At least no one can speculate today that low destructive ratings like last weeks caused her not-showing-up--she was the only one with a rating above 9--even rating is utterly pointless for a purchase of a show--i feared a lot more for Laura because she was mistreated as a seven that she might be forgotten and thought Jenny should be safe..
Lol Carie almost sold out while i have just typed that.

Figures. The only one I was interested was Jenni. Ah well, maybe I will spot her sometime later or wait until next month when I buy new tix.

I have a rather curious habit of putting all the ones I want in a list on wordpad and when I buy new tickets, I will pick 5 or so that I will pay 2 tix for and the rest of the tickets are for special offers only.

It (Jenni's new card) didn't show. Damn' missed Carie, but she wasn't high on my list anyway. Real bummer for Jenni.

Either Totem has decided to ignore blondes or they've decided not to put up the second new card each week as special.

Is Totem trying to piss off it's membership? I don't recall ever seeing Nicca offered as special last and now Jenni Gregg's not coming up on special this week. It seems that Totem is changing how they offering up there new cards coming out on Friday?

Nah - I guess more like 30 minutes.

I was on at 16:36 - Laura - Psycedelic with 52 tix left

Next time I got on at 17:31 - Davon Kim with 392 tix left

must have missed the card by 5 minutes or something like that.

Totem seems focused on new members. If they keep taking the fun out of their site that’s all they’ll have. They repeat the “special” cards so often it takes them 8 to 10 hours to sell now, so that’s less 1 ticket purchases and now they aren’t even offering all the new cards. Not to mention one of the “new” cards is not new and only 19 minutes long. I doubt it’s a coquincedence they’re offering a new girl and an old card for special and the girls with established fan bases they are not allowing to go on sale. Seems they want every card to be bought for 2 tickets. Repeat customers and referrals are the backbone of any long term business plan. Disappointed and frustrated, not so much.

@mrlook,, you are right, I would prefer if Totem spent their time and energy on this VG site, which is successful, and make it the best possible. Instead they keep trying to branch out into unchartered waters and into the realm of other everyday porn sites. I don't think their HustlerGirls and VGuys sites are doing much and I do not have confidence that Deskbabes will either.

I ***** to purchase a card just to see how it is and then delete it if not happy with it. I don't mind paying 2 tickets for a girl I like and want to have in my collection, sure I will get one for 1 ticket special if it fills in a gap. For one I really, really like and want such as Krystel,, the sky is the limit as to how many tickets I will pay,,, lol

Totem is a business not a fan club. Die hard fans alone will not keep the company going since many fans have topped off and just spend a couple tickets per week from calendar and/or specials on friday. They have our money. They need people buying cards for 2 tickets each and getting 1 month subscriptions. New customers.

Branching into new sites (vguy, deskbabes, etc.) does not take away from the quality of virtuagirl. Being here a long time means shows start to look alike and the bar gets raised for what we see as a good show. The first group to get "bored" are those that saw explicit clips watered down and faded. This is an adult site. It is porn- softcore porn. Nomatter how you slice it is is still porn. Tasteful and high quality but still softcore porn.

Deskbabes will be a huge hit for totem. Lesbian action on your desktop = success. No one else has that. Something new.
Saying porn is oversaturated market is like saying video games is oversaturated market- they aren't.

Quality hasn't decreased.
When the shows are pretty much the same and the girls almost all come from the same country with simular looks for the blondes, brunettes, etc. the only difference is costume and the girl's style (which is dance around pole, writhe on floor, strip, and smile - except lilianne tiger who never smiled). Explicit behavior adds spice but in the end it is more of the same.

After 500 cards the bar is raised. At 1000 cards the bar will be even higher. At 1500 cards this site will be very different than it is now to continue with success.

The quality may overall be consistent but there lies the problem. If Totem were not branching out with the other sites, they would have the time and enregy to improve this one. The company I work for has weekly meetings in which they're always trying to improve the quality of the product. And, like Totem, the product they offer is one of a kind. We must remember too that Totem, from what I understand, has a very small employee base and obviously, with each new product, they have less time to devote to the preceding ones.

Thus, although the quality of this site may stay consistent, I doubt they'll have the time, means or energy to improve this particular product. It's either one truly outstanding product or multiple mediocre ones and that's how I at least see it. And for once, I REALLY hope I'm proven wrong.

There is nothing to suggest that virtuagirl quality is down; it is just the same thing day in and day out. Majority czech girls stripping and performing on your desktop with some being able to dance. Eat steak 3 times a day for a year and it is no longer exciting and nomatter how different you prepare the steak it is more of the same. Same taste, different dressing. But it is still quality steak.
Expand the menu of what you offer.
Even restaraunts expand their menu.

if you don't expand it doesn't mean you would make your current product better. what is better? The girls for any product will be attractive and sexy, costumes are not a quality issue- they are taste, and which girls to offer each week is a choice not a quality issue. they could have 100 cards in que yet someone decides which 3 to offer each week. They aren't filming the cards and releasing them that friday. These cards have been done a long time.

Varierty of girls here may lack but the quality is excellent.

I just believe the present system is flawed. You have a threshold of 8.70 to get on as a special but the 8.70 can be put in place by people who don't own the card.

Then you have the fixed 400 quantity, put a girl who's featured regularly as a special and it gets plain old boring because she sits there for hour after hour.

What's the answer, well given the option I would put every card into the "special mix" and make it a time & quantity mix, say a limit of 250 cards or 4 hours, whichever comes first.

We might find that a highly rated card would sell the whole 250 in 15 minutes and equally we might find that a low rated card might take the full 4 hours to only sell only 50 but crucially nobody would know when the changeover would happen thus encouraging us all to log in regularly and isn't that what Totem want?

@Slayyer . . . I don't know, in essense if your'e responding to me. If so, I never stated that the quality is down (at least in this thread). It's just consistent.

Czech Republic II. Slender white girls dancing on my desktop with an occassional proverbial ethnicity bone thrown in to keep some of us at bay.

I look at all the cool suggestions ranging from the type of candidates to strip here, costume suggestions, software fixes but with little to no response. One summation on my part is that they are so busy prepping the new product that the type of suggestions users have here which could lead to a better one are ***** to fall on somewhat deaf ears. Not to say that Totem is apathetic to these suggestions, they probably are completely swamped, trying to get the new product up and running. So, in the meantime, everything on this end stays blase and stale. And this could be the perpetual trend with Totem now having a heavier workload.

I agree completely with ClevoDemente, my thinking exactly.

I unlike ClevoDemente, however am not so certain the quality has stayed stable. Looking at the older cards which in my humble estimation were superior to the clones being produced as newer cards now. I am likely too fussy and will never have all the cards and do not want them all but I used to purchase the older cards nearly without exception rapidly and did not care if on special or not. However, after getting ***** on some newer disappointing cards I am hesitant to even get one of many of these girls to have a look.

I totally agree, BAfsb. I think that's a great idea!

Of course, I'm sure there are several other ideas that would be similarly welcomed by all of us that are getting tired of seeing the same faces over and over again on special. I wonder if Totem could place the girls in tiers, say newer cards within the 1st week or so in one tier, the most popular older cards in another and the remaining cards forming the 3rd and final tier. Then, we could purchase 2 from the "new" tier and 4 from each of the other two tiers. That way we'd be getting 6 of the "hotter" cards for the price of 5 but we'd also be able to pick and choose and take a chance on some of the lesser-valued ones.

A renewed membership costs the same as a new membership and tickets cost the same if you’re buying your first bunch or your 20th. Little incentives like selling the first 400 of each new card for one ticket is good business as fast as they sell it is obvious others are buying them for 2 tickets, plus giving something your customers are excited about and look forward to helps referrals and renewals. Taking away little incentives, like an actual variety in the specials offered or all the new cards on sale for the hour they last, all that will do is stop people from looking forward to the new releases, if they will always be 2 tickets it won’t matter when you see what is new. Same with the specials there is no real reason to check the site for what is on sale. Since the cards you get with your subscription aren’t always the cream of the crop or even cards you’d want it’s fun to have specials and new cards on sale. Humans are hunters, take that away and we find something else to hunt.
