There are a couple in particular I have in mind who consistently get amongst the highest ratings in vghd and also seem to have considerably more cards than most. Both are very pretty girls (although no more so than most on this site), but their performances are at best no more than a little above average in my view.

I won't say which girls I'm thinking of for the moment since I'm interested to see what others think.

Well, i know what girls you mean...
just tonight i did create an image for the model with blond hair and was thinking: "Wow; she really is a better performer as some other model"
The other one is far overrated in my opinnion because her movements are not spectaculair or more special as the other girls; she's not bad but there are a lot of models who do a better show.

If your thinking of the same blond as me, I tend to disagree. Lovely looking girl, but I find her perfomances a bit boring to be honest. Totally agree with you about the other one (again if its the same one I'm thinking of - LOL!)

Meh, guess I'm going to be first man here and actualy NAME overrated models.

For me it would be:
Vicky S/Golden River -just medium-level show, nothing realy special, Romantic Suite rating is fine though
Natali Blond - I just somehow do not enjoy her shows. Not that I dont like her, another decent-and-nothing-more model.
Zuzana/ Fatal Kiss - compared to Striking Beauty or Venus College, this show is just bad.
Mai - now, Im really great fan of asian girls, but there are much more cutier than this one. She's still second asian for me on this side tho. Plus, she looks so much better on pics. It makes shows disappointing.

On the other side is Jana Cova. On "Lust" card she looks like a zombie, but in the show itself she's godlike.

Interesting! I have to say I quite enjoyed Golden River, although I wouldn't say it's absolutely brilliant.

Not saying anything about who I was thinking about yet, but I do tend to agree with most of what you say.

I totally agree with you about Jana Cova/Lust, by the way - excellent show.

I can't disagree more. In my opinion Aria Giovanni is one of the most beautiful and sexy women who has ever walked the face of the Earth and my absolute favourite on vghd.

Still, if we all had the same tastes it would be a boring world.

Big women just don't appeal to me and as you say fortunately we all have different tastes but I am surprised that she gets such high ratings.

Aria Giovanni is not a "big" woman. She is very shapely and curvaceous with a proper "hour glass" figure. She certainly looks a lot healthier than quite a few overly skinny models I've seen. Aria Giovanni if anything is underrated on vghd in my opinion.

To be honest, i haven't found many overrated girls. Some shows are somewhat disappointing, but the same girl perform better in others. Guess if you find the model appealing, you tend to ignore a lot of things when rating high and vice versa. If any, i would say the most overrated girl i've encountered yet is Liliane Tiger, she's so cold and uninterested, that even her low ratings don't tell the tale. She belongs to the bottom and only her beauty keeps her slightly over there. :)

Aria Giovanni is NOT a fat woman. Far from it.

I do not believe any girl at vghd (or vg2) is (or was) over weight; not even a little.




Why say a girl is overrated or underrated?
It seems more appropriate to me that you simply state that you like a girl more (or less) than the rating suggests.

Are users still able to rate cards WITHOUT owning them?
Are users able to rate cards WITHOUT even being a member (have no account)?




I never pay any attention to ratings; they are totally meaningless to me. The comments on cards are much more useful.

Well...Looking just at the top 50 cards I'd say...drum roll please:

1- Melisa - the "it girl" of the moment, for me she just lacks the erotic performance skills that some of the other leaders have (i.e. Morgane). Deserves a good rating but not where she is now. Note, I haven't seen her most recent show.
2- Jenni Gregg- really beautiful, but goes way, way overboard on the cuteness factor. I also find her facial expressions a turn-off.
3- Eufrat & Nicky Case - They're both hot, but I haven't seen one perf from them that I would rate high. The ratings here must be based on looks, because to me they're not really strippers.

P.S. I give tens across the board to Vicky S (has the chops to be starring at the Crazy Horse in Paris) and Natali Blond (old-school stripper body like Morgane, great explicit clips).

Rereading my post here, I noticed something I wrote that could be ***** or misinterpreted.

I said: "...like a girl more (or less) than the rating suggests".
What I mean here is that a member may disagree with the overall rating.

No need to say a girl is overrated if you do not like a girl (or like her less than the current overall rating) and she gets a 9 or higher.
Opposite is true of low ratings.

The thing that gets my goat about Liliane Tiger is the very large tattoo on her left arm apart from that she is a very pretty girl with a trim and shapely figure although I would have loved to see her in at least one show with her hair down. The nearest she ever gets to it is Inferno.

I think the problem is that Totem do actually take notice of the ratings. The girls with higher ratings tend to have more cards than most, since they have been asked back to do more sessions. The two girls I'm thinking of, in my opinion, are not any more deserving of this than many other girls on the site who are just as good looking and frankly inject more interest into their shows.

Perhaps saying they were overrated was a little misleading. What I meant was that they perhaps don't deserve to be consistently higher rated than other girls for practically every card they do, irrespective of the quality of their performance.

As for Liliane Tiger - I agree that she isn't a very good performer, but I think her ratings are for the most part low enough to reflect this.

The problem with raitings it's just as JonC001 described. Everybody can rate even if not owning the card or even without being a member. Overrating or underrating seems to me directly related to that, it's simply based on a first impression and the personal taste weights a lot more than in those who actually saw the show and have access to the bonus content.

BAfsb Being a fan of tattoos myself, i don't feel turned off by that. Totally agree with you about the hair and also i conceded that she's very attractive. She performed great in several hardcore movies i saw, but the performances here are not so special.

Just to extend the conversation, i think Ting put excellent performances and she's rated lower than Liliane. That's kinda unffair to me, but maybe i'm overrating the performances aspect. (:

I do agree that the rating system being open to everybody including non-members is a major part of the problem here, and it might be a good idea if Totem restricted rating rights to users who have actually bought the card in question or at least downloaded the demo.

Another aspect I think, is that many users probably don't place enough importance on the actual performance, and are simply satisfied by seeing pretty girls getting naked. This is probably the reason that more explicit shows tend to get rated highly, even in cases where the girl doesn't actually put much effort into the performance.

I'm completely with you on the enjoying the performance aspect, and I think the rating of a card should strike a balance between the girl's visual appeal and her performance. I ***** we are in the minority in that respect, however.

Here is a thought about ratings:

1) rate based on beauty
2) rate based on dancing technique
3) rate based explicitness
4) rate based on clothing worn
5) rate based on shape of body
6) rate based on eye contact
7) rate based on name/stardom
8) rate based on country of origin




All users can rate a card (they may or may NOT own) such as the above list suggests.
Users can even rate based on literally anything.

a) boobs too big?
b) boobs sag a little?
c) boobs too small?
d) too many tattoos?
e) too many piercings?
f) is she shaved?
g) is she blonde?
h) does she have long, flowing hair?
i) does she trip/stumble at any time in a performance?
j) is her ass too fat?
k) bad shoes?
l) is she smiling?
m) is she flat-chested?

What do you think about this? I am not asking who is rating who what. That does not matter to me. The point is that Totem allows for a completely random system.

For instance, you rate a card based on the girl's performance.
Another user rates that same card based on looks.
Still another user rates that same card because she plays with herself.

See what I mean? Totally random. This is a pointless system to me.




Feel free to add to either of the above lists.

JonC: I appreciate that you Love lists, as Do Others, but ther is an Inherent Danger in Being OverAnalytical !!!
Whatever System is in Place there will always be Weak points in it, and at the end of the Day Anyone who Feels the Urge to Comment/Rate will do so, based on How they feel at that precise moment ( and may Well Change that Opinion After ) !!
Bottom Line for Prospective Purchase:

If indeed a person who does not "own" the card is allowed to comment on it and give it a rating then that is plainly ridiculous and renders the whole rating system a farce.

Just a little precision. You can currently rate a card without owning it. However, you have to buy a card to leave a comment.

Maybe a better rating system would be to rate the card as either positive or negative when you leave a comment on it. i.e. a binary rating so to speak. Then the percentage of positive ratings could be displayed for the card.

I personally think that Chems is extremly overrated. She's pretty decent in the "hot" factor, but her shows are just a step above from boring me to death. :|

@sexyfire1790; well ~ that's your privat rating and a little bit hard to say if only see 2 of the 6 fullshows.
Chems is by far underrated and i'm sure you would be agree after see all her shows.

Overated, underated. . . this is what makes it all interesting. Our perceptions of beauty and the performances of each dancer . . . (which is a term I use loosely)

In terms of the ratings for the actual shows, it would be nice to veer away from the actual girl's appearance due to most of us being able to make that initial perception on our own. And although the appearance will indeed influence our decision to purchase/not purchase a show, it would really assist if the actual card quality was rated upon, at least as much as the model's appearance.
