I don't like Melisa or Jenny Gregg, but it would be criminal if the missing Krystel cards are not released. Plus based on the numbers there should be an additional Natali Blond card.

Today's specials

I just bought Bijou/SunsetBlvd , regretfully. What a disappointment and to think that all those newly released cards were available when most people in North America were working today .
It's pretty obvious VGHD has a very high regard for its European customers ,comparatively speaking .

Melissa and the duo were selling at approx 1 card every 4 seconds. All 400 gone in less than 30 minutes.

Membership grows but the number of new cards available for purchase at a 1 ticket discount stays the same. As I mentioned in another thread...when new cards sell out within 15 minutes and even the friday campers misss out then totem will change the system to make it available equally for all time zones and all members.

Questions for the assembled. What are the facts on how the "special offer" is generated?
What is the 'cut-off low score' for the cards offered?
Do new release cards go in the 'random generator' to be offered after the initial release camp-out or are they held up for a bit?
Is it time for them to lower the number on cards after they've been offered excess multiple times?

just curious, as a North American member with a decent collection, I usually miss out on the new release party Friday mornings, and usually have the cards 'on special' that interest me in my collection.

Thanks for the help!

....What is the 'cut-off low score' for the cards offered?

I think it's now 5.7

...Do new release cards go in the 'random generator' to be offered after the initial release camp-out or are they held up for a bit?

Yes, they come up again. See list above.

...Is it time for them to lower the number on cards after they've been offered excess multiple times?

There are lots of ways Totem can maximize this system, but since launch they've only made one significant change (increased card numbers to 400, lowering ratings floor below 9).

dannorex, your comment about the timing to suit American time is in itself interesting. It is clear that the new release times, daytime in Europe tend to favour European members but the question that has to be asked is where are the majority of Totem customers situated?

I believe that VirtuaGirl tends to be more European customers whereas HustlerGirl tends to be more American customers, if my guess is true then it is not unreasonable that Totem directs it's efforts where they will have the most effect.

When HustlerGirl and VirtuaGirl were run as different home pages it was plain from the length of time specials would stay on HustlerGirl that sales were nowhere near the volume of Virtuagirl. A good special on Virtuagirl could sell in an hour and the same special on HustlerGirl would usually linger for many hours. Now of course we can't see any difference because whilst the two home pages are differently badged, they are identical and always carrying the same special.

I was just curious. I was just thinking that under the new system, with a decent sized collection(vip), the daily trailers are all cards i'm not/wasn't interested in, and in the new releases are timed such if I wake up early (way-way early) on Fri I can maybe catch one of the new releases, but with the longer/slower sell thrus of the cards prior(lately) not even that before I go to work. I still pay 2 tickets for ones I know I'd want (Shabba's latest). But would appreciate the chance to take better advantage of the specials. I know Totem needs to make money. And I have no problem being a satisfied customer. Just seem to be unlucky with the way things are currently set up.

I think VirtuaGirl has a lot of customers on both sides of the pond and HustlerGirl has very few customers anyplace on the planet.

I live in the U.S and first downloaded VGHD on 2-21-08 and from that time forward until a month or two ago had never heard of HustlerGirl . I just googled "desktop dancing girls" and found numerous listings for VirtuagirlHD and none for Hustlergirl . I stopped looking after the third page .
What does that tell you about which version is being downloaded more in the U.S.

The release-time problem for North American members has been mentioned in the forums multiple times since the roll out of the specials, but so far Totem has shown no inclination to change the way they release cards (Americans do pay much less for tickets though compared to the € price).

The Friday rush has also led to server problems and outages almost every weekend since the specials started, again without any acknowledgment from Totem.

Maybe things will change with the new software and the replacement of this site + the launch of the explicit site. The system will certainly be tweeked going forward. However, I don't recall that the calender system made all new cards available at a discount on the day of release, so at least some are benefiting now.

I'm not saying that my guess is correct, it is merely that, a guess which I can't substantiate one way or the other. It is certainly reasonable to say that Hustler as a brand name is generally considered to be American.

Ambler, have you tried paying in US Dollars? Does it work out any cheaper if you can?

We in the UK (and I guess elsewhere outside the Euro zone) have the choice of Euro or US Dollars. Currently paying 9.95 euros equates to about 9.00 GBP and 9.95 US Dollars converts to about 6.50 GBP.

I must admit that I always check now which is the better rate which I didn't used to do.

I wish I could but with my IP the server knows I'm about 15 minutes away from Totem's offices and ***** me to pay in euros. I probably should have bought tickets when I was in the States in August, but didn't because I wanted to save my resources for the explicit site.

Gettings tickets here is "your milage may vary"
tickets do not have a set value since you can buy them 1 for $2 all the way up to 50 for $50.
4 roomates buy melissa card.
1 got her for 1 ticket but he paid $2 for his ticket
1 got her for 1 ticket but he paid $1 for his ticket
1 got her for 2 tickers but he paid $2 for his tickets so it cost him $4
1 got her for 2 tickets but he paid $1 for his tickets so it cost her $2

I do not care how much anyone pays for a ticket/card in africa, australia, france, spain, bulgaria, africa, america, uk, japan or brazil.
I do care that EVERYONE is on the same quota of cards yet do not have equal access to getting them on discount. Even having a set time would help north and south america since you could set an alarm, get up, purchase, back to sleep.

And if people think it is no big deal then let vghd site offer as it is currently and let hustlergirls offer on different schedule. Or rotate the release time and see who ***** from other side.
