I've seen a number of potentially good cards completely ruined by the fact that the hair-style makes the woman look like a character from star-trek. Nella's nascar trophy card is a perfect example of this.

And others, where the hair ends up hanging in the girls face for half the show like monica scott's golden palace card.

One other thing...they need to work more on the actual card picture itself, because of those cards make the women look like starving refugees and crack-whores, even if the card isn't that bad.

all valid points...many , many , many ugly hair styles , costumes , tattoos , portraits .
I think those Europeans might have a different sense of style than us Americans .

do not know exactly by what time ~ from what number of cards ~ Totem did change the Make-Up Artist but the results of new releases are much better at that point as the older ones ;-)

Regardless of their sense of style, cards with these aspects do comparitively worse then other cards by the same model. That alone should tell them that they need to do things a little differently.

I can't even say it's all older cards either, because alexandra's smack me card which was made much more recently makes her look like an alien.

Edit: @luckyrene On the whole yes. Could still be better though.

I find it hard to like any girl who doesn't smile at least once in while and that's why a poker face like Alexandra isn't gonna get a second look from me regardless of her other attributes .

@tomartnel Have to agree with you there. A lot of my 8's would be 9's and possibly 10's if the model would simply smile more often, if at all.

Thanks for raising this topic. Very valid points indeed. Several girl's cards have been decimated by poor hairstyle choices as well as attire. Very cabaret in their various style motifs. Very different from what the our western tastes are accustomed to IMHO. Some have been very unflattering to an otherwise very beautiful lady ;(

Things overall do seem to be improving in this aspect, although it remains to be seen as to whether or not it will remain permanent.
