Why not? I haven't seen any T&C for the premium membership even though i asked nor anything stating that it will not happen. If one of the premium members could say if they clicked a T&C agreement for the premium membership or not, at least i would know if it even exists. If there isn't a T&C that explicitly states they won't do that then they can do whatever they want.

Celine's original post only says that premium membership unlocks the 4k access, nothing about them being exclusive to premium members forever.

Those members who do the premium thing would still get to buy them at a discount just after they are released throughout the year and others will get to pay the 20-30% more you suggest if it happens.

Sounds like good business sense to me.

It seems to me that some people here don't, can't or WON'T understand that it costs money to upgrade a product and to stay even close to industry standard. Higher resolution and sharper images are the standard so if Totem wants to stay current they have to invest in the new equipment to get it done. And it's more than just a new camera. There are new processing programs, higher end computers and training the staff use them, to name just a few parts of the process. Last time I checked that stuff wasn't free or even inexpensive but it seems like some of the members think that they should be able to benefit from the company's continuing investments without helping to defray the costs.

If the premium thing makes sense to your style of buying here then do it and reap the additional benefits you get from it. If the premium thing doesn't make sense for you then DON'T do it and you lose NOTHING you don't already have here.

As long as the special event cards remain locked behind timing barriers and silly gambling things, this isn't worth it. Make the special event cards purchasable, and it might be.

I always look at: the beauty (very subjective) the outfit (less subjective) the skills, the personality and the charisma of a model.The models with the best shows, are not always the one's with the highest ratings and the highest sales.
Skills, personality and charisma are for me very important. Recent models like Angelika Grays, Stella Flex, Belka, Nici, Melena Maria Rya, Milena and Angel Sway have this. If they are not your type don't buy the show. Never buy a show because I say it's a good show! Follow your own instinct.
I write comments for several reasons: I like to do this (feels like good and satisfying "work"; I'm retired, so I have plenty of time for this.) to give information to the customers to give feedback to the @productionteam to give something back to the model, who does this all for us.I don't buy shows of models, which are not my type, so that I never have to write negative comments.

I always read the comments of other people, also of the shows I don't buy. I want to know and understand why and for what reasons they like a model and show. I have learned that what I like, is not what everybody likes. And to accept that your taste is not the taste of your "neighbour" is not easy, but that's in all parts of life. Some like impressionist painters, others the old Dutch masters or the expressionist painters or the abstract or conceptional art. With music just the same.

My greatets respect for the @iStripperteam, who must find the equilibrium between all tastes, so that every taste can recognize it self in the choosen models.

What I'm not sure is that I still have 156 credits left and I don't know what I'm gonna do after spending them.

All users can benefit from this if they wish to.

I won't argue with collectors about that, but in my case I'm selective in buying shows, so much less than 60% of the shows, which means Premium would be mostly for 4K and I won't pay $60 a year (82 canadian dollars) for 4K.

They have taken something, now we have to pay resolution upgrade. In the beginning it was 720p, then 1080p came and then 3K.

In the store 3K cards are more expensive than 1080p and 1080p cost more than 720p so in essence you are paying more for the higher resolution cards.

No but you had to pay more fore the 3K cards. In fact everybody has to pay more irrespective of whether or not they want 3K. Some people are happy with 1080p (and some even with 720p!) but they still have to pay the same price as people who are using 3K.

Then now to pay back their new 4K cameras and equipment, they just invented something new. Yes we've lost a lot since they introduced gambling, special event cards and now we have to pay for developments.

So yes theoretically the Premium membership is a cost increase if you want to view cards in 4K however in this case people who don't want or don't need 4K are not having to pay extra for the 4K resolution.

Added to the fact that you can get the discount on new cards, it can for some actually work out cheaper for 4K cards than 3K cards.

All users can benefit from this if they wish to. I think Totem have been more than fair with this premium offer.

@Manue @celine Will the joker card being given during this promo have an expiry date or will I be able to use it whenever I like?

I agree with @orclover, @zzmaskers writes the best reviews and generally does a lot of good posts in the forum, I am thankful for his time spent.

I do not have the same taste as @zz , but I do think he has good taste and respect that. I like my girls a little more voluptuous than zz, but I always look for his reviews before I buy a card (except for those instant buys, like Belka and Nicci 😄).

Took the plunge, made the investment ... and am quite pleased with the result. I don't think it's my imagination but there's a noticeable improvement on my 4K TV which is connected to my 1080p laptop. It can only get better when I eventually improve the laptop.

As our English friends might say ... "good show, iStripper, jolly good show!"

@Carbo - No they have NOT taken anything - they have offered something new and this time have decided to charge for it. They could simply have continued as before and not offered the 4k resolution at all.

There is a huge difference between taking and not giving.

Totem could have simply continued as they had until now but instead they have now offered more than before without taking anything away from what they were previously offering. You have the option of just continuing as you did before and simply ignorig the newer options.

@freewheeler - there has been no indication as to whether or not joker cards will in future be related to premium membership. As yet the only things are that a Specal Event Card has been issued to mark the start of the premium membership scheme and that we get a joker card if we join this week, the initial announcemnt siad

I am just about to do that. Expect an update in the next days.

Just to let you know: That new version will require Java 8 or higher to run. Normally most people should fulfill that requirement without doing anything extra by now.

I see a potential flaw in this strategy. That beng that you probably won't be getting a new Joker card when your premium member thing recurring renewal happens. The way that I read the opening post of the TGIF is that the Joker card is only available with the purchase of the premium offer until Oct. 25. After that it will be gone.

You may be right. After a year, I'll cash in my Joker and then act as I see best. I will not spend more than 50 credits for a single card.

I have over 3300 cards by now and still regularly buying. But I'm at a point where all the slot machines and scratch cards offer me cards that don't really bother me that much anymore. I decided that for me it was a lot cheaper to buy only the cards I want rather than to gamble for them.
But... I would also like to keep the option to eventually get the collection complete and therefore I always entered the special events just to get the special card. Until... last time when the special events card could only be won by gambling. So now I'm left with one card I will never be able to get (by the current rules of the game) and thus will never be able to complete my collection. Therefore any further special event cards have no meaning for me anymore. If my collection cannot be completed because of one card, it may as well not be completed by two or more cards.
I understand Totem is in it for the money, but if they want mine for this Premium subscription, they have to give me the option to buy (not even need to give away) the special event cards. I would even be prepared to continue to enter special events if getting the special event card is for sure and only have the option to buy the special event cards for gambling events as a Premium subscriber.
In any way, it's their business. If they don't want my money I'm fine with it. There's so many other things to spend it on and have fun.

As to a benefit of the shows at 4k vs other resolutions:

In the area of skin coloration accuracy on a calibrated display:
I am observing that though Skye's skin coloration at 4k is pretty close to other resolutions, Niki's 4k skin hue, compared to other resolutions, more accurately represents a Eurasion with a medium tan, as can be observed frequently here in SoCal. And that's a good thing.

I think Debora A is the lightest around here. She weights only 37 kg (81 pounds).

I would have thought that you would only lose the premium status after the year that you have paid for is up. I think that Celine or one of the other team members said as much in an early post.

your behaviour remembers me to the behaviour of a lot of innkeepers in my home region during the implementation of the Euro currency. Too lazy to make a real calculation of Deutsche Mark to Euro prices (1 Euro was 1,95583 DM) they changed only the currency symbol DM to EUR (or €). You guys must be breaking Totem's servers downloading shows in 4K. I tried to "update" a couple of cards, and the update ***** in a few seconds.

12 hours later and I still cannot download the updates. (Angel Sway, Sailor Rose and Stella Cardo, A walk in the park).

@sjaakie - In the Hall Of Fame posts in the News section of the Featured tab you will find a list of 250 users who who benefit. In order to get onto this list you must not only have bought essentially not only all the recent cards but also all of the older 1080p, 720p and 480p cards which implies that there will almost certainly be an even larger number of users that have not bothered with all of the older cards but are still buying all of the new cards as they appear. The answer to your question "how many you think you buy and make the choice" is therefore at least several hundred - or rather at least that many would benefit from taking up the offer.

I will be happy the day some competition comes to this market.

I believe the entirely of the userbase has spoken: please add the ability to buy special event cards as an additional feature for the premium service, even if it's just for 10 days from release. Better still, give subbers a joker card per month.

As diamond use 1 show is 25-45% = 13.75 credits. As premium user 13.75-20% = 11 credits. A saving of 2.75 credits. 500 credits are € 49.99 premium is € 59. This is 590 credits in proportion. If I only use the 20% discount, I have to buy at least 215 shows to be more affordable. So how many you think you buy and make the choice.

My current strategy will be to "spend" my joker this time next year on the SEC card I'd most like to have. Then I'll repeat the same thing the following year.
