I say the XXX option becomes a paid addition to standard iStripper cards. So you would have the introduction (with sound) then the typical iStripper dancing, stripping and teasing (without sound) as a base purchse option, then the XXX content (with sound) with the model in the same outfit on the same card could be an additional purchase for those who want those clips.

This would save time for the production team since they wouldn't have to film extra teasing/dancing, only the additional XXX content for each outfit. There could be more cards produced per model because of time saved needing to film, photograph and edit. There would be less outfits to change, less time in makeup/changing hair styles, etc.

Pricing per Card (outfit):
Basic Striptease = 20 creditsXXX Content = 12 creditsFull Show (Basic+XXX) = 28 credits
The above prices are just random, but the pricing structure used above would be a good incentive for people to buy the whole show to save a few credits versus buying Basic and XXX individually.

@TyRc I like the idea of component cards, I often feel Totem let too much out in one go.
The problem is the model is only there in the Studio for a brief time.
In an ideal world, we could pledge our money in escrow and Totem could wait until the amount to cover fees for comprehensive shows with options was raised.

Good thinking for future though and I agree your minimum pricing structures.

@theEmu, you are spot on. There is nothing to ***** about in the special offers; the offers only add additional value. If you have enough cards to achieve diamond status then you are already getting a discount. I have more than 1/2 the cards so it's rare that a sale card is one I'm interested in or I already have it. I'll not by buy random cards but will pickup cards that I was on the fence on if I see them on sale.

I will add that I think Totem should consider bringing back subscriptions with a 10-20% discount. Personally I have no interest but for those looking who want all the cards or just want to build up their collections it's a fair deal. It's a steady revenue source for totem and the subscriber gets a steady discount.

Those who buy the random card offers then ***** about the cards they get; I don't understand? The terms were clearly stated. If you received at least 1 card that you have marked as a favorite then you have nothing to ***** about? And if you had no cards marked as a favorite ... well what were you thinking?

For me I loved the old format and I also believe the new format is a decent idea to stay true to what iStripper originated as but again I NEED sound for the XXX clips and I also am a big fan of the toys and it seems like you dont find many toy clips anymore. That is really all I am asking for is some sound to the clips and for some more toy play with the girls. I am fine with her stripping normally to get to this point but that is the point in XXX cards really to kind of stand out from the normal stripping to give us a more explicit view of our favorite models.

@Arseneo - I am perfectly happy with whatever Totem offer in the way of special offers, and they very rarely affect me in any way as I normaly already have everything on offer. As a triple diamond member I already get a bigger discount than any of the special offers and any one can effectively get a 50% discount by buying 500 credits at a time. Combining the two gives me a huge overall discount over the nominal card price and I can hardly ***** if I can not take advantage of the special offers - if I got much more then Totem would almost be paying me to take the cards. I would have no complaints if Totem made some special offers that only those with very small collections could take advantage of, something to encourage them to move up to a bigger collection - though there would probably a stream of complaints from some who felt that they had just missed out on such offers.

When I first started collecting I was rather selective about which cards I bought, very often basing my decisions on the style of clothing worn by the performers. But I benefited from what were then called booster packs and, somewhat belatedly, from the subscription service that Totem then offered. The booster packs in particular tempted me to buy some types of cards that I probably would not then have bought as single cards, themes like Nurses and Cops as well as showing me models that I had not previously seen or appreciated. It turned out I was happy with what I got from the booster packs and bought more of the same. The special offers now serve the same purpose and, at least in part, encourage people to try new things to see if they like them or not. Of course some of the special offers, like the old booster packs, also tempt people to buy even more than they otherwise would of those types of cards that they already know they like.

I do find it amusing that some people seem to think that all special offers should allow them to pick the cards themselves, i.e. be equivalent to a price reduction on all cards. I think there has been at least one that was a general price decrease and there certainly was one that offered a 20% bonus on any credits that were bought, but I can not see that such offers would be the norm otherwise what would be the point of the normal way to buy cards.

ok guys, i think it's enough dreaming how to fit the weekend sales to all wishes, let's the team thinking about it, and we remember that since July 2014 we just waiting our discount levels for x4 diamonds (2000+ cards), x5 diamants (2500+), and x6 collectors (3000+), and so on ;) we loyal and patiently waiting. and we continue constantly purchase the cards by the way ;)

@EverthangForever - OK. I see your point about "freebie card individuals". I think that Totem have done something about multiple voting because of the red tick showing where I voted and the fact that I no longer am offered a chance to vote (unless that just means the poll is no longer active). I am always loathe to restrict voting to any subgroup because the subject of the poll may affect some of those outside the "interrested" subgroup in ways that the proposer of the limitation has not thought of, but I do accept that voting rights in any iStripper poll should probably only come after some minimum number of purchases - as long as its a small number.

@TheEmu, all I am saying is there is a case for restricting such voting to members with at least 2 cards,
Otherwise the poll results for 600 odd votes could be spurious. At the moment it does appear to be a
statistically significant outcome in favor of the 'New' istripperxxx format even with these numbers.
However that assumes Totem have put checks in place to prevent multiple voting or voting by 22 million
freebie card individuals.

well it wasn't too bad, I picked the only gloria xxx card and then 2/4 of the others cards was either a model I liked or had one of my favorite tags.

For those who do not understand by what I and EverthangForever mean by the lack of statistical significance when there are relatively few votes or comments. Consider the case where there are 25 votes for a proposal and 20 against. When counting independant events, such as the votes for the proposal, the measure of uncertainty in the number is equal to its square root and variations of up to rather more than one standard deviation are expected if you repeat the experiment. A 25/20 split is quite consistant with a true ratio of 20/20 or even 20/25 if the same poll was repeated with a different random selection of voters taking part. To be fair, it is also consistant with a true ratio of 30/20 or 30/15. The only way to reduce the uncertainty is to increase the number of voters, in this case by a factor of 10 or more before you could place any sort of reliance on the result.

@kutta - I would find it rather surprising if Totem were to make special offers that simply discounted cards on people's individual wish lists. That would be equivalent to saying pick some cards you like and we will let you have them cheap, which is in turn much the same as just offering a discount on everything - which they have done and which to me makes more sense done drectly than under the disguise of tying it to your wish list.

It seems to me that one of the points of special offers in general is to encourage people to purchase a wider variety of cards than those that they already have, partialy just to sell a few more cards but also in the hope that you find that you do like them and buy more of a similar type at the full price. The inclusion of one or more cards from your wish list in the offer then acts as a sweetener to encourage you to buy the other cards.

The only problems I see with the special offers are the reports that people are not understanding what the offer actualy is and that others are saying that there is no "confirm purchase" button.

@TheEmu agree statistically these polls need way larger sample pools & numbers of unique posts to show signifigance.

About this poll:

A few years back, there was quite a bit of ***** of polls... Not by Totem, but by certain members.
I think it was back in the days when a member could get a free card just for installing the software & some members
had many many multiple accounts under different names. I don't know if Totem since put a check in the software to counter this.

The % result of voting in this poll hasn't changed much from day one, as approx 500 votes were very quickly placed at 71% favouring the New format xxx. For a poll conducted over a weekend you would think we would be seeing all the USA member & other voting continuing to flow in, but where is it ? It sits at 29% to 71% from the start.
Only Totem know who voted and whether there is more than one model in the accounts that did vote. Perhaps if such polls were conducted instead in a >'Silver or more' only thread, the results may be albeit smaller but more accurate.

@KatzPaw - I am sure you are not making things up, its just that you and I differ on what we regard as clear opinions.

@EverthangForever - Certainly I am biased, but in my posts I tried to make it clear when I am refering my own personal preferances (which is for less XXX content even in XXX cards) and when I am trying to point out that although some want a lot more XXX content that it is not clear that this is the overwhelming wish of the majority (which some in other threads seem to have claimed). The only data we have with reasonble statistics is the vote in favour of the new XXX style rather than the old style, there simply are not enough comments to be statisticly significant. I admit that what few there are have a (small) majority in favour of more XXX despite my initial impression that it was the other way round, but I suspect that in part this is because people who think they are loosing something are more likely to comment than those who are happy with the change.

I do think that a good case can be made for having a wider variety in the degree of XXX content. I would not go so far as wanting to split the XXX cards into two or more categories but do think that more information could be made available before purchase of a card as to the types of clips and the number of each type that it provides, Currently there is an icon showing the maximum hotness level, this could be supplemented with a pop up summary of the clip types, the pop up could be on the hotness level icon or on the card or on the girls image on a carousel. I would also be in favour of spliting the X-rated hotness level, but its probably too late to consider that because it would require recategorising a lot of clips if you want to keep things consistant.

I just feel like these envelope sales don't live up to their potential. With the new wishlist system that was added a few versions back, it just doesn't make sense to me to offer cards at random. But maybe it's just me and I'm biased. I know the team here tries to target a broad range of crowds with these offers, I get that, but I feel like more people (small & large collectors) could take advantage of this offer by picking randomly from cards they know they'll like - like the wishlist!

I don't think that is true. There have been many sales that were targeted equally at all customers. I recall costume sales that offered a discount on a specific list of cards. In many cases I already owned most of those cards, but I could have bought any that I didn't own at a discount. There was a sale on all new cards for a week. That benefited everyone. There have been two recent sales that allowed anyone to buy credits at a discount. I took advantage of both and I will argue that they were aimed more at existing customers who buy a lot of cards than at new customers.

Now I will agree that the bulk of the sales are aimed at enticing new customers to expand their collections. That makes sense to me because new customers offer more potential profit to Totem than existing customers who have already bought a lot of cards. I have never bought the grab bags nor did I buy the subscriptions when they were offered even when my collection was small. They just didn't suite my needs, but I can see why Totem continues to offer them.

You and I get a 45% discount on every card we buy! Totem doesn't have to do that. That is their way of rewarding continuing good customers. Add in the sales we can take advantage of and I think we are getting a pretty good deal.

These sales have always been more focused on members without very many cards. A way to allow them to build up their collection and save a few credits in the process. Yet, people with larger collections are always ***** and acting as if they think the sales should be for them

I wouldn't say it's "*****", it's more like advising. Why only cater sales to people with smaller collection, regardless of which cards are being given out the user is still purchasing FIVE cards at one time vs. none because he/she doesn't want to take a chance getting cards they don't like. I would put my money on a wager that allowing people to pick five cards at random from their wishlist would lead to more cards being added to wishlists and more evelopes purchased, because I know I would.

As I have mentioned in the past, I would really welcome some recent ethnic diversity here and not just girls of African decent but of Asian, Indian, Hispanic and any other race as well. For me, they are all welcome.

Caucasion girls are beautiful as well but a steady diet of them gets stale after awhile imho.

Not sure though, how many women of color there are in this sort of business, to choose from in the European area.

I am betting that the pool of available/willing talent is pretty small.

Early on, there were several women of color and of Asian decent here but not very many in the last few years.

Would love to see that corrected soon and often, if possible.

For slow motion & pause, go into settings, make sure that advanced settings is checked, scroll down to controls, click on contextual menu & select slow motion & pause from there (pic 2)

If you go to controls (contextual menu) in the settings, you should be able to add those actions! Enjoy!

I had a quick question for anyone that might know the answer. I recently hit Platinum status (yay!) and was really looking forward to unlocking the slow motion, pause and Virtuagirl classic access.

For some reason, I can't seem to locate any of these things! I don't know if I'm just being a fool, but does anyone know how to activate slow motion and/or pause during the show? Or where I go to browse the Virtuagirl classic section?

I've noticed I'm getting the 30% discount and extra sub-forums access,but that's it thus far. Any guidance on this topic would be wonderful!

My take on XXX Content is that the format is less important than the quality of the performance.. Performers such as Gloria,, Sybil or Lola are so beautiful , natural and sexy, that whatever they ar doing comes across as spontaneous and erotic, while in others actions may seem contrived and lacking spontaneity. However I am not saying that formats are unimportant, and I certainly prefer longer takes.
