We are allowed to rate a card 0 or 1 but are there really any cards that are a "0". What is the criteria used to rate a card 0 besides "I don't like the girl". Obviously "most" ratings of 0,1,2, or 3 are given from members that do not own the card (or got it from their monthly membership). If you don't like Krystel and don't own the card why bother logging onto the site, clicking on her card, and rating her low?
You are only rating the girl since you didn't see the performance.

Same with 10s. All melissa cards aren't a 10. rank your top cards and see if the top to bottom 20 are equal.
How about this....instead of the weekly update how about a weekly update on ratings given by non-owners of a card each week. Owner ratings remain but non-owner ratings are not permanent.

I post my rating on a 6-10... like a 1 to 5 but that way... none get lower then a 6. I've given just one 6 (Ting/Strawberry Time). I've handed out ten 7s and the rest 8s and 9s. I've only given one 10 (Melissa/Whipped Cream) out of 99 cards and I rate all I get and only ones I own.Anyone who gets naked on my computer automatically deserves a 6. Thats just my personal grading system.

My rating system is pretty similar. I'm not a member so the tickets I buy on special are all of girls I want to see more of .In general ,disappointment registers a 7 , mild approval an 8 ,and "I am smitten" registers a 9 or 10 .
Out of 160 cards , 14 are 7s and one is a 6 .

I'm an a la carte person as well... I think thats how you say it... eh, y'all know what I mean!!!

Following on from what Deszu said, there is effectively a 1-5 star rating system as follows:

5 stars Very Good VGHD rating 9-10
4 stars Good VGHD rating 8-9
3 stars OK VGHD rating 7-8
2 Stars Below average VDGH rating 6-7
1 Star Poor VDHG rating 4-6 (there is no card rated less than 4)

It would not surprise me if many users see the ratings in this way.

Of course the best method would be the Caveman Binary method.

if you rate 1-10 then most girls should be around 5 thats average.so an honest 6 or 7 would be a good score.but people dont do that so many think if they give a girl less than an 8 thats saying she sucks and so they f--k up the idea of the sys.no matter what sys you use as long as people keep voting this way it will never work!

Actually, I would expect the ratings to be reasonably high.

Most people will already make a judgement on the card based on the preview, the photos and even the written reviews before they buy. So they invariably expect to like the card. And hopefully that is what happens.

So I would expect the average rating to be high, because no one will buy a card they don't think they are going to like.

In saying that I have been dissapointed with cards and given low ratings, but that is just my style. It is not better or worse than anyone else.

The exception is the members of course, who just receive cards, they may receive cards they don't like and rate accordingly.

I Agree with al that Apasas sayed. For me is wrong this metod of rating I noticed right away, and that is why I opened this post + poll, and I see that many of you experience the same problems, and think like me !!! I hope in a change.
