That is precisely my point, Heelslicker, and the reason I voted No. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...we all have unique personal tastes. So who would be the judge of what women this extra payment would be for? You will never please everybody, especially if a member pays this extra fee only to be presented with models they don't find any more attractive than the women they already like here.(Some may find the higher priced chosen models to be even less attractive than the models they already like here.)
Simple personal preferences make this a very slippery slope...and, personally, I can't see it working. Some members may be pleased with the chosen model, while others are not pleased with the choice. This is inevitable...its human nature.

The check for updates does indeed check if there are any updates for reasons that Shodan has posted. Remember it has to check each file & show against the server to test if there are any updates or not.

However if there are no updates, then even though it is looking like it is downloading, WA has proven that if there are no updates, there are no downloads.

Lots of the cards have had errors and glitches in the filming identified by members for fixes. I'd imagine that the 'check for updates' looks for updated and fixed clips. A very useful feature when your collection starts to get large...
I'd imagine it probably checks that everything is included so you'd have to delete demos and such again...

This is a more serious problem: after moving /models and /data and reloading the custom art cards for VG, I noticed that I am not getting the custom controls options, and it says in the desktop software 0 credits. In the browser, it shows my credits correctly, and why I don't have custom controls any more is an indication of another error. Also Tereza/Conning Tower has disappeared (momentarily?) from my collection.

Not spectacular.

Retraction: this problem resolved - somehow I managed to get two copies running at the same time. Rebooting the machine resolved this:
Errors resolved: Desktop software now shows correct credits, and extra controls are present, and member classification is not "new member" but "VIP member". And Tereza♥Conning Tower is back with her camel, even though I deleted the a0379 folder from the /models folder. The downloader must have noticed and synchronized. Almost magic.

Meanwhile, the demo carosel is slowly filling up with full.jpg's, so that aspect will just have to remain a temporary issue and a longer term mystery.

I have not downloaded the custom DeskBabes, so those cards are still red V's, (why is that??), but I like the custom art better anyway.

I downloaded the latest version, 1.1.0.50, and took full advantage of the ability to delete demos. Freed up almost 10 gigs of space!

Anyhow, I noticed that one of the other options when right-clicking the trash icon is "check for updates". I just randomly did this on Pepito - Black Cherry (833), and it started to re-download the card.

So, two questions. Is this just a simple way to re-download a card (and how would I know it actually needed re-downloaded), or is it actually checking to see if there were updates? And the one I chose just happened to be updated?
