I disagree. I think the rating system should be removed as it unfairly penalises some of the cards. Everybody likes different things and there are some terrible reasons in the reviews for some of the low marks. Such as 0 because its a XXX card. Okay so you don't like XXX shows but don't give it a zero. Same goes if a girl keeps her shoes on throughout so there's no bare feet shown or they don't like the shoes! She's too skinny, too fat, too old etc. Most bizarrely I once saw "I think she's a man!!!" There are some fantastic cards that have a low rating and at first a few years ago I found it very difficult to work out why they were so low. These days I completely ignore the rating and I would suggest to others they do too and make you own judgement about the cards.

Many exclusive cards buyers are not happy at all of the exclusive strategy! .

You only have evidence that a tiny minority of customers (even only small a minority posters to the forum) are unhappy - not many. You may be right, but have no evidence for your claim.

Totem, on the other hand, can see the result that these cards have on their sales and have persisted with them - and even increased the rate at which they offer them so, presumably, they do not see the detrimental effect you talk about.

@GreyWolfNH - in theory you are right, but it only really works if everyone (or at least a large majority) use the same set of criteria to rate the cards. Unfortunately this is not the case and people have been rating cards as 0 simply because there was a ***** feature that they did not like - for example taking shoes off, or keeping them on - or because they (but nobody else) had a failure to download a clip. Also some people give 0 stars to cards that they got as part of a random TGIF pack.

This is further complicated by the fact, provided by @Rex, that over 90% (I think he said 95%) of all ratings were for either five stars or a zero stars, The result is that almost all cards have overall ratings between 4 and 5 (and would all cluster very close to 5 if you could filter out the "anomalous" awards of zero stars) so if you want your own rating scale to be compatible with the overall ratings you can pretty much only use 4, 4.5 or 5 star for most of your collection - this is too coarse grained if you are trying to put your entire collection into some sort of order. If you do decide to use a wider (to me more logical) range of ratings then you pollute the overall ratings and make them even less meaningful than they are now.

Speaking for myself, I am currently watching through every single card I own and giving a rating based on where I think each card stands in relation to my collection as a whole.
I expect this task to take a year or two.

Thank you very much for the add, @lukasr, but - about what I saw there - I have to tell I am quite upset. Two more exclusive cards in the near future? I am starting to be very annoyed by this exclusive marketing strategy. Tolerance of faithful Istrippers supporters and big collectors is going to be severely tested two times more.

• In 2017 we had 1 exclusive card.
• In 2018 we had 2 of them.
• In 2019, so, we already have to see 5 ones! And they could be even more before ending of year.

Even if it boosts sales, this is - not only in my opinion - a bad marketing strategy. Because it tends to *****, more and more, simpathy and support to Totem from most faithful members.

I remember well that, one of last times an exclusive card was released, we had in a thread more of 10 forum pages full of angry comments.
Exclusive cards are bought, yes; but that does not mean they are loved by most members. Such exclusive offers are, de facto, barely tolerated; and testing the tolerance of so many people - which, in every other aspect, supports Totem, love the product, like to spend money on it (and would also like to be simply able to buy what they would like to...) - for 5 times, or more, in an year, could maybe start to be too much.

Oh... and of course the drop dead gorgeous, and stunningly sexy, Ms. Kristina -- nothing INTENTIONALLY inapproropriate I'm sure -- she just got caught in the wind!

Resuming:

• your card is effectively composed of 30 minutes of nice video animations of the model dancing and stripping on your desktop (click on play on "My collection" in order to start them) - and this is the main Istripper product, which can be played how many times you want, but not saved as avi file;
• there are also, for each card, approx. 50 pics of the chosen model stripping down (click on the card and then on the "camera" icon; you will be able to watch them and also to download them as a .zip file);
• there is no avi traditional 30 minutes video;
• there is, though, for each model one or more bonus traditional avi video - each one lasts approx 5 minutes (click on card and then on the icon which is on the right of "camera" one; you will be able to watch it and also to download it).

Each clip is played separately by the iStripper software. For this card there are 19 clips with run times from 27 sec to 4 min, 15 sec. The clip list shows the staging and hotness level of each clip. Depending on your settings one or more clips will be played at random when you select a card. You can also click on a clip to play just that clip.

The second screen shot is from my Mac showing the files that support the same card. The first 19 files match the clip list. The last three files are control files for the software. The files with _it99_ in their name are transition clips used for special effects by the software. These transition clips will play on your screen, but you have only limited ability to make them play. The only way you can play any of these files with with the iStripper software. They are encrypted and have a custom format, so they will not play with any regular video software.

Since exclusive cards (or "Special Event cards") have been introduced, the showroom has temporarily failed as a new exclusive card appeared on the horizon. This has been fixed. In addition, from now on you have the option of previewing the entire set of exclusive cards. Just select "Exclusive cards" from the "Misc" list.

2) in the right hand corner you'll find 6 icons: a person, a score card, a camera, a vidoe sign, a 6 box symbol, & a take symbol
3) click on the vidoe symbol
4) you'll find a number of vidoes a arrow >, not that won. try the downward arrow \/ click this 1. it will download to your Libraries download Directories

I just bought a card with a model for 25 credits. It was said there, there are 35 minutes of video. Where can I download this to my PC, if possible?
In the folder \AppData\Local\vghd\models there are just some unknown files.

I read the first post too quickly, i was thinking that, like some time ago, we could choose some cards, and redraw the rest, all that we want, for one credit each time....but it's just...a redraw ALL CARDS option, so, it's much less interesting. Only one credit spend on this week game...

but the other day I learned a very valuable lesson..
During a family get together, I had to run out to the Store.
I got up and left my Profile logged in...

Well Someone got on my computer while I was away and made over $1500 in Purchases from Ebay and Amazon...
My Browser stored my log in credentials
and this 13 year old ( Slightly slow ) distant family member...
decided to play on the computer..

he was all done when I got back from the store, and no one thought to tell me
they left him go down and play on the computer.

A few days later, packages started to arrive....
and that is how I discovered that I'd been the victim of a 13 year olds' fun and games..

His Mother seems to think he Had no clue what he was doing...
I beg to Differ with her..
Especially when several of the Packages were feminine hygiene products

I seriously doubt, that ordering them, was by Accident...

I think I've got it.
I did not see these entries before, however.
After I changed the hotkey from ALT+W to CTRL+W, the HotKeyMod entry was added.
Then I changed it back to ALT+W.

In iStripper there is the possibility that the girls can be activated or deactivated.

The option can be found in the settings in the section Safe for work.
It is the entry: Keyboard deactivation toggle

I think that this information is also stored in the registry.

This key combination works with or without the GUI (program window).

Is the hotkey to toggle iStripper on/off stored in the registry?

So you have many persons who access and use your Computer other than yourself?

Not really and this is a home machine, but it happens that friends or family might use/borrow it while I'm already logged in. Use an internet browser type of thing. It's not like I'm going to say, well hey, let me log out and you can log in as a guest or something ... well, I guess I could, but that could be awkward.

I'm more wondering what would happen, for example, if the external drive were lost/stolen. Maybe I just need to understand how vghd fingerprints installations. If vghd were executed from a different machine, my guess is it wouldn't run without the registry data ... but what would happen if another machine did have registry entries edited to access the external drive vghd? Let's assume the vghd system currently has one install on record for the account (I've seen two is the max).

As I said previously.
Only the custom location of the Models Folder is handled by the Installer.
The Data folder and the Main VGHD\BIN folder are always installed to the User Profile default locations.

Edit: the newer Installer does also relocate the data folder to the same path as the Models folder.
but the VGHD\BIN folder is still placed in the Default Users Profile.

You have to Manually edit the Paths in the registry if you move the Data folder, and the Bin folder to a different location.
The changes will take place once you re-start iStripper.

If you are on a MAC, you have to edit the Preference file, then reboot the system, as since one of the OS version updates, the Preference files are cached in memory.
Changes made to the Preference file, are not seen by the Application, till the OS is rebooted.
I do believe there is a an apple scripting command that can be used to tell the OS to re-read the Preference file.
but is it not automatic.

If you keep separate User Profiles for the Other Users
they will not have access to your Registry, or your User Profile.
And if you re-locate the folder to an External Drive that is only connected while you are using the PC
they wouldn't have access to the iStripper files and application either.

If this is a work PC and you are not Authorized to install this App
then the risk is your own.. Is your Job, worth the risk of installing it at work?
