I recently had a PC crash and had to reload iStripper. The models directory was still intact but the information in the data directory was lost. No problem I thought when all the E/F series indicated an update was available. The data is there so there shouldn't be anything really to download. Wrong over the next 3 days my entire E/F series was downloaded again 791GB. My provider hasn't sent me a bill for being over my limit but this software is terrible at doing unnecessary downloads.

There must be a more reliable and more efficient method that could be implemented that would not perform unnecessary downloads and thus much less work for Totem servers as well.

Mouse select process still not fixed. It is impossible to use CNTRL or SHIFT to select the first card. It always open the card information. A trick provided by someone here (sorry memory eludes me but thanks for the work around) is to use CNTRL + click on the colection area but not a card and then ***** the mouse with the CNTRL key depressed.

Will this ongoing bug with select ever be fixed?

Gloria is good, since you mentioned slim models. The only thing is she has one XXX card which isn't as good as typical equivalent cards and her standard sets feature no rubbing. She has one card with black stockings but I don't know if most of her cards have the stockings staying on for most of the set.

Sybil, Pepper XO and Kalisy aren't bad either

Honestly though, mentioning Lexi threw me off completely as she doesn't (in my opinion) fit in among the girls you've mentioned at all, except for maybe 'Young Looking'.

You want your 10 second no-nudity previews back? I find that amusing. I've actually been wondering if we'd ever get a button that 'deletes all previews of downloaded purchased cards' lmfao

In any case, features like these that delete previews really should have come with a toggle option, much like the 'no hanging clips' option is also a toggle.

I like the diversity rolling in, and Totem is providing plenty of young fit models. Lexi is still a beautiful woman, but I can understand if one might not be able to get past the image of her petite figure she rock in her career vs her full body now. As far as the outfits go, a lot seem to be provided by what the model brings and their tastes, especially on the US side. Sometimes they are great, and sometimes just not to every ones taste. As far as Jelena is concerned, she is looking fantastic.

Altough I did bought Lexi (actually I've never heard of her), I also would rather see more MA girls. At the other end, we did get Genevieve and Zelda not so long ago so I can find myself in the balance between new, young models and some older ones like Lexi.

I had it working on a NAS before but it had some delays at the start of shows. Before I switched to ac wireless card so it may not happen now. Simplest way I know is create a windows network drive and store the files in a folder linked to that drive.

Hi everyone does anyone have some ideas of the simplest way to store models on an external drive or if possible have you tried on a NAS? I have nearly filled my drive up and as I have only a laptop I'm limited to 2tb of storage shared with OS and other docs VG uses about 1.8TB haha I thought about external but having to have the drive plugged in everytime is a ***** and I thought about swapping out the disc drive and using those drive adapaters to add a 2nd drive but I still use my blu ray drive.

On the other hand we don't want hard drives to be filled up, so we added this limit to keep the amount of data shared to a reasonable amount (2Gb).
This feature is supposed to manage only data from free previews that have been removed from iStripper but is still present on hard drives.
It should not have any impact other than deleting data that was only used for P2P.

Balance is the key to a good product. A lot of buyers are going to be over 40, and Lexi and Jelena were in their prime when those over 40 we getting hooked on porn. A couple of teens from Kiev, some starlets from Vegas, and some over 35 woman from porns past...its all about balance.

So im ***** now. What is the difference between regular previews and P2P preview data? I just checked my demos files and I have 42GBs of demos installed. I don't mind supporting the load of previews just don't want to delete files needed for P2P. Also that could be a incentive for earning credits at a nominal seed rate( Talking .001-.01 here). I have a 100/10Mbps connection and it is just sitting most of the time. Come up with a separate program from iStrippers to manage preview traffic in and out and release it on a limited scale basis to cut down on ***** if some misuses it. If ppl were getting some back I bet people would be out buying hard drives instead of worrying were a few gigabytes went to.

I have my preferred resolution set to 3K but some cards are defaulting to 1080p and some do download @3K. I thopught maybe it has something to do with the preview being downloading at 1080p and that is what the show downloads at but I know for a fact that most of my previews are 3K now.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work as planned. Poor testing? I have no objection to a limit on the number of free demos on my computer, but I have a lot of disk space so "Delete peer to peer..." is OFF on my Mac.

Yes, going to download one and see once I have completed dowloading my full collection again 1000+ slowly getting there.

I have enabled "Delete peer to peer files from my HD when deleting previews" yet I still have some 9 GB of .demo files (!!!), which seems preposterous because I have not downloaded that many. So why aren't they being deleted by this new update? Can I safely purge this collection?

It deletes demo's on purchased cards? That has to be a bug .. I like the demo and want to keep them.

I'm sure Totem will correct the error. I purchase 121 cards over the weekend and only 1 time I didn't get the credit until my 5th card. I'll ask totem to credit me accordingly as well.

Today I stopped getting alert notifications of the credit but when I checked my account history I did receive the credits.

I have no clue what is causing this. I did a search for *.demo files on my E drive/models and very few results came back.

This appears to mean that we all have to re-download the demos that we are missing and P2P is screwed up for quite a while.

The REALLY sad part is that if your demos of purchased cards are gone, you have to update the card which means, from my experience, downloading the whole card again.

I'm running on a Mac Pro using OSX 10.12.1 and iStripper 142. About 2/3 of my models folders no longer have .demo files. I can provide a list of the folders with missing demos. What's strange is that some folders still have demos and these tend to be e and f series cards, but not all of the e & f folders have demos.

Fortunately, I backed up my Alizee cards when she retired. Including the demo clips :)

I just did a test, 3 times to be sure. I copied and pasted my back-up clips from card a0820, including the demos back into the correct model folder of this card. The demo clips will play using WA's original player.

Now, when I restart the gui, the demos have disappeared again. The new software is definitely wiping out demos left right and centre! Oh, and I tried this same test with another model still on sale. Same result.

This needs an urgent fix, Team!

Edit: In the Gui when I open this card of Alizee's the demo clips do not show. However, in the model folder for this card, they are there and as I said, will play using WA's original player. This is only because I pasted the clips back into the folder from my back-up. Weird :/

If you Put back the aXXXX.vhdtrailes file and then do a rebuild collection.
I don't think it will again delete the files.

I'm gonna run a few tests...

on only One system I installed 1.2.140 first followed by 1.2.142
on the other two I went directly from 1.2.138 to 1.2.142

I've yet to have it delete the demos from any of my purchased cards..

I wrote a script to list out all my .demo files.

in the Models folder I created a New text file.
then named it list-all-demos.bat
yes, you have to change the extension from .txt to .bat
put this in the text file then save it, then rename it.
save it in the Models folder

I understand that the release version notes says it will delete demo files if the quota is execeeded.

I took this to mean it would disable previews from playing not that it would delete the actual demo files themeselves. Also it does not say anything about deleting demos of cards you already own. If Totem want to delete previews of unpurchased cards then fine I don't have a problem with that. I can always download them again if I am considering purchasing a card.

I am now beyond annoyed with this.

Ihave tried to play fair by Totem by not deleting demo files and keeping P2P turned on. I am now repaid by Totem deleting previews of cards I have purchased.

I see little point now in keeping P2P turned on - there is virtually nothing to share anymore.

I have a question for everyone. This might not be the place for it, but I think I might get some honest replies in this thread. I haven't updated my VG software since the change to iStripper. There were SO many bugs with the switch I didn't want to mess with it. My question is: Is this version of iStripper worth updating my software?

Since this current version 1.2.142 might have a BUG in it. I'd say wait..
but if you can install 1.2.138 then go for it...

Spavey, you are back on 1.2.132 according to this website. No idea if that has anything to do with the problem but I assure you and the Team that just about All of my demo clips disappeared after installing 1.2.142. I'm on Windows 7. Maybe it was a platform based mistake. I've looked thru my vghd.log file and can't see anything to indicate why this happened. When I opened the demos.lst file, there was nothing there. It just said 'demos' and no other info.

As @No.6 pointed out and I mentioned elsewhere, P2P won't work very well with nothing to share :/

yes, i've also installed before the Beta 140 and one day later the version 142.
i have randomly looked in the different folders and the Demo-files are still there.

i also think it might be curious when you install a new version (no matter if it's a Beta or an Official release version) that all Demo-files will deleted without any permission from a members side.

also there were no announcement from the Team of that point by releasing Beta 140 and Version 142.

Nice Black Friday event we have here. But i have a problem. I don't know what to buy anymore, i am out of my "fence" shows, and ive spent hours in shop browsing. Still sitting on a bunch of Creds. So, if the following combo rings a bell, please post it.
I'd like to see both
1. Slim. Sabrisse, Isizzu, Heidi are slim. Noemi Moon and Estonika are barely slim, but i guess acceptable if they qualify for points below.
And
2. Young-looking. I really like Lexi Belle and Alexa Thomas... in their videos made 5-10 years ago. They are still hot, just not my cup of boo-tea.
Plus any of
3. (Preferrably) Black stockings that STAY in most clips, and definitely not removed on screen.

all i can say from my side. i have still all my demo files after installing version .142.
so it might be another issue.

What I cannot understand is why the software needs to delete the demo files at all.

Demo files have be present on my machine for as long as I have been a member. On the old VG system they only became playable when the girl was on the carousel. Even on the new system the demos are only active if you "download demo". Once you delete "the demo" the demo files used to be left behind and the preview disabled in the software (i.e. "Preview" sticker not displayed).

I had assumed all this was done with "flags" in the software and that Totem were going to limit the number of "flags" available in the future. Under this method there is no reason to delete "demo files". Fine I had no problem with this as I wouild have been able to keep playing demo files of purchased shows. For me the demos are part of the show.

Wholsale deletion of demo files, particularly for purchased cards really isn't on and I am becoming more and more annoyed about this.

Furthermore it makes it absolutley pointless that I kept the demo files (for unpurchased cards) for sharing on P2P.

There is a way round of getting back the demo files for unpurchased cards but none that I can see for purchased cards other than @HombreSinSombra's suggestion. The feasability of deleting and re-downloading 2600 cards is too daunting even on a 200MB connection.

Plus how will Totem's servers react to all user's trying to get their demo files back. Thousands of users trying re-download thousands of cards they have already purchased and downloaded.

@Virt4B: I have the same issues. The new software has deleted almost all of my demo clips, including already purchased cards. I am now left with around 20 card demos :(

I tried rebuilding my collection but that only worked on one card, Nekane E0302/ Diabolic. Nothing else was affected. I tried also to update Nekane's card E0403 to replace the missing demo clips. This then had to re-download the whole card. This issue has been around for about a year!

The only way I've found to get the demo downloads to work again is to delete the model AND data folder for each one. As I said elsewhere, Not Good!

I'm asking this because after installing the new version the software started to delete older and deleted previews. I was not amused but ok.
But ... I bought a lot of my preview cards due to the Black Friday Offer and now I wanted to see some older previews once again - maybe to buy it because of the special offer.
Saw some on the regular wheel and click on Download peview - but nothing happens. It instantly changed to start preview an when I click on start I see
the warning message and nothing happens. All levels, all contens are allowed.
So what can I do to see this previews again??

please give me you can tell whether it is completed Black Friday because we no longer pay back after 4 cards, thank you
