leaders continue to outscore all other models and have slowly pulled further ahead.

In the chasing pack, Melena Tara has made most progress to sit in the top 5 for the first time.

There are now 50 models with 10 points or more. I will save listing all for another update, but closest to the top 20, both on 19 points, are Dayzee & Tess Lyndon. Tess L has points from 5 of the last 6 to post votes.

Over 250 models have been awarded points, including approx 77% of surviving VGHD a-series.

That looks to be a good idea! Thought in License Agreement it's written expressly, how and where the nudity can be posted, some extra info about won't definitely *****.

Nudity is generally NOT allowed anywhere in the Forum, but there are exceptions, which have been shown separately in specific categories.

So if you have any doubt about posting nude, go right to the beginning of the thread and check it out. If there is no word about the nude content - it's not allowed.

Edit: But to assume that everyone has read the T.O.S & E.U.L.A is also too much to expect, 'cause it's not an easy reading, especially for non English folks.

The New uniform Keyword for the Scene files.
this will allow you to Pass a variable to the Shader from the Scene..
you define and create the Variable in the Scene.
then in the Shader you Read in the variable and it Value.

I modified my Scene to use the New uniform keyword to pass variables to my Shader.
you can use any name you want for the Variable, as long as it's not a protected GLSL word.

the name you use in the Scene file Must be exactly the same then in the Shader.

in the Scene you use
uniform: VariableName, type, Value

in the shader you use
uniform type VariableName

So to recap
in the scene you define and set a value to a variable using a name of your own choice.

this is then passed to the shader by using the Same exact variable name.

You even get a Toggle Button if you have an error..

I'm same @hombre, I've been using Notepad for SCNs and Notepadplus for shaders. Otherwise the top bar gets very full of previous work and you have to zigzag back and forward to crossrefer. Apologies for all my untidy code lines amigo..sometimes when you get it to work, you just wanna get it out of your hair and get on with something else.

I keep grizzling in bugs/fix about no vertical slide range on Totems player debug but they seem not interested, so what/where is the debug temp file located to look at?

btw, I put another nested quad shader to work on one of Lunarpups marvellous creations in the download thread. hope it can give you some further ideas. cheers @all ;)

Yes I know what you mean but I couldn't resist the "aside". I did a very little bit of programming many years ago and the compilers used pick up syntax errors and the like. Even VG does to a certain extent - you get the toggle log button up for serious errors but I agree that it would be nice if it was a bit more rigorous sometimes.

You obviously read my "uniform" surmises before I edited my post - again :-). I tried it in a test scene - it does work as an allow/deny thing so I edited the post to take it out.

LMAO! Who are you calling a little debugger! Seriously tho, I was thinking along the lines of what Shadertoy do. One can alter the code online and test it instantly. They have a built in debugger :)

Well the uniforms did cross my mind but I didn't think Fullscreen had a filter for any kind of scene except the nudity range ;) So what the hell is this new 'Uniform' thing in .scn files? I can only guess it means that one can set up a 'uniform' for a clip size, standingHeight, nameGlowColor, etc.

How's this for a guess at the code...

uniform clip deny: accessories, behindtable, top
uniform nameGlowColor 1, 0, 0
uniform standingHeight 800

This might mean 3 girls with all exactly the same parameters

In the code body, we would only need to type:

clipSprite: {uniform
}

Still a newbie to coding here but that seems logical to me :)

Normally if you click on an opening { or closing } it highlights the next (or previous) bracket as well.

I usually use this method but yours is actually much simpler.

I've noted from many .scn files that some people are not too neat with their layouts. By that, I mean that the code is staggered all over the place.

I find Notepad plus plus actually helps with keeping the alignment. It can be difficult with Windows notepad as it doesn't always respect tabs and formatting

If you are comfortable with Windows file moving, deleting, etc., then you can just delete the 4 incorrect scene files (13 to 16) and download the revised corrected files for these which are locate in a Dropbox zip file. This just contains the ".scn" files.
