I agree with @HansSachs on this issue.

Although "common sense" tells us that the same rules should apply to games played in a cassino and to the iStripper games this is a false argument because what is important are the laws and how lawyers interpret them.

When we signed up for iStripper we agreed to a clause in the terms and conditions that stated that we agreed that the credits had no monetary value. Whether this is enough to explain why iStripper is not required to quote odds is not something I have any knowledge of, but it certainly changes matters. The important logic to apply is that used by lawyers not that of similarity with something else.

The argument "if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it must be a duck" is not one that is often relevant as far as the legal system is concerned, and it is what is legally required that is the most important consideration.

I think best solution could be simply hosting the iStripper forum in a separate forum site, but, if possible, still owned and ruled by Totem, a site which would not make any sort of sales - so no billing company would be able to make requests to it.

That's why I personally prefer to buy the cards I want directly. I rarely play these games unless I really want a SEC card. By doing this I am rarely disappointed.

I also agree that disabling customers from using Mastercard entirely would be a bad idea. It would ***** loyal customers who have been using Mastercard to purchase from Totem for possiblly years. There are also a lot of customers who would not be willing to change banks or open a card with a new bank just for use with iStripper since it would be a pretty involving process. There are also those customers that this may not even be an option for for one reason or another, including, but not limited to location, living, personal, or financial constraints of one kind or another. Another problem is that other card companies are VERY likely to follow.


I wonder though, if it might be possible for them to get around this by having their users pay through ePoch or Paypal? Thus payments would go to ePoch or Paypal and not to Totem directly I suppose? Then again, ePoch or Paypal may eventually have to follow the same rules?

Discord is a good option but does have some constraints. An example is that certain topics would have to be pinned, such as user created content such as custom fullscreens. The other problem with Discord, is that users may need to create a second account for adult content. I'm not sure if it is possible for anyone on your friends list to currently see what channels you are using but it could become a thing in the future, so I would also advise using a second account for this just in case.

I was also wondering about having the forums hosted on an official fan forum that isn't related or run directly by Totem, but rather by the community as a free forum? Maybe the iStripper Workshop could host it? There are a lot of pretty official fan forums for various video games out there, and they are quite often more popular than the forums on the official page/website. Of course some kind of agreement should probably be made to prevent people from posting anything illegal or pirating content, esp. iStripper content, but I'm sure something could be worked out.


The downside though, is that either way, we are probably losing use of some of the forums that people earned by purchasing cards. That being said, I very rarely even post in those forums since they are cut off from most of the community anyway.


Maybe a community tab could be added to iStripper or quick access to fan created forums/Discord channels? A disclaimer could be added to this tab, that expresses that these are not a part of or run by Totem.

No, it's not same thing that in a casino. The difference is, in a casino you can change back your chips and your gains in actual money; on iStripper you can not do so with credits - so, they are not definable as money and their use it's not a money game, in any way.
Only actual purchase here is the credit acquisition. Whatever you do then with your credits is not a monetary matter - monetarily speaking it is de facto purely fictional (since the company makes its earnings only when you purchase a pack of credits, not - in any way - when you use said credits, neither in order to get a card neither to play a game).

I think we pretty well all agree that Totem stating the odds for these games would be nice for, and beneficial to, the players.

But, being beneficial to the players almost, but not quite, implies that it would not be beneficial for "the house". At the very least it would be an added burden, and a possible added liability if they make a mistake.

I doubt that we will see this data being made available unless a legal obligation to do so is imposed. Currently, it seems, that there is no such legal obligation. I wish there were.

Mais comme ils aiment jouer, ils continuent avec l'espoir qu'un jour, la chance tournera en leur faveur.

Bonjour, j'ai essayer les jeux de grattages puis j'ai remarquer que la probabilité de gagner est assez faible j'ai misé 800 crédits je me retire avec 24 cartes supplémentaire soit l'équivalent à 330 crédits vu que je suis triple diamond honnêtment je suis dégouté je pensais pouvoir m'en sortir avec un maximum de 20 à 50% de perte mais là c plus de 50% de perte ridicule en plus vous nous dite même pas c'est quoi la probabilité ce qui est de base illégale et injuste mais par expérience j'ai bien l'impression que l'on peut gagner une fois sur deux un 200 crédit par tranche de 500 crédits acheté. De moins soit il faut être vraiment chanceux pour gagner le 500 crédit de bonus... Sa me dégoûte... Maintenant j'ai équivalent de quelques milliers de crédits dans les poubelles soit entre 100 et 150$ qui ce sont envoler pour rien ridicule... Sa aurait été bien d'avoir un indicateur de probabilité de gagner. Normalement, dans les jeux d'argents sous les cartes à gratter il y a toujours une metionne sur la probabilité de gagner.

@WillTip4AStrip - but if, as seems likely because Totem keep on doing it, the games result in customers in general spending more then they are working well even if they are causing some customers to spend less. As it happens I have recently stopped playing the games because they now do not seem to be so attractive to me as they once were. But that does not imply that I think that Totem should change what they are doing with these games to be more in my favour - on the contrary I think they should tweak them to be as much in their favour as possible when averaged over the whole of the membership.

After reading today's TGIF news and reading the comment "These games are very generous :-P," I decided (against my better judgement) to try the Golden Ticket game. First attempt, nothing and 50 credits gone. Second attempt, a Joker card. Yes! I hit the jackpot. I mean, the Joker card is in bold font on the news page, so it must be valueable, right?

Wrong! Sure, I got to pick any one card I wanted, and I chose a Special Event card. But, realize I spent 100 credits to get a single card worth 20 credits. Even if I got the Joker card on my first attempt, how is spending 50 credits to get a card worth 20 credits providing any value to me as a customer? This just puts more money in iStripper's pockets. I should have just bought six cards in my wish list for a total of 90 credits.

If iStripper is reviewing these comments here and wants to provide their customers a real value on TGIF, dump the scratchers and offer us more of the discounts on cards (eg, 20% off cards in our wish list, buy 4 get one free, etc). Makes us happy not sorry. Happy customers buy more. Sorry customers take their money elsewhere.

@needyouw0rstway - for me, the best place to win Jokers was on the "Joker" slot machine that ran last year - where as you span the reels the letters J O K E and R would fill up. Average cost of a Joker worked out to be 150-200 credits but it explains why I am now sat on 18 of the little buggers! 😉
