The value of a single credit has always been $2, or pretty much 2eu, or 2 of your local equivalent currency.
and a single card was always 2 credits, or a value of $4

there were volume discounts,
and the 50 for 50 is still the same..

the Demo tab in the past allowed you to purchase a single card for 1 credit..

that has changed.
the Demo tab isn't used for discounts any more,

ALL cards are now Discounted Based on your user Level.

So you no longer have to wait for that card to show up on the demo tab. It's already discounted.

Totem has not had a price increase in YEARS... almost 10 years..
So this small 20% increase was long over due..
how much cost the cards ?
Price differs from one card to another, depending on the payment option you choose.
Each card cost 1 to 3 credits:
Cards available in 720p, 1080p and 3k cost 3 credits
Cards available in 720p and 1080p cost 2 credits.
Cards only available in 720p cost 1.60 credits.

$4 - 2 credits - regular price, no discount
$12 - 8 credits - 25% discount
$30 - 25 credits - 40% discount
$50 - 50 credits - 50% discount

Discounts are calculated based on your member level.

Silver members with 10-39 cards get a discount rate on all card of 10,00%
Gold Members with 40-99 cards get a discount rate on all card of 20,00%
Platinum Members with 100-299 cards get a discount rate on all card of 30,00%
Diamond Members with 300-749 cards get a discount rate on all card of 35,00%
Double Diamond Members with 750-1499 cards get a discount rate on all card of 40,00%
Triple Diamond Members with more than 1500 cards get a discount rate on all card of 45,00%

New cards in 3k are released with a 20% discount for the first 7 days (2.40 credits) then come back to their normal price 3 credits.

@CJCAT:

Appears you've been away from the forum a while. Many months ago, Totem announced necessary changes to the pricing structure, the carousel and discounts. It was either that or possibly go out of business. The prices hadn't changed for around 8 years.

So, the team warned us all in good time of the changes, here on the website. The reception of this news was obviously mixed but I think the majority accepted that it was necessary. Totem have invested heavily in better quality equipment (4K cameras and better studio lighting, etc.).

Let's break this new pricing structure down...

As Dorsai6 and many others buy credits in 50 blocks, as do I normally, 1 credit costs 1 Dollar or Euro. You are currently on the same level as me at Diamond. In the past, buying from the carousel cost ONE credit, while the model stayed on the carousel then reverted back to TWO credits when she disappeared.

Now, ALL 720P cards cost u and me 1.04 credits regardless of when we buy them. ALL 1080P cards cost 1.30 credits, again regardless. ALL 3K cards cost u and me 1.56 credits for 7 days and then 1.95 credits after that.

At OUR status level, EVERYTHING is cheaper than it was before the changes, presuming you buy credits at the most economic point, ie., 50 credits at a time. You can now buy Classic cards at 0.65 credits if you like those girls!
So, my friend, you might want to rethink your argument a little more.

Totem has increased prices for newer members who probably will be none the wiser but for long-term loyal members, all is good :)

(Ok, past subscription members are a little p'eed off but Totem could not support this any more and survive as a business). This was made clear.

Compatible Hardware Topic

Something I notice crop up every now and then is a user needing to know what hardware works well with VirtuaGirl.

I have searched using 'topic titles and posts' and unless I used the wrong terms can't find an existing thread giving details of working configurations. So I thought I'd get the ball rolling. Please submit your own systems so that people can use the knowledge to see what exactly they can expect to work well (or not). Feel free to use either of mine as a template via copy and paste.
