Woot! Finally caught Melisa on the third go around. Almost missed this offering by ***** again too.

I'm just hoping that her other two cards come on special too. I've been waiting for the one in that black bikini and the one in the white dress. I really want my Melisa-collection to be complete :)

Rather surprising 599 Jenni Gregg's Latex Party has only appeared once and then it was while Europe was *****. I'm not too bothered as it will be with me very shortly on my subscription but it must be annoying for the great majority of Totem customers who are in Europe.

I mean the new cards are release around noon CET.
Well those who aren't retired or unemployed are at work in Europe at that time. And for the americans this is either early morning (6:00AM) or deepest night. The only ones that are lucky are the eastern asian and australian customers.
And the europeans that can acess the site at work or are retired or unemployed.

As all cards are now on special at 1 ticket for a limited time and this massive thread has now gone to 40 pages, would this be a good time to let this massive thread die a natural death and then maybe someone start a new "Special Offers" thread in the new year?

Here I was, all set to make a list of the specials to commemorate 2000 posts and they introduce the Holiday Specials. Seems a little redundant to write down all 574 cards.

A dedicated 2010 special offers thread? Not a bad idea for future catalogers. Maybe we could jazz it up and call it Special Offers-The Return, Special Offers Reloaded or Special Offer V2- the 2010 edition.

As I said in the last thread on the previous page I think it would be a good idea to let this thread die and start a new one when the current ticket regime ends and new cards start appearing again, but do we know for sure that Totem will keep the present system going post festive break?
I would suggest that we wait and see what happens.

Yes, of course. Wouldn't make much sense to do a new thread if there are no specials to talk about. However, I believe they have to bring the specials back in some form or another, because I think it was one of the smartest moves they made.

The specials got me to buy a ton of cards when they started and really gets new users to take the plunge. Something about the limited amount on offer and watching the number tick down gets you to act. It's a marketing trick, but really effective.

What do you guys think?

It certainly gets the juices flowing trying to catch them on special, but I still reckon my idea as listed in other threads would be better, 250 cards or 4 hours whichever it gets to first and every single card into the special offer mix.

When does holiday season special offer end, 00.00hr 2010?
