Pre covid I was at a VCT (Venture Capital Trust) shareholders meeting.
A woman said that she had attempted to buy shares in this VCT (which would actually receive tax relief from the Inland Revenue) only for the local police ***** to turn up at her front door as her bank (which was one of the largest in the UK) had reported her for a possible money laundering crime.

So anyone attempting to buy cryto in the UK could easily at a minimum find their bank account and cards blocked.

Included ARSE (anti ring sharpen effect) which fixes the blurring caused by GL_LINEAR when the girls are scaled by standing/sittingheight without causeing artifacts like "color.rgb+fwidth(colour.rgb)" which cause bright lines (ringing artifacts) between eg: a dark skirt and skin. It does increase aliasing though.

After the mess last week with FTX, I would not be too surprised if this whole project was delayed again. Perhaps even cancelled. The shows made so far could then simply be released as regular cards. Not sure the idea of trading cards between users really had much going for it either.

And as @peterbanker mentioned, many of us might not be able to do this even if we wanted.

NFTs are a scam as it is a digital product that has no reason to be limited at a set amount.

I paid 50 euro for 500 credits and 1 iStripper cards is 11 credits for me. So 1 iStripper cards cost 1.10 euro. Discord server has 16516 members and there are 18395 members on the app forum. Dolz webside mention 300.000 iStripper collectors.

I can safely say that all cards sold at least 5000 time at 1.10 euro is total 5.500 euro. If the NFTs is limit to 500 then they need it to sell it for at least 11 euro. But went totem only release 1 NFTs per week then it needs to be 77 euro per NFTs card as 5.500 euro times 7 days is 38.500 euro. 5000 card is a low but safe estimated. And I don’t know really know how many NFTs card Totem will sell so it is a guess.

In my eyes this is not good for us the user/customer and for Totem. Ones the 500 are sold then that’s it. They can’t ever get more money for the NFTs cards. The normal iStripper cards will continue bring in money overtime and can be use for the games.

Last thing is that NFTs card are not a different product as it use the same resource as the iStripper cards.

P.S. I will not and can't do the NFTs. It probely will be to expensive for me and i don't like it to scan/take a photo of my ID to submit as proof.

That is correct, with smoothstep you don't need any explicit logic for this sort of thing. You might want to tweak the limits, either or both of them, depending on exactly what you want to see but for this particular usage the values you have would seem to be sensible.

If, however, you wanted the transition to be a soft one centred at a value of 0.5 for col.r you would want something like

col.a = smoothstep(0.49, 0.51, col.r);

ahh, i'm using the nvidia complier. That explains why its such an arse. Calgon is on nvidia too.

As for atom, it doesnt have the functionality by default, you have to point it to "glslangValidator.exe" for it to compile and check for errors as you type. I'm sure yopu can remove the "garish" colours if you don't like them. It's also nice having the project folder browser tab, i don't remember n++ doing that, i always had to file/open/browse.

If you just use a threshold of 0.0 for this then in a many cases, though not all, you get a poor result as it drives too many pixels to be transparent. I have found that it often better to use a threshold which can be tweaked.

That is not equivalent to the code that @Calgon was asking about which tested col.r not col.a. He may well have what intended to test col.a but even then the code would not be equivalent as the original threshold was not 0.0.

this is assuming that col.a starts out at 0.0 which sometimes doesnt (weirdly) unless you define it with vec4 col = vec4(0.0). As an aside do you have any idea why it does that (sometimes is not zero if you define as vec4 col;)?

Ahh - I see that it has a better syntax checker than I have been use to seeing in the editors.

I know I installed and tried atom a good few years ago and it seemed to be a good editor, but at that time I didn't see any strong reason to switch to it.

Obviously if it compiles and runs but looks weird its not going to help you with those type of errors, nor will the logfile though.

I normally have very little trouble in locating the error using the line number in the log even though it does not exactly match the line number in the editor. However, the discrepancy seems to depend on the GSL compiler being used, on my machine by default the discrepancy is usually only a line or two, but is more if I switch from the Intel to the Nvidia compiler.

On those few occassions when there is a problem I resort to introducing a deliberate error (usually just silly word, like bugger, on a line by itself) close to the line identified in the log as this then gives me the correction term to use for the line numbers - not elegant but a useful technique to have when it is needed.

1. Try to run the scene
2. Did it run ?
2.+Yes => Finished
2.+No => Read error log
3. Did I understand the error messages ?
3+No => Change the code in some random way => Go back to 1.

Thats what i am saying about having the error checking in editor as it tells you the problem. Eg:

if put

vec3 bug = 0.0;

it will say "cannot convert from 'const float' to temp 3-component vector of float

because it should be

vec3 bug = vec3(0.0);

It has saved me so much time just trying to find the problem as the line numbers in the log do not match line numbers in whatever editor you are using.

Obviously if it compiles and runs but looks weird its not going to help you with those type of errors, nor will the logfile though.

I used to use N++ but after switching to atom i'm not going back. It's just far easier to write scenes in, if you can add the same functionallity into N++ do so.

The first uses the trinary ?: operator where "a ? b : c" evalautes to b when a is true and to c when a is false (read it as "if a then evalute and use b else evaluate and use c").

The second first evaluates col.r > as a boolean value (where 1 is true and 0 is false) and then converts it to a float value.

Went on the authors patreon site.... sounds like he hardly makes a bean from YouTube which is a shame because amateurs like me need Tutorials like his.

My contribution to the original code was to work out how to hack out the background and move the feathers up /down and in/out so I could create the effect I wanted but the more you do, the more you understand. I've been waiting for someone to comment on my ***** ***** code as I'm pretty sure there are more elegant solutions than this:

Then I spent several hours down at the nature reserve taking the background photos of birds before wrapping it all up in a zip.

I use the vghd.log file to find errors.
I keep it open in notepad++
after a scene has an error I check the line numbers and try to find the error in the source code.
Then I delete all the text in the vghd.log file and save an empty log.

this way, I'm starting with a clean log each time I run the scene.

A lot of my errors are because I forget to put the semi-colon on the end of the line.
And then that will cause some obscure error, not specifically in the line I forgot the semi-colon,
but it's easy to spot.

The Head of the vghd.log, contains the most important error information..

I know that I can have checking done by the editor - it is simply that I don't like colourising the program text to do it. I find that it is so distracting that I rarely notice the error indicators that it produces among the noise of the, to me, rather garishly coloured keywords etc. and, on top of that, that it does not detect the sorts of errors that I make nor the sorts of errors, often type errors (not typos), that others seem to frequently make. Even were I to be using a context sensitive/language sensitive editor I would still be looking at the error messages as they were issued, which in the case of iStripper is most easily done using a tail utlity. If you use Notepad++ that can be just one of the tabs in the Notepad++ window, though I prefer to have a separate window.

I would hardly call single clicking on an icon (just once, not once per run or once per edit but just once a day) when I am developing a scene "a lot of messing about". In any case I would always want to examine the log for errors and warnings even if the scene seems to run perfectly. I do this when installing other peoples' scenes and it is sometimes surprising to see what faults it shows up. Using a tail uility is somewhat simpler than loading the vghd.log file into an editor as it automatically looks at the right end of the file.

To catch errors in shaders I rely on the error and warning messages written to the vghd.log file when any are encountered. During scene development I use use a file "tail" utility so that I can see last few dozen lines of the vghd log scroll by as they are written (and can manually scroll back for more details if needed). I have a desktop icon pinned to my taskbar that opens vghd.log in this way with just a single click.

I use baretail, out of habit, but there are other tail utility out there and Notepad++ itself has an option to monitor the tail of a file in this way.

The easiest way I found is to ***** the desired girl's card into the "To be continued" section of the "In progress" panel on the right side of the screen. You can ***** multiple cards of the desired girl to this location.

Then click on a chosen scene. The girl will appear in the scene. (It may happen that some clips of the card will not be played, if the type of clip, for example "Swing", has been excluded from the scene.

Before you change the scene, make sure you put the desired card back in the "To be continued" section, otherwise another girl will appear. If you have placed several cards of the same girl, another card of that girl will be played when you change scenes.

The "primary" performer in a scene is the one corresponding to the first Clip statement in the .scn file. The clips used for this, and only this, performer in the scene are controlled in the same way as those selected for the small mode desktop mode.

So, if there are any cards in the Now Playing/Next queue then these will be used for the main performer and if you ***** a card to the Now Playing/Now Playing slot while a scene is active the scene will immediately switch to using that card if it has any suitable clips, Of couse you can only use this ***** and drop if you have two or more screens with the GUI on one and the full screen scene on another.

For the "secondary" performers you have less control - these are selected from whater cards you have "enabled" in your collection.

A problem with this is that while it works well enough with "properly" written scenes featuring a main performer with any others playing a supporting, background, role it fails if there is no main performer or if the scene's creator was not aware of the rule that the main performer should be mentioned first in the .scn file.

The scene utilizes the same shader twice and each use has 3 parameters set up in the scene code which gives you some control over the quantity, size and placement of the feathers.

I really wish they would return to the old Virtuagirl Scene Naming convention.

With that one you could put your username in front of the scene title (separated with an underscore I think) and it would group all the scenes under the username. You would click on the username and it would list all the scenes.

I know I and a few others ***** when they changed it to the current format. There was a statement at the time that they would bring this convention back but it never happened. Th current method means I have had to delete many user scenes because I don't want to scroll through thousands of scenes to find the one I want.

@TheEmu has several thousand scenes but under the old system these only used to take up a few lines in the scene folder unless you expanded them.

It was very easy to find what yoiu wanted.

L'amélioration de l'application a sans doute été mise en veille par la mise en place de Dolz. Quoiqu'il en soit, je pense qu'un échec de cette nouvelle aventure(s'il devait s'avérer) ne sera profitable à personne 😒
