Today's (Monday) release is a good example of why I refuse to buy cards I know nothing about.

I'm hoping that he makes a version that works on mobile devices.

Talk about putting up a red flag........

It would be great to have these purchase offers available from the mobile website.

Just a few short years ago, each card was amazing, & that is what placed me on the path to wanting them all. But now, the focus seems to have narrowed to mostly just girls from eastern europe, instead of the worldwide options that used to be offered. Within the last 1-2 years the standard has become more like this: Some girls are hot, some simply are not. For that reason, more & more customers are becoming very particular about which cards are purchased. All of the girls are beautiful in their own way, some just a lot more than others.

So interesting... Please give us even more details.

I don't know if you are responding to my post or not, but since I did refer to the Black Fox promotion as a "one-sided deal" I'll offer a rebuttal:

1) First, let's establish that I shared an opinion about how Totem could incentivize me to participate in their bulk-buy promotions (you know, so I would then want to buy more credits and help them "keep the lights on"), not some "entitled" demand for "***** discounts beyond what my level allows". I did not ask, nor would I ask, for that. In fact, I'm quite satisfied with the built-in discount tiers and advancement requirements Totem has in place (and I love the additional flash sales that occasionally pop up), but that's beside the point as my post had nothing to do with discounts.

2) Second, my post had to do with the way this particular promotion was structured. I don't think it's unreasonable to offer Totem feedback saying that requiring a blind buy of several hundred credits upfront to unlock a single card is one-sided. Totem gets my money for the credits I buy either way; all I'm asking is to know what I'm redeeming with those credits I've purchased. That's hardly an "entitled" request. I mean ... do you go to the supermarket and pay upfront for a bag of mystery groceries? Do you go to the theater and pay for a ticket only to find out what movie you're going to see after you've taken your seat? Again, I'm not asking for some additional or "***** discount beyond what my level allows"; I'm simply saying I want to know what I'm paying for. I would be much more inclined to participate in a bulk-buy promotion if a) I could preview what cards I'm redeeming or b) the cards I receive are randomly selected from my wishlist. I just want to know I'm not throwing my money away on cards I won't ever use. Heck, even if they wanted to leave the bulk-promotion structure as is but also offer an individual-buy option at a premium price for those who just want to buy the Black Fox card, I'd be all sorts of interested.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter to me if I ever own the Black Fox card or if Totem decides to do anything with my feedback. It's their business model, and they can do whatever they like. I simply wanted to share how they could incentivize me -- and I'm sure many others -- as a user of their platform, to participate in these bulk promotions and spend lots of credits at a single time (and therefore buy more credits). As for right now, though, I'm completely satisified to just buy the shows I want individually (and purchase credits less often) if it means I get to know what I'm spending my money on.

Please feel free to disagree with my opinion, but please don't insinuate that that somehow makes me "entitled" or claim that I'm somehow trying to weasel my way into a bigger discount.

I'm planning on making my own Istripper software but mine will be totally free even the cards and girls will be free and even the nude will be free and it will have the same girls and cards as you see in Istripper. All the cards will be in 10k and you do not have to pay to see the girls nude you will also see some pornstars that were not in Istripper like Jesse Jane

Oh I already got it, felt like a bitch doing it too. Totem won out on this one cause I adore the red fox. If I decided not to do the deal I would have said screw the card. But yeah you can scoff at my entitlement, I can scoff at your brownosing and we can just keep doing this whole thing over when the next card comes ouit (whether its one I personally want or not I am still gonna call this bullcrap out)

You still have three or so days to get the card with the current offer. After that time is up, well you can throw thousands of credits at the scratch game in the hopes that RNGeesus smiles at you, and then rail at the crappiness of Totem's games.

Better off paying the 500 or whatever credits now. Who knows, you might even like some of cards released in July.

What was the expected channels when I and many others first started was that you buy a card that was offered, when those changed then yeah us who don't like it are entitled to express how we don't like it, and well if you don't like it tough. This is gonna more the likely keep happening with every exclusive card that comes out so you can just sit back and keep scoffing at the entitlement then.

Yes. Wanting and expecting to have a card without going through the channels as prescribed by the vendor/producer is nothing less than entitlement.

It is easier to find yourself in the list if you use the website (assuming your web browser has a find in page function). Or you can cut and paste the list from the GUI into a text file and use an editor to find your name.

Still don't understand how this works. I was previously on the list, and I dutifuly buy every show that is released. Now I'm nowhere to be seen, even though I have a collection over 4,200 (which by the way is higher than the person in first place).

Can someone PLEASE explain how this is calculated again?

OK. I am sure there will come a point in time when I will be unable to obtain one of these special event cards for whatever reason. It will be disappointing but unfortunately that is life. It isn't really the end of the world.

There a few cards that aren't in my collection and can never be obtained because they have been removed. Like I said disappointing but life goes on.

I very much liked the old VGHD subscriptions, which in many ways resembled the current monthly pre-purchase offer (and even more closely the previous one that included a discount). So the evidence suggests that "pig in a poke" offers (as a previous poster caled them) would be popular as long as they were accompanied by a small discount - despite several posters here being most adamant about only buying cards that they individually choose it seems that many others take a very different view as long as there is some small inducement to do so, This week's special offer will show Totem whether or not that "small inducement" can be as small as a single free card.

@TheEmu, yes '*****' was the wrong word.. I meant 'content which is largely unknown' ahead, like in the very early days of VG subscription.

I essentially agree with what @EverthangForever said - with one small change, I would replace "*****" with "optional".

What the offer amounts to is somewhat like a ***** trial subscription at full cost.

To get a known number of members guaranteeing payment in advance there needs to be trust in the content offered. I used to buy far more cards than i do now & to get me to subscribe monthly, @Team would need to separate out their month's content into something i would be happy to receive. Something like idancer without any clothes or toys at all involved in the performance from Go to Whoa. Its not stripping, however as a separate product of known content it could be a novel enough & attractive proposition for both the old & new mainstream users to sign up to.

I badly want this promo card, but no way im paying so much for it without any heads up to what im buying into. Sucks, cause I know ill spend big on scratchies to get this card

If I'm part of everyone, then the answer is NO. I buy the cards I think I will enjoy watching. At present I buy about half of the cards when they come out. I'm very happy with this.
