@HansSachs yes I agree it seems to become the norm and seems to push both newcomers and old members to spend more and more. But look around how some famous brands are pushing their customers to become ***** and spend more. People are camping in front of Apple stores two days ahead to BUY the latest iPhone. This long week-end there is the annual "May be the 4th" event for LEGO (famous brand of platic bricks) and believe me I read a forum of fans (AFOL they called theselves) and this is just a crazyness and indecent cashflow... just for plastic bricks reproducing Star Wars stuff.

@Alkasyn I do not know about the algorithm and odds but for sure: people having all the cards have already spent a lot of money to buy them all (just compute how much you still have to spend to complete your own collection) and of course when playing those games we cannot "win" cards so instead we "win" nothing.

Look at all the people reporting net gains of credits. They're people with full collections.

My hypothesis is this - due to how the flawed algorithm assigns 20 credits per card if you own all the cards (LOL - 3 Diamond members pay 13.75 per card) it seems that the win rate is high enough so that people with full collections can actually get ahead.

For all the rest of us this promotion is like the rest of scratch card-based ones - a waste of credits to get cards at a higher price that you'd normally not get at all.

Caveat emptor. I''m not participating in those.

It has been requested many times and by many members to have a clear path (which some others call "event") - that meaning: not a mere game of chance - in order to get a SEC; at least, during the week of each SEC's release.
It looks like, instead, not only 1 SEC is published every month, but also their association with games of chance is becoming the norm.

38 scratch cards in, I finally win a SEC, and it's not Belka's card, which frustrates me, as that was the only reason I was playing the game.

I appreciate the misunderstanding was mine, but it has soured me against this promo.

Unfortunately the idea of there being some special event being associated with a SEC is now the exception rather than the rule (as it was when they were first introduced). I wish that Totem would return to releasing them primarily as a reward for participating in some special event rather than just as one of the prizes in an ordinary game. In my opinion the games should only be a secondary mechanism for obtaining these cards some time after the special event itself.

J'ai joué une fois à la machine à sous, je suis tombé sur des réductions, certes avantageuses, mais pour des cartes qui ne m'intéressaient absolument pas. Si au moins on avait l'assurance que les cartes proposées soient celles de notre liste de voeux, ça pourrait peut-être justifier ces jeux. Sinon, il serait effectivement bien de mettre une limite temporelle à ces cartes spéciales qui pourraient se transformer en cartes normales au bout de quelques mois ou *****ées.

I spent exactly 100 credits and scratched 30 cards.
Net income: 8 cards "won" (that I would never have bought), 5 medium quality, 2 standard and only 1 crystal clear, that in any case I would have to pay
only 68,75 credits.
No more gambling anymore: I'll put myself in "standby mode" and I will never spend a single one credit until the next cash back offer (maybe associated with reload bonus...)

(I've shared my experience just to earn the "Well Done" achievement....)

The when a members wins one, They Should

A. Be given their choice of SEC cards to add to their collection
or
B. The SEC cards should be given in Reverse Chronological order, so the Newest SEC card is added 1st.

a Random SEC card only adds to the Frustration the members are feeling...

I won a Special Event Card at the Slot Mashine 2 weeks ago. I could choose which one of the specials I want. Why not here?

Honestly, this "Game" is just a rip off. I scratched 550 cards and while yes, from my count, I did win something from the majority of them. However, It's based on PURE luck and In my honest opinion, the game is rigged to screw you. I did win two SECs but not the one I was going for: (Belka).

I started to count how many losses I had a little after 250 cards, here are the results:

10 credits missed: 22
50 credits missed: 22
100 credits missed: 15
1 card missed: 23
Special Event Cards mised: 24 (Times I missed those cards in a row, 3 in a row, 3 in a row, and 2 in row) (I missed more times than there are ACTUAL Special Event Cards).

Total Missed: 106
Percentage (106 / 300) : 35.33% Loss

Now, some people might see that as not that bad, but it would get worse if I continue. I saw some people mentioning just paying a higher price for the card and I 100% agree with that. I will update the numbers if I continue.

Edit: My math was wrong, I corrected it now as I took 106 and divided it from 300 (The number of cards I scratched off after I started to keep count of the losses).

I spent about a hundred credits, and gave up frustrated, because all I got for my time and money was 3 cards I did not want, would not have bought at any price, and wish I could give back.

If Totem is going to make us jump through ridiculous hoops to get a card of our favorite girl (Belka), they at least, should give us the option of refusing random cards we don't want. I would rather have lost the credits than had those cards added to my collection.

This is really about totem wanting to make money off of people without providing a service because said service is itself costly.

It is a big gamble for totem because getting money for nothing tends to make a company passive in expanding and developing their product. They might need to go the extra mile to get better talent, camera, props, lighting but instead just fall back on the fact they can make up any mistake with an SE card. One of the issues is their current talent pool is so weak that they literally only have one or two girls that could even constitute an SE card, with Belka being one...Jessika, Anathasia, Tanya, Isabele, Kristina, Jill would fail as SEs because it unlikely people would even play the game for their cards...as they are all flawed with poor quality, uninspired shows, or lack of nudity. The casting, and the performances themselves have been noticeably weaker since last year...maybe an late winter slump or it could be a portent of things to come.

Okay normally I dont have great luck with these games... but felt like playing... bought spent 40 credits just to see.... first open, lost, second opening SEC (WHAT?) 3rd open 10 credits, 4th open old card didnt have or want...

Il est assez évident, comme dans tous les jeux de hasard, que le grand gagnant est celui qui l'organise et qui organise par le fait mème ceux qui y jouent.

Il me semble logique, que de continuer à jouer à ces jeux pour obtenir l'une de ces cartes, ne fait qu'encourager Totem à continuer dans cette voie.

On the previous scratch promotion, I lost 1200 credits. I was really angry as you can imagine. That’s over $100 down.

This time, I bought 400 cards (4000 credits worth), won the SEC and came out 200 credits up on my original balance. Of course, I didn’t buy the 400 cards all at once, I reinvested my winnings on each round, buying 5-10 cards each time.

What stood out most of all for me in both cases was that it’s boring. I really wish we could just pay extra for the SECs. They could still do gambling games for those who want to win, but as a Triple Diamond, I really just want to keep my 4500+ card collection complete.

Also the correct :00 second precision landing at 4:20 pm PST (= 5:20 pm PDT = 2:20 CEST) does not work. I just wanted to deliver it for the sake of completeness.

Since there was one girl, released this week, i didn't buy yet, i decide to wait for tonight....
and got the exact hour too .
It was just for the trill...to have the perfect time, even knowing it didn't work.
Still fun, and still love the achievements.

Not related, but i now have another "problem".
Beside the new cards released each week, i only have left to buy...
2 mediums quality cards, and...172 classics ones.
So, scratch games, to win a special card, like this week, is even less apealing than it was.
For peoples like us (with more than 4k cards), we should be able to simply buy jokers cards.

I have never experienced this kind of odds in any of the previous promotions. Little by little my credit count has crept upwards this evening.

I guess that statistically I should just keep on playing :) BUT I'm not 100% convinced that the odds aren't adjusted during the run of this promotion, so I guess I'd better stop while being ahead...

So thats where my 400 credits went and after 150 scratch cards I got no special shows....
You guys have fun with this.... you would think the odds would be better so people would use up more credits but I guess im officialy done with all of their promotions where they give out Joker cards or Special event cards, never win any of them, so done chasing them and done playing the game...

As I remember the Showering animations were virtual..
they were so small I could not tell if they had running water or not..
But I believe them to have just been a virtual shower, using static props.

As one who couldn't win any cards I was getting 20 credits when what I assume was a "card win" (completely blank prize circle) came up and I had a lot of them. Perhaps you should consider completing your collection😊

It took me 271 attempts to get the Belka SEC,

Net spend was about 160 credits (much cheaper than some secs - I gave up with the Kaisa Nord SEC at 400 credits (although I did win it later). Other SECs have been averaging around 250 credits to win (for me).

Some people did it in much less - that is how "luck" works.

I could have used a Joker Card but I have bugger all to spend my money on at the moment.
