The technicality would be that it is not TV. It is not HD Ready or Full HD 1080. It is not 720p or 1080i or 1080p.
Even for HD TV the quality only really informs about the amount of information in the picture.
There was Virtuagirl, in those days pretty good technology for what today would be considered small and blurry by todays standards. Then VG2 a major step forwards. Then VG2 filmed with HD (or at least high res) cameras. Finally VGHD still using those HD cameras.
So the original source is definitely HD. Errors are introduced whilst removing the blue screen. Similar to Casino Royal on Bluray on HD TV. There is more work, less time, less budget. So the edges are more jagged than bond, the hole detection/removal is more jagged.
Having been with the product. I feel that this is HD.
