Maybe Totem should start asking the QA team to suggest appropriate titles for cards before releasing them, since part of the repetition, "recycling" and a few of the more naff titles are probably down to the fact that English isn't the Totem team's first language.

OK, so, there has been a lot of repetition in naming the cards. There’s some info about this here:

Also, dunno, some titles are kinda blah, (me likes Sofia’s “airbags” title, though) in my view, and some are not exactly repetitions, but not very inspired. It’s not an important thing, of course, but the chance to play a little with the possibilities and have some fun. Is just a game of sorts.

Who knows? Maybe you’ll see one of your titles in the future in one card... Or not, as the case might be. ;)

If you want, add whatever names you think would suit a non existing show, based upon the common model’s types around here, or the usual kind of outfits or outfit colors, or some notable peculiar aspects in the performances. The fun thing is also trying to avoid the most common words that Totem uses, like “party”, “red”, “girl”, “pink”, “summer”, “fire”, “black”, “candy”, “sun”, “white”, “beach”, or the same places like Ibiza, etc. Not need to be weird names, just not used so far and not so obscure to understand. Funny is good, too. And don’t hesitate to use names of songs, movies or books, there are some of those around already. Also, there are a few out there that are very simple and obvious, but still unused.

Just note that Totem baptizes the cards usually with one or two words, and they keep them titles short to fit the space in the card. So, “Super Ultra Mega Awesome Me Likes This Chick” might never be used, lol.

NAMES OF THE SHOWS

This recycling habit is puzzling. Seriously, there are more words in English than chicks willing to get naked for Totem in all the Eastern Europe and more likely in the whole planet. Didn’t make the equations, but is an educated guess, lol.

Now, there are a just a few shows or card names recycled in VGHD, right? Yup. But Totem has been recycling over and over again names from VG1 and VG2 and using them in the current product. They also recycled names heavily in those old products, plenty of those names are yet to be used here, though.

This is a visual compilation of all the names I was able to find in the earlier product that made one or more apparitions in VGHD. I’m not saying that it’s a full list, cause is challenging for the memory (and the eyes) and because there are still lots of Classic shows to be released and surely there are many repetitions there. Not my intention to make this a fully, bullet-proof complete list, though, is just to exemplify the recycling in this matter. So, please, not to hijack the thread with omissions. ;)

OUTFITS

Well, a lot more conspicuous than necklaces or earrings are the outfits, suits or dresses. There is plenty recycling in that front. Many are exclusive repetitions from the VGHD age, but plenty reached us from the early products, VG and VG2. With DBs, several outfits saw even one or two more uses. Tailoring must be a good business in Paris, lol.

There’s an ongoing thread started by szalka, 597 days ago: “Same dresses in VGHD”, with several examples of all the repetitions. The pick here was also originally posted by szalka.

THE ART OF RECYCLING

Well, dunno if “art”, but the recycling at the Totem’s mansion is pretty much a common practice. Not necessarily something good or something bad, but happens.

Back then in the first page of this thread, I mentioned the recycling of jewelry and accessories. Well, there’s a link in there to the original thread where that first came up, but since the website had a full make-over some time ago, old links no longer work.

So, in the spirit of recycling, I’m gonna recycle that info and make it the first part of this chapter, lol.

Quelques points à l'appui de post du CV :
1. Totem a maintenant des ressources supplémentaires qui aideront à modérer les sujets français.
2. Il y avait une grande douleur chaque fois qu'un idvidual parlant français non osé afficher une rubrique Frech, surtout lorsqu'ils ont utilisé un programme de traducteur.
3. Le modérateur uniquement français a démissionné et suspendu son propre compte, ce qui évidemment Totem ont été invités à rétablir et à passer beaucoup de temps à le faire. Personne n'a demandé ce individuels de démissionner, il avait ses propres motifs, lui seul peut expliquer.


Entre-temps, si vous souhaitez une assistance mod nous sommes seulement au plaisir de vous aider. Un simple PM est tout ce qui est nécessaire et si vous ne peut pas utiliser un programme de traducteur, alors seulement nous l'envoyer en français, et nous utiliserons un à traduire.

A few points in support of CV's post:
1. Totem now has extra resources that will help moderate the French topics.
2. There was considerable grief whenever a non french speaking idvidual dared to post to a Frech topic, especially when they used a translator program.
3. The only French moderator resigned and suspended his own account, which obviously Totem were asked to reinstate and spend considerable time to do so. No one asked this individual to resign he had his own reasons, which only he can explain.

In the interim, if you want mod assistance we are only to happy to help. A simple PM is all that is needed and if you cannot use a translator program, then just send it to us in French and we will use one to translate it.
