Hi @Zoony, there is a way to make new favorite scene lists however its a little clumsy.
~ If you use file manager (explorer) of Windows.

• Locate the ..Scenes/ folder
  
• Locate any scene you want to include in a list of favorites.
  
• Right-click & copy the scene file (should be ending with .scn) then..
  
• untick the file you just copied if it remains ticked then..
  
• right-click paste into the SAME FOLDER.
  

If you do this with several scene files you will end up with several files that look like
xxxx.scn (2) or
xxxx.scn - Copy.

When you are finished making copies of each scene you want...
RENAME the front part of the name of all the copied files to something like Myfavorites -
so they all look like Myfavorites - xxxx.scn
thats.. * Myfavorites space hyphen space originalname dot scn

Go back to the VGPlayer & they will all now be seen grouped in a Myfavorites tab in the VGPlayer list. The Myfavorites tab can be click expanded to show the copies you made.

If you only highlight the top group name ( a red check is optional)
When you run the 'Show on Fullscreen' launcher button under the Fullscreen preview screen, the Player will run only those scenes you have renamed *.

NOTE: 1.) In windows explorer, avoid moving files around into different folders than the ones they already exist in. Moving files around will mean scenes cease to work because they lose their relative paths to images, info and shaders. You only need change the front part of a scene's name to group it in the player listing !
2.) You can right click to change scenes without leaving fullscreen, only when you have highlighted the top Tab of a name group.
3.) This method only works 100% when launching via the button under preview with no other scenes checked. There is no way we have yet been shown how to program an exact sequence of fullscreen scenes chosen by us in advance.
If you want to play just one card for all your scenes, click on the card you want in My collection. Play one striptease, Right click her to get the wheel menu. Choose fullscreen ;)

Personally, I prefer solo clips but occasionally it's fun to watch multi girls 😛

In your GUI, Settings, Fullscreen, you will see all of the scenes that came with the software plus any that you downloaded and installed correctly.

Some of the folders here, you can double-click on and expand to show individual scenes. You can select or disable any or all of these scenes. Some folders will have a 'plus' sign at the beginning '+'. This usually means there are more scenes than one in the folder.

Now. You can click the box at the top right, 'Show on fullscreen' and this will play the currently highlighted scene that you see. Left clicking your mouse will escape the scene. Right click does nothing here.

If you select a few or all of the scenes available, then click on the button at bottom left, 'Launch the fullscreen.' This will now play ONE of your selected scenes at random and keep on playing it over and over with each clip.
If you have more than one scene selected in the GUI, You can RIGHT click your mouse to switch scenes. This will also switch clips. If you have music enabled for fullscreen, it should keep on playing when you switch scenes.
You need any more help with this, just ask! 😎

I tried adding a screencap of the gui but there appears to be a problem with uploading images right now :(

Edit: I just realised you may have been talking about selecting models to play in Fullscreen. There is no way at present to make the Fullscreen mode select a certain card or clip to play. If you have only one card enabled, then yes, it will only play clips at random from that card.

I know it used to be that after 300 cards you received additional functionality with extended command line. With the current version this really nolonger applies to the software. I reported a problem after a test with no internet and I believe this was corrected shortly after version 1.2.... was released.

Thanks for the update Starryk. As far as I can tell the bug is fixed and everything's working fine. Now I can watch VG again. I saved the latest cards I purchased for the day the pm is working again. Guess now it's finally show time again ;-)

Well, we reached 100 voters! My thanks to everyone who voted, particularly those who responded to my PM invitation over the past month. Special thanks to Apasas for his inspired and entertaining captioned pics. This poll would not be the same without his efforts.

There is extra information on the second and third sheets in that Excel file. I promise the information is 99% accurate, but can’t promise 100%. Already I have added late votes to a supplementary list to be published at a later date.
Some Observations
The top 3 girls/models are not yet on 3K cards, but 5 of the next 7 girls are on 3K. You will note the extra columns for Number of voters <green> and Number of 3 points <red>.
Melisa and Anna Tatu each got points from over 50% of voters. Melisa is the only model with over 50% of her votes being 3 points.
On the second sheet, labelled “Uniques”, is a list of those models mentioned by just one member. Also on that sheet, the 2 columns at the right show the number of models in the top 11 spots voted for by each voter, plus the total points given to those top 11. (2 girls were equal 10th)
The 3rd sheet, labelled “Top 10”, shows in order the members most successful at voting for those top 11 girls, and the number of votes/points given to them.
Finally, it has been suggested that we should do this again, perhaps once each year, so comparisons can be made and models’ popularity tracked over time. Keep alert for the 2016 30-Point Poll come January next year.

This is an assumption, and is simply untrue, imho. My resolution may be one of the lowest of any user on this site, and I enjoy many benefits that come with the 3K cards. Other users have commented in terms of hardware and requirements, and various configurations of same. My angle goes a completely different way, and may help you to understand why I would choose a 3K card over a card offering only the lower resolutions. It's not technical at all, but the new features that come with the 3K cards that I will explain from my point of view.

• The new cards come with more than just the standard clips. Included are clips called transitions which have the girl dangling from her hands, doing spins, spider-man like landings in high heels, and other fun, random actions that give variety to the clips, thereby extending the enjoyment beyond the earlier versions.
  
• The new cards are much more clearly displayed, in crisper focus, than the earlier versions. I only dl the 1080k versions of the 3K cards, and my monitor displays only 1280x1024 but the clips are noticeably sharper. I can capture a screen, and view it with my picture viewer, zooming in almost twice as close as the earlier versions, while still being able to see the finer details.
  
• I've been wrong before, but I believe the same is true for the bonus videos, which are available for separate download. Note that not all cards (3K or otherwise) have bonus videos. (shrug)
  
• The sound quality of the clips, and the bonus videos appears to be better.

First off, My post in response to yours, came across kind of harsh..
Didn't mean to Direct all that at you. But your post just pushed that button..

I see you have a few of the 3K cards..
So lets try an expiriment..

If you know how to rename folders - Keeping differnet resolutions of the same card is pretty easy.
I do it for QA when I test a card in the Different resolutions.

1) Download the card
2) after it's downloaded Rename the folder and tag it with its resolution.
3) in the GUI, select one of the Other Resolution for that card, and redownload it.

Example:
e0086 is a 3k card with all 3 resolutions, 3K, 1080p, 720p
So I download the 3k version.
after it is done, rename the Models folder to e0086-3K
then I slect 1080p on the card- and it downloads that version. creating a New e0086 folder.
rename that folder to e0086-1080
then select the 720p version to download it again.

Now Play a couple clips in 720p

rename the folder to e0086-720
name the e0086-1080 back to e0086

Now Play a few 1080p clips ( no need to rebuild or do anything other than rename the folders )

then rename e0086 back to e0086-1080
and name e0086-3k to e0086

Now play a few 3K clips.

It's the clips in the folder that determines what resolution.
Just remember that The GUI will still Show the LAST version downloaded.
( it doesn't know you changed the folders )

But you can just reanme the folders, and play what resolution clips are in that folder.

This way you can quickly compare..
I think you will see, that even the 720p clips are much improved.

Thank you for the update post. I didn't know that Ashley Robbins had retired. Very sad news for this post. But a man can still dream. Can't he? Still the point is of this poll, Ashley robbins does not have deskbabes card. And that is a shame.

Running multiple monitors is pretty easy now. Virtually any add in video card will do it and I used to run multiple monitors before i got my 4k screen. Then I went to just a single as the amount of space is ridiculous. Of course now I'm considering a second 4k screen...

And yes the 3k clips look better than any of the other clip types on a 4k screen when played at full clip res and even more so when expanded to fill the 4k screen. But what you're really paying more for is the increase in quality at any resolution that the new shows have. Don't think of it as paying for 3k that you'll never use, but just paying more for better overall results.

Re: 3 displays

Just to make you feel worse, I'm planning to get a 45" 4K display as soon as a suitible one becomes available at a reasonable price. 😎

Since I am not using those big screens which would benefit from the 3k quality, I think this was my right to make the here above post. This is not ***** for the sake of *****, but just ensure to pay for what I consume.

I've got three displays on my Mac Pro. I normally keep VG on my main 2560 X 1600 display. However, I often run in on my #2 1920 X 1080 display and sometimes on my #3 1024 X 768 display. In my opinion, the 3K click are higher quality than the older cards when shown on all 3 displays, but I don't know if there is any advantage to having them in 3K resolution on the smaller displays. Bottom line: The extra charge you pay for 3K buys you higher quality even in 1080 or 720 resolution, but the pay off is greatest on a large monitor in 3K resolution.

Actually, I positioned that table so that the taskbar clips had something to hang their legs over. I tried it lower and higher but this seems to be about the best fit so that most clips work ok :) As I said, much of this stuff is a compromise 😎

I then calculated the best fit after tests so that MOST girls were ok on the screen. None of this is perfect yet but we are all trying to make do with what we have to work with :)

I want to see Ashley Robbins in 3K in a DeskBabes card! I would love to hear her voice (and other more intimate sounds).

12. Move your old data folder to the desktop to get it out of the way.

13. Repeat steps 3-5 and check to see that you new data folder path is present. If it's not, continue with step 6.

14. Close the Properties List Editor. No need to save.

15. Open the VG application. If your collection appears, go on to step 17.

Edit: Ok. I have 2 cards of Ms. Lynna. (e0047 and e0048).
This is a perfect example of the different sizes when encoding.

Her card, e0048 appears to be encoded slightly larger than e0047. All of her clips that I just tested in fullscreen mode, on that scene, were ok on card e0047. One or 2 clips on e0048 went offscreen at the top and some off the side.

So, what do we do? Shrink all the girls to fit on screen no matter the resolution/ratio? This will make the majority of cards relatively small and maybe even worse than normal desktop mode. Defeats the object, methinks!

What's the answer? We either make the best of what we have now for the time being OR Alex, the TEAM AI will fix it for us? Sorry Alex. You know I'm just kidding here, right?

Personally, I give this whole thing around 2 or maybe 3 months and all will be well. We have to remember that the TEAM are human and sometimes need to sleep! I could quote so many clichés here but I won't!

I will say this tho. To all of the peeps who demand their requests be fulfilled, like yesterday, BREATHE SLOWLY. Then remember what we are all here for... FUN!

Yes, but you'll need to modify the preferences file. That's what I did, but I had a bunch of reasons for doing it and I went through a lot of experimenting to make it work. What benefit do you see in moving your data folder?

Here is the simple how to, but it may not work:

1. In the VG application in the Advanced Settings, be sure VG is set not to "Start at boot"

2. Shut down the VG application. Check your dock to see that it is really off.

3. Copy your current data folder to where you want it to be.

4. Open your Library folder. You can do this by holding down the option key and selecting Library from the Finder's Go menu.

5. Open the Preferences folder in the Library folder.

5. Make a copy of the com.totem.vghd.plist preference file and put it on your desktop as a back-up.

6. Double click the com.totem.vghd.plist preference file in the Preference folder, NOT the desktop. This will probably open the Property List Editor if you have either OSX 10.10 or 10.9. Some older versions may open in Text Edit.

7. Find the system.DataPath property. It's about half way down. Notice that this path is formatted as a POSIX path, not an Apple path. It uses "/" as the name separator not ":". Also the path to a secondary drive must begin with "/Volumes/"

8. Note that the path to the models folder is two lines below. You can probably use that as a sample. Type or paste in the path to your new data folder. Be careful not to make any mistakes. Compare what you enter to the models folder path to see that the formatting is the same.

9. Save your revised preference file.

10. Close the Property List Editor.

11. Reboot your Mac.

I have 3 of Ashleys cards. She's among my favourites! I just Googled her name and found that she just turned 31 in January. Nowhere could I find anything saying she has retired. So maybe she's still active??? I voted yes if it's still possible 😛

Thanks for your reaction and the possibility to enjoy your beautifull scenes 😉. A question: Did you reduced the models on 'the watery scenes with table' on the zipfile also? I use your excellent scenes with my 3K-cards on 4K-desktopmonitor. By example Ms. Lynna is several times to high for my screen with lost of some head of her. This problem I don't have with your 'firewall-scenes'.

A couple of months ago, when all this new fangled stuff came out, I downloaded everything new in 3K. Later, I realised that it was taking up a ton of space for each card on my external hard-drive. I was amazed by the quality though.

At the time, WA said that we should download according to the max resolution of our monitors/TV's. No point wasting hd space, right?

My TV/monitor is a standard 40 inch 1080P. (1920 x 1080). Yes, you can get 1080P on a much smaller screen but please bear with me...

To test this, I deleted a couple of 3K cards and downloaded in 1080P versions. Soon after, I updated back to 3K for those cards.

My conclusions were that, on a smallish screen, one would probably not notice any difference. On a good sized screen, the 3K versions are a little crisper.

So, if you have a decent sized monitor/TV, your decision is then over hard-drive space.

And, as Beast says, you can always upgrade your card in the future when you have a better resolution screen and maybe a bigger hard-drive 😉

Maybe one day the whole industry will settle on an agreed standard. 16:9 or 16:10? Which is better visually? Not much difference, granted, so I dunno...

For now, I like your suggestion, Beast. You have more influence here than just about anybody! I'll leave that one up to you 😉

Regarding the encoding of cards/clips in varying sizes? I doubt there is much we can do about that now. Maybe Alex can create a magic algorithm that will make all clips fit the screen perfectly? He's a little more advanced than AI, right? 😉 Hehehe. GO Alex!

The Raw 4K recording is Much Crisper, Clearer, and better color saturation.

So all of the Clip resolutions will show an Improvement.

If you Don't have a 3K monitor, I doubt you will notice a difference
between the 1080p and the 3K clip.

So what is the source of your Information that Only Users with HIGH resolution monitors benifit from the new 3K collections?

Second remark I can do : when I play a card, the girl is partially hidden by the dock. I know it is possible to hide the dock but I am wondering if there is a possibility to ***** the girls to have fun on top of the dock :)

Full screen has been changed a few beta versions back to eliminate the Black Boarder.

It used to be, if you designed a scene, it would pretty much be the same on all screens.

(Full screen had a 16:9 proportion, and if your Screen was different, then you saw a black border )

It found your Screen width, then set the height according to 16:9

Now, It will stretch to fill your screen Height with no border, but that also means it might be clipped on the sides.

I've noticed this working on differnet screen sizes. No more boarders, but the sides of the sceen get lost if my screen isn't 16:9 proportion.

I think it should be an option. Fill Width, or Fill Height.
Fill Width would be the way it was before.
Find screen width then calculate Height based on 16:9

Fill Height would get your screen Height, and Clip the width if your screen wasn't 16:9
I think this is sort of How it is Now...

if you want to test it out, you can rotate your Screen from Lanscape to Portraite mode.

Ok. You mentioned that my last scene had problems with some models not fitting on the screen. I test every scene I make now with at least 50 clips from different models. The problem we are all up against is that some cards were encoded at larger sizes than others of the same resolution. Particularly the 720P cards.

Most peeps want to see their girls as large as possible on the screen without their heads going off the top and I try to accomodate this wish!

However, it IS a compromise. With normal desktop large mode now, the taskbar clips are smaller than they used to be in 1.1.0.84. Us Fullscreeners can make them BIGGER 😎

If we try to make the largest cards fit on the screen, then most of the other cards will be fairly small by comparison. In Fullscreen, we can make/code the clips TEN times the screen size if we want to, or even more!

Anyway, after your comments, the last scene I just uploaded for sharing, I reduced the models' standingHeight and sittingHeight a little so hopefully, more of your favourites should stay on the screen. Thanks, buddy 😄

Ok. This one I've made from one of TheEmu's swarming experiments, Balls of many Colours shader, adapted for VG from GLSL Sandbox. I reduced the size of the balls to look like fireflies! Thanks, buddy 😉

It also uses a slightly modified version of lezardo's vertex 'Move' shader and his antiAlias shader.
The model names swing in this one as per Beast's code 😊

The background came from textures8.com. A great free site for texture images.
The gradient fog and the base platform, I made myself in PSP 8.

Bugfixes

Finally I enlarged the Clipinfo dialog so it doesn't change its size on every new clip as i found that annoying. Of course that means it has to be big enough to show the longest cliptype + accessories. I once removed the clipname to the title on a users request and now i reverted that on another users request and because of the new clipnames were too long for the title especially as it now also has the buttons to minimize, maximize and hide the dialog.

About the factors: these help to make the cliptimer more accurate than it would be otherwise.
Its absolutely impossible to get it completely accurate. The factors try to include the fact that a cage clip will always be bigger than a standing clip because the cage is in it. So a 30 MB cage clip might be as long as a 25 MB standing clip. And if you add props like chairs into the show the whole calculation becomes almost pointless.
But even with just the basic cliptypes (no swing , no cage) in the same show for one taskbar clip the calculated time would be 7 seconds to short and for another it would be 5 seconds too long. So i settled on the factors i have now as they work for many clips. Just for example for cage clips its 0.88 meaning i multiply my calculated duration by this.
I was pretty happy to find that the factors i worked out for pole clips in a 1080 p VirtuaGirl show also work for a 3k VirtuaGirl Interactive show. So I am through with this topic
