Like @stefnev1 I used Golden Ticket to get the SEC. It only cost me 100 credits net.
The progress to the joker though is longer this week. 3500 to play through to the end of the bar.
For me net cost was 850 credits as I won 2650 credits back, so about average net cost I think for a joker.

I'm a lucky guy. I won the SEC of Tatiana Coco by playing the Golden Ticket. At the begining of the game, I had 526 credits, at the end I have 326 credits. I've played 10 times and won 6x50cr.

If anyone wants to try rating their own clips in any way they wish, my Playlist Generator supports this. It also lets you create clip-level playlists and sort them based on your ratings. The amount of work needed to do this is considerable, but that work could be shared among many people.

I think it would be even better if there were Min, Max and Median (or Majority) levels for each clip - plus a user assigned rating (My Level - to continue the M theme). All but the last could be encoded in the file name in the way that has been suggested but it is not so clear that any user assigned value should be handled in this way.

(In passing, I regard it as a ***** design flaw that iStripper encodes data in the file names rather than in a database refering to more arbitrary names, but extending it to cover Min and Max eroticism levels would be a natural way to proceed)

@jclown781 if I understand from your comment that I was being obnoxious, very sorry about that. How ever many cards/clips you amend go carefully, you don't want to stop the girls dancing altogether with an error. It's great how we can all use this App in so many different ways. 👍

@wyldanimal exactly you just explained my whole logic for doing this. Have always been frustrated by the split second rule on these ratings and that can cause me to exclude some of the best teasing clips a lot of shows have and conversely especially in the past few months lower level clips have been very few and far between on most shows. I use the app both ways sometimes you feel like all nudity all the time, other times especially when my wife is with me we like to enjoy how hot the models look in their different dresses, bikinis, costumes and outfits. When you have as many shows as most of us that converse on these forums do it lumps in too many of one with the other so to speak. @wrightsayswow I work from home a lot so I will mostly have the time to update the shows and I am not going to be too obnoxious nor am I going to go too far back. Thanks @TheEmu as well your warning makes logical sense and you always seem to be there to help me when I ask wierd questions so thanks again. Happy Thanksgiving everyone !

There is a (comparitively) ***** issue relating to All the Totem-created fullscreen 'example' scenes.

Many of us have realised this before, but having just gone through them, I thought it worth reiterating,
Without exception, they fail to treat asymmetric clips (those with writing on clothing, an als many more with tattoos) correctly. Example cards which display incorrectly are: Nesty a0236, Alice Saint a1057, Christy White f0899.

The scenes affected are: Background 2D, Bare Elegance, Bikinis, Bloom, Clouds, Fire, Floating Lenses, Halloween, Paris Penthouse Club, Paint, Perforations, Sky Ride, Water, Whisper Club, Xmas and XmasLive. (There may be others as I am not necessarily completely up to date.)

All require a "scale: -1, 1" clause in the main clipSprite clip to offset the display of a mirror image.
Some care must be taken as the amendment must not be made to clips of reflections, as the clause messses up the reflection alignment. This is quite trivial in all but the Xmas and XmasLive scenes in which almost the entire scene is constructed using framebuffers.

I know this has been discussed before, but I thought it worth repeating.

reboot the router

if a clip does not have a hyphen in it, it's an older clip
All current clips with a single Level rating would use that level for both.
So prior clips would not, ALL have to be re-rated.
But could be done on a clip by clip basis.

I don't see the point to do that. What was filming in the clip will not change after changing the level.

I have done this with many Clips myself.
Our Level rating is based on a 1 second Glimpse, will put that clip into the Higher Level , than what 98% of the rest of the clip is.
So for many clips I have down level rated them for myself.

No one else see's what I'm watching,
and if a clip is Majority Level 2, then I want it to show when I select level 2
I don't want it excluded simply because it has 2 seconds that Might be considered level 4.

And conversely, if I select level 4,
that is what I expect to watch.
But many times you watch 2 minutes of level 2 action for a few seconds of level 4.


So for Me, I wish there was a right click option, that would allow me to alter the level
on the Fly.

Humm, Perhaps I write a utility, or add that to my Clip timer.
a Change Level function.

Presently I just jot down a note, and change the clips when I'm done reviewing the card.

And Wyldanimal....great explanation. You must type 100 plus words per minute! I had to look up "Mobo"...thought that was a typo, but a search revealed it as shorthand for mother board. Very interesting as to how Istripper utilizes components.

in the latest Version series, there has been a move to utilize the GPU for desktop rendering.
It currently is in beta and doesn't provide the same performance benefit as does the Full Screen Scenes.

For now, the Desktop mode relies mostly on the CPU and Memory
So the Choice of Mobo, CPU and Memory are More important than the GPU performance.
High, Single Core, Single Threaded CPU Test performance is what you want.

hypothetical example:
two CPUs rated the same speed.
A 12 core, 24 thread CPU might Smoke a 2 core 4 thread CPU in Game performance,
but the 2 Core CPU might Smoke the 12 core CPU in Single Core performance.

Thus the 2 Core would be better for iStripper in it's current configuration.



iStripper is still a 32bit app, and thus can only access at MOST 4GB of Memory
but in Practical Application I'd put this limit closer to 3.2GB to 3.5GB

Each Clip is Fully decoded into Memory as it is played, or Before it is played.
So the Combined total of All clips being Played Must take up Less than 3.5GB of Memory.

720p, 1080p, and 3K, even with 10 clips at a time, stayed within this limit.

But with the Introduction of 4K
6 or More clips depending on clip size, will exceed this limit.
The App does have some built in detection, But if Two or more Clips start at the same time
They will not yet see the Memory being used by the others.
and there is a chance of Overrunning the available Memory and experiencing a crash.

How can you tell how much Memory a Clip is Using?
remove the check mark from Clip Streaming.
Open Task Manager and check the Memory usage by vghd.exe

Start a Clip
if you are above Platinum Level
Pause the clip
Check the Memory usage,
the before and after is how much Memory that clip is using.

If you turn off iStripper, the memory should drop back to about where it was before.

Now if you compare the memory used to the Clip file size, that gives you an Idea of the Compression
of the files.

you should be able to then use that to approximate
the Memory requirements of the other clips.

My current desktop computer is pretty old...eight years I think. But it seems to do a pretty good job of rendering 4K cards. It does struggle with more than two models at once and the "sex on the beach" 4 model card.

My current graphics card is a one gb Nvidia. I see that top of the line graphics cards are 10 or 12 gb. My question: would I notice a step up in 4k quality with a newer card? If so, is there an appreciable difference from say 8 gb to 12 gb? I do have a 4k monitor.

Of course if a user wants to do it they can - but if they step outside of the supported mechanisms then they should be aware that although it may work now there may be problems in areas that they had not thought of and that it may cease to work at any time in the future.

While you can rename the files to change their declared erotic level, which may just abut be useful if you disagree with Totem's definitions, I essentially agree with @stefnev1.

Also note

1. It will badly affect any playlists that use the old names.

2. It is likely to have bad effects, or just get undone, if the card is updated. It certainly will if you ever re-download the card for any reason.

3. Totem may at any time change the system in such a way that it no longer works, or even in a way that the renamed files are not recognised. A similar thing has already happened with the contents of the .xml files. One possibility is that the program may be updated in such a way that no longer recognises renamed clips because they do not match a list of the known clips for a card.

4. It will be ***** if you ever need to refer to any such clip in a post, a bug report or a support call.

Yes,

you can use Folder Explorer and edit the Name of each Clip
the 3rd Digit from the Right controls how the APP see the Level.

Let's use card a0001 as an example

it has a clip with the file name
a0001_64101.vghd
this is a Level 1 clip

If you change the File name to
a0001_64501.vghd
This will become a Level 5 clip


After you have changed the clip names to correct the Levels
you have to do a Rebuild Collection

If you re-download or Check for Updates
the Changes you Made will be lost.
and the card will revert back to Normal.


So Yes, you can Alter the level of a Clip.

PS: you can't change the level of .demo preview clips this way.
only the .vghd clips

I read the question a bit different. Don't think you can actually change the erotic levels of a clip. Maybe if you describe what the purpose for you would be, the answer may already be given above. But since you don't want to start a whole thread I would simply keep it to "no". But then again, I may be corrected.

Yes - all you have to do is access the clip list (the icon is the one furthest to the right at the upper edge of the details page) and un-tick the clips you don't want to see. Then the next time you start the show, it will honour your choice. And if you want to alter it. you can easily just tick and un-tick.

-- it says Users/my user name/iStripper where my user name is correct, but for privacy reasons I'm not wanting to write it here. There are currently no files in that folder of any kind.

Are you sure you have signed on with the correct (old) using name and password? You may need to contact Totem support to be certain.

-- it shows me having 75 cards (both online, where it does not which cards are in my collection, and also when I click on my username in the upper left of the desktop software though there it doesn't show anything in my collection . . . probably because the software seems unable to connect to the server, so it can't download my cards)

How are you trying to sync your collection?

-- In the software, there is a red exclamation next to the down arrow icon in the upper left, and when I click on it there's a message that says, "An error occurred during synchronisation." I've tried connecting only when I have an active VPN, and I've removed the software and turned off the VPN then re-installed and tried to let it connect via normal means. It has never successfully connected (which is probably why it doesn't show the featured, Black Friday, or other menu screens that need web-based content in order to populate.
