"Best seller" is a well known and very common English idiom which means best sold item.

It is a well known term - but one without any well known definition (quite a common feature for terms used for marketng purposes). Just what does "best selling book" mean ? If we took the name of this forum literally as meaning the cards that sold the most during the year then a card put on sale in December would have little or no chance of being a best seller for that year (but might be one for the next year except that it is ruled out because it was released too early to qualify for that year).

I can remember a case where a record (Stranger On the Shore by Acker Bilk) outsold all others in the charts over two years but was not one of the best sellers for either year because it was released in October 1961.

As with @Dorsai6 's Playlist Generator this Downloader provides very useful functionality that should, in my opinion, be provided by iStripper itself.

I would love to see iStripper have the ability to automatically download the photosets and bonus videos when downloading a card. Furthermore it would be very convenient if when doing this it did so to locations known to the program itself so that, for example, it could provide a slideshow from the card's photoset as a background when playing that card.

I use now and it works. The problem is that all the images are together. It takes a little effort to get them arranged on folders. The problem is that once they are in folders, it will no longer be possible to check with the app which files you have downloaded and which you didn't.
I must remember the number of the girl, not the name of the girl. 😜

Gotcha... so it really has nothing to do with winning the girl you picks card at all then? its just pick a person and see how you do basically (no different then the other scratch off games...played the same way....)

Hi @lukaszr, this is a great tool. I really like the option to create subfolders for the videos of each model. Is there any way for you to also be able to put the images in subfolders for each model? I don't know if this is possible, but it would be a great enhancement.

The option to download by .vpl file is also an excellent feature.

I said this in a humorous way of course, because it is obvious now that this is not the choice of totem. As far as model proposals are concerned, we know what that gives as a result. So I go to other sites to find my happiness and spend less here. Here is the insignificant result for totem, of course. Maybe they earn more like this if they don't sell a lot of this type of cards?

@Philours I cannot recall many being suggested here or on Discord. I'm working from memory here, I have not just checked, so I could be wrong. If you know some tell the Totem team. May be they have tried to find some. We never really know until they turn up in the studio or in the store.

I have 13 of the first 20. Purchased or received while playing. Don't forget the very popular Advent calendar which already gives you some of this top 20. So XXX or not, Cosplay or not, buy what you like, the rest doesn't matter. Finally note that there is no black girl in this ranking! And that's serious!😀😀

I'm not sure about the comments regarding the amount of cosplay outfits in the top 20 - by my count there were only the three erotic parodies - which is how Totem defines the cosplay.

So many cosplays / nonsensical costumes... The world is doomed!

The script uses a user name (login) and user ID to connect to the iStripper server. Without it, it would not be possible to download any files, because it would not be possible to determine if the user has the right to download anything. This is exactly the same method that iStripper app uses.
The login and user ID are read from Windows registry. This data is saved temporarily in header.txt file, in the "temp" folder (a folder created automatically in script's install directory). The txt file is created before each new file is downloaded, then it is immediately deleted.
The login and user ID are not sent anywhere except the iStripper server.

The script has open code. Most files can be opened in Notepad. You can open it and investigate to see what's hidden under the hood.

Anyway, as @muttonjeff wrote, using the Downloader is by your choice.

If they are based on short term initial sales then they are like the "hit parade" and may not reflect the long term sales whereas if they are based on total sales during the year then a bias towards the cards that were released towards the start of the year would be expected.

The relevance of Simpson's Paradox is that the trends shown in whatever (in this case unknown) sub-groups are used to determine the "best sellers" may not reflect the overall trend - I think they probably do but the data we have been provided with does not rule out the possibility that opposite is true.

That paradox was probably generated by fact hit parades were based on weeks or very short periods, and trends about pop do change - as everyone knows - estremly quickly, while a classical musical release was more likely to get lower but more stable sellings during the year.
But, in this case, we precisely have the "long selling" ranking, which looks to totally confirm that, in recent times, XXX released are globally the most sought of - even if, at time of this ranking, they were not yet at all the majority among 2021 releases.

When this happens, the overall trend might even appear to be the opposite of the trends in each group.

I can get what you point, but I don't find so relevant here. I mean, it can be also said that if - for exemple - "ordinary" card lovers would start to buy less XXX cards, but the sales of such cards would still continue to grow (which might already be the case), company would not be likely to reduce the number of XXX releases anyway - since they will almost certainly tend to take more in account global sales than the preferences of a single group of users. So, the overall trend is quite likely to be one which counts the more here.

Correct - but it does not follow from that if the best selling cards all come from the same category then that category is what most people find desirable. A simple example is often seen in elections Consider an election in which there are three candidates, A, B and C where A and B appeal equally to the same set of people and candiate C appeals to all others. In this case a three way election might result in C winning in a 30-30-40 split but in two way elections against either A or B candidate C would loose with a 60-40 split.

There is also Simpson’s paradox where trends that appear within different groups disappear when data for those groups are combined. When this happens, the overall trend might even appear to be the opposite of the trends in each group.

It's a fact that most successful cards of 2021 were XXX and also a fact that on 2021 XXX shows were quite far to be the most released yet... so it's not true that best selling card come from most common variety. Best selling cards come from whatever most people find desirable.

If you are referring to my post then I should point out that I was not suggesting in any way that the XXX cards were not the most popular (and explicitly stated that I thought that they were). The example i gave was to show that the obvious conclusions are not always correct and was triggered by the post before mine that argued that best selling cards would automatically tend to come from the most common variety. There is some truth in that view but, like the example i gave it is not something that can be assumed - though in the case of the iStripper XXX and non-XXX I suspect it is in fact true. The fact you refer to is I think quite strong evidence, but it is not hard proof.

The point used against fact XXX cards are the most bought and coveted, which has been brought on by "ordinary" card lovers in another thread, where such a discussion has been labeled as offtopic by Mods - ("people will simply tend to buy what is more available") does prove exactly the opposite thing they would want to: since, in 2021, the large majority of cards released was still ordinary - but the most sold ones were, by far, XXX ones. As it can be seen on this official thread.

Just wanted to say 'thank you' to iStripper / Totem team. This has been the most rewarding event since ive started using this service. I am a very 'frugal' user. I only add credits when the reload event is active and then I sit on them for awhile till cards come out for girls I enjoy like Veronica Leal, Belka, Christy White etc or there's an interesting event like Lucky Star.

I saw that Christy White was one of the options for Lucky Star so I used 125c to buy some cards and press my luck with Christy. I managed to reroll those same 125c over and over and over and managed to get like 4 Gift Cards and 4 or 5 Event cards. I didn't manage to get the Veronica Leal card I wanted, but I did manage to get some good ones as well as remain net neutral on what I actually put in. I started with 540c and im currently sitting at 535.30 even after getting all those rewards for playing.

I get that not all events will be the same and maybe Christy White just happened to be my Lucky Star, but this felt like the most rewarding experience ive had since I have started using the platform -- so thank you! 😊

Now if only Veronica Leal, Lexi Belle and Coco de Mal would come back to play.. 😍

I dont get it, they should rework the xxx label, some cards are great with xxx with alot of strip/dance and some are just MEH with tons of table and dildo, But personaly I havent watch a single mastrubation clip ever. It is not for me. but these days most cards are xxx so the option to not buy the xxx cards are not there IMO

I remember there was a time when so many XXX cards only had Table clips and some of the outfits used were therefore totally ***** in those shows. Several made comments in the forum about this or in the shows comments.

I just checked all the cards above and only one is all table (Eve Sweet & Sasha Meow f0738) and the trio card (f0922) has only one standing clip, but it is at least 5 minutes long. Most other XXX cards now seem to have at least 10 minutes of non-table clips and some much more. So something for everyone me thinks and thanks iStripper team for the change. 👍

I disagree with everyone until evidence is produced that proves that the best sellers list is based on actual credits used by members to purchase a particular card.
Currently there is no evidence to disprove that the best sellers list does not include the cards won by members in games of chance where the member has no control over the prize won.

If Eve Sweet does another take in the future, she should do a cosplay of Black Widow. She kinda resembles Scarlet Johanson.

Personally I think she looks more like Kate Beckinsale particularly in the Underworld series of films..

In reality things will be a rather more complex than either of the above.

For example, if there are equal numbers of customers for two varieties of card but one variety is common and the other is rare then those preferring the common variety will have plenty of choice and spread their purchases over them whereas those preferring the rarer the rarer variety will have less choice and will therefore concentrate their purchases on these cards. In the simple case where equal numbers of each variety are sold it is the rarer cards that are then the individual "best sellers" and in general this boost to the sales of the rarer cards will persist and can lead to the poorer selling variety dominating the "best seller" list. I do not claim that this concentration/dilution effect is is the explanation for the XXX/non-XXX card ratios (far from it, I think the XXX cards are truely the more popular even though I much prefer the non-XXX performances), only that matters are more complex than they first appear.

bit ***** by this one... do you win the card of the model in the special area? or an SEC (which is not the model you choose to play for?) SO if you scratch the two and win credits or whatever.. but then scratch the bonus or third thing to scratch... it says you lose... if and when it says you win.. do you win the card of that model you picked to try for or do you win an SEC? which is probably not the model.... and if it is an SEC, what is the point of "picking" the model from the best of? not understanding this game this time around.... all i know is i have played it 4 times and lost 3 of 4 with one breaking even so thats enough losing for me..... not a fan of this type of game for this many credits......

I am quite happy where things are; however change is also good. IStripper is constantly changing based on feedback and purchases.
When I joined slightly over fourteen years ago, xxx did not exist on VirtuagirlHD and DeskBabes did not yet exist. Certain cards had a brief finger insertion (never a dildo) and this was considered xxx for very few clips. Marie, Alizee, and Sharka Blue are three girls I can remember having clips like that in 'a' (VirtuaGirlHD) cards. For a long time only 720p cards existed; now we have three higher resolutions (and 480p).

Also, I am now buying all new cards except those of Eva Brown and Jessica Night, and also Ayako Fuji whose cards are all released now. So, Totem Entertainment must be doing something right to please me.

I very much like (not quite love) cosplay. I have 23 such cards (based on the cosplay tag) in my collection, such as:
