What with all the crap negitive comments guys? I mean crap like with marie about her teeth? (i bet ya not looking at her mouth when she is fingering her self. I am new to VG and have learnt not to be looking at the coments before getting a card cause all of these girls are great (yes i know some have poor boob jobs) but i still thinnk these guys that make some of the poor coments are not the best lookers them self.
Mabe they should get rid of alot of the negitive commenmts about the girls. At least you don't get plumpers

If done fairly and objectively, negative comments do serve a purpose. A quick glance through the current 28,386 "members" reveals that most of them have never bought any cards. This silent majority is probably sitting on the fence, ***** over whether they should spring for two dollars and see if these strippers are really worth it. Their only sources of information to help them decide to take the plunge are the honest and candid comments and numerical ratings they can see.

If we always give nothing but glowing comments and ratings of 10, we are not providing any useful information to these people. But if they can see that we are being as informative and honest as we can be - sometimes ***** honest - potential customers will eventually realize we're being straight with them. They will come to trust Totem, buy cards, grow the business, and Totem will be able to invest in ever more high quality babes.

Honesty first - then be as polite as you can.

i agree if all coments are good and all rateings are 10 they become useles

where ratings become unfair is that the rating system is available to all users who have signed on whether they own the card or not. We all know it's unfair to rate a card if you have never seen the show.
Also everyone has different tastes like myself, I don't like Lucky because of the tan lines under her ass cheeks but a lot of people do like her and I respect their tastes. Some like big boobs like me, I have always been a big boob lover but I love Sandra H with a passion and she don't have big boobs at all.
My suggestion would be to go with what you like despite the negative comments,that is what I did and am not disappointed I did it that way.
Agreed that if they were all rated at 10 they would be useless but on the ohter hand if they were all rated at 4 or 5 the ratings would also be useless. I more or less ignore the ratings since I found out they were available to all even if they don't have the shows.

I agree it's ridiculous to allow people who have not seen the card to rate the card. Maybe there are so few actual purchasers and such a small percentage of them who bother to rate or comment, this was Totem's only way to pad the voter rolls. At least there ought to be an asterisk or something next to comments made by non-purchasers.

On the other hand, I find the ratings system to yield incredibly accurate and useful results. It's called the wisdom of the masses. In my humble opinion, a card rated 9.27 really is better than a 9.00 which is a whole lot better than an 8.50, etc. Of course, they're all absolutely delightful down to about a 7.00, below which they really do deserve their low ratings.

My inner teen-ager is fascinated by what the ratings tell us.

Dorothy Banks is 1 of the sexiest girls in VGHD and take a look at her rating !Just to name her cause there are other girls UNDERRATED in my opinion aswell as some girls are overrated..

Also Felina was rated around 5 in VG2 and she s the most visited girl on my site

There will always be healthy differences of opinion, which is why when you strongly disagree with the comments and/or average rating you see on a card, it's time to add your own thoughtful comments if you haven't already. An educated consumer may soon realize that he can spot commentators out there who more often than not share his tastes, and he will gravitate towards those comments. (Anybody remember Richard Dawson on the old TV show, The Match Game? EVERYBODY wanted to pair up with him.)

No one is suggesting going SOLELY with the ratings. In my experience, they can sometimes under-rate a good or great card (like Maggie, Mitsouko, LucyNova), but they hardly ever over-rate a bad card (Nesty). Ratings are just one more shiny tool in our bag of tricks.

If most people are like me, in VG2 they would rate girls according to the quality of their animations rather than their appearance. The earlier animations would recieve poor ratings because their animations were just crap compared to the ones filmed on the newer cameras. As for Felina, I just don't find her attractive. So even though she's in HD now I still give her a low rating. However, Krystal will probably recieve a higher rating from me this go around because I find her more attractive than Felina. If I remember right Krystal's animations were crap quality on VG2, so I rated her poorly then also.

You can only give one overall numerical rating to a card, but you can certainly expound in detail on ALL the pros and cons in your comments (animation quality, appearance, phony body parts, etc.).

I once received a performance evaluation at work (a long time ago of course) where the boss started out with a very insightful and thoughtful compliment, after which he slammed me for something negative that I'm sure I deserved. I was so impressed with the fairness he demonstrated with the positive comment, that I was much better prepared to accept the negative. We should be the same with our evaluations so that readers of our comments will pay attention and get as much out of our comments as we can put into them.

Clicking on a rating number only takes a second or two, but you are right that a thoughtful comment takes a lot longer. But in the long run even if you possess all the cards that exist, you would not have to provide more than one comment a day on average. You say you don't have time to post comments, but how many potential customers have the time or the inclination to surf over to your profile and drill down to your favorites?

I agree with your suggestion about displaying more than just our top 8 favorites on our personal profiles, but why stop with 20? Probably very few inquiring minds will take the trouble to browse my profile, but if they do, how much extra space would it take up on Totem's servers to give folks a more complete look into my dossier?

I put the blame on hearing Ray Steven's song "Everybody's Beautiful" a lot. It took me awhile but I finally learned to feign a choking fit when asked by a girlfriend, "Do you think she's pretty?"Here, I am still delighted to come home & find a new beauty has completed her 24 hr. download & is here on my screen. I tend to "not say anything if I can't say something nice" & the girls I don't like just get ignored/deleted.Ha, if I give a girl a 7 that's a real low for me.I have such an imaginative ability to wrap my mind around a fantasy for most of the babes that it's pretty much 9's & 10's ville.I try in my comments to give an expression of their actions & my re actions/feelings.I like reading your comments when you get descriptive. "Nice tits" "Doesn't show pussy" are not interesting/helpful at all!I get into the flow of the show,my words come from being inside the action in my mind! When I write "she twangs her tangy hips" I'm there! My hands tingle with the feel of her! Easy 9's-10's!

I was the guy who first ***** about Marie's teeth. If u have problems with honest comments based on personal taste then u will end up paying many more tickets than you wish. When I first started here I downloaded quite a number of cards which I later deleted just because some guys who just repeatedly said "great card 11/10 all the best" for every card.
Personal taste is just that--personal. Some people like big boobs, some like tiny tits, many don't like silicon. I am pretty phobic about huge teeth, and won't be so shocked (literally) if anyone have just mentioned about it. I see you have already purchased both of Marie's cards, so your taste is very different from mine. For me, giving honest comments is what the comment button is all about.

I appreciate the honest oppinions that might lean to be more critical when, in the opinion of the reviewer, they find it worthy to do so. It's way better than hearing how gorgeous a model is when you're reviewing one specified card of a model.

I mean Vikki or Dorothy Banks are pretty but put Banks in a giant bag and name it "Dorothy Banks - Guinea Sack" and . . .

Well Dorothy might have a nice ASSet or two worth raving over, but for Goodness Sake, she's in burlap! I wanna hear about the quality of the card, Can the girl dance? Pole skills? explicitness levels? quality duration of nudity? (some have hardly any) Interaction factors such as the level of sultry looks and smiles she throws to me, the viewer. And eye contact (I ***** it when they're staring somewhere off stage. There's an Axelle Parker card where she does it alot. It's like her boyfriend was probably there and she's dancing for him).

I can judge for myself if a gal is pretty. . .

And, BTW, yes I LOATHE BURLAP!

Honesty in comments is fine; that's supposed to be the point of them. I've never seen the logic in allowing people who don't own a card to comment on it, and I think that should be changed.

One thing I really do dislike seeing, however, is downright rudeness in comments. I've made a few negative comments on cards I didn't like, but I try to keep it polite at least. Saying a girl doesn't dance very well is one thing, but calling her an "ugly bitch" is another (I've seen it). The models read comments too. If I see a really rude or nasty comment, I report it, and it often tends to be the same names cropping up each time.
