I can help you. I'm running on a 2020 27" iMac using OSX 10.15.7. Both my data and models folders are on an external WD My Passport Ultra.

The key to your problem is almost certainly the preference file com.totem.Vghd.plist but you may be able to achieve your goal without touching that file. Caches have very little, probably nothing, to do with your problem. Reinstalling the software does not change the preference file.

Please answer the following questions:

1. What have you done? What folders have you moved to the external drive?

2. What do you want to achieve? Do you want to move the bulk of your data to the external drive or all of it? Moving just the models folder is usually enough. I had some special reasons for moving the data folder.

3. Do you know how to edit a preference file?

recently moved my library (141 cards) from imac 27 desktop to external drive and now cannot access any of my cards, but further no previews or access to istripper features even after changing folders in settings? i have uninstalled and reinstalled program several times? i have cleared all caches i can find? and when i reinstall it is never a clean install as it always defaults to my name already logged in after install? sooooo frustrated!!! any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. FG083-084 are fantastic and they run SOOO smooth allmost effortless

You must be familiar with making registry Edits, which are 100% Safe.
You must understand File Paths, and how to Create / find them.
You must understand how to Create and Edit Shortcuts.

And you Must manually Copy the BIN folder to the External Location each time you Install or Update.

You, the USER are responsible for being able to do all of the Above.
if you are a novice, then this is not for you.

Always Copy your Files and Make sure they Work, before you Delete them.
I never MOVE my Files. I do it in Three Steps
Copy to the new Location
Test that they work from the new Location
Then Delete them from the Original Location.

For Advanced users who know how to edit the registry and Create Shortcuts

Yes, the entire app, Data, and Models folder can be re-located on an External Drive.

But to do so, requires an Edit to the Totem Registry.
MainPath - Bin Folder location
DataPath - Data folder location

ModelsPath - Models Single Location
or
ModelsMultiPath - Models Multiple Locations

Note:
When you Install the Software
It will always make a bin folder on your Local C:\ drive.

When done with the Install or update
Just Copy the BIN folder to the external location.

If you Plan to move the drive from Machine to Machine
You MUST have a Separate set of Data folders for each Machine,
or you risk Having to do rebuilding all the time.

In My Sample picture
I have a Separate Data folder for Each Computer
Laptop
Desktop
Tower with 12 cores
Tower with 6 cores
I have a Shared Models folder for all on my Account and a 2nd Models folder for a test Account.
And a Common VGHD folder that has the BIN folder in it.

If your an Advanced PC user and understand how the Registry editor works
then this is something you can probably handle

If you're more of a novice PC user, then this is not for you..

The 2nd Picture is How I have my Totem Registry Edited
so the PATHS match where the BIN, DATA, and MODELS are located on the External Drive.

In the Bin Folder is a file VGHD.EXE
I create a Shortcut to that File
I then Pin that Shortcut to my TaskBar.

To Stop the GUI from opening when I Start it up
I use the Option -fromSilent must be a lowercase f and an Uppercase S

@18nraf2 - the wisest thing to do if you don't understand about editing registry values is - don't do it! By going into the registry, if you accidentally change or delete a value you could screw up your whole computer.

@Wyldanimal is best at explaining this stuff.

However, if you want to move your entire installation to a drive other than your c:drive it is possible - I know because my iStripper folders all sit on my external HDD - trouble is, I'm buggered if I can remember how I did it - but it would have been via an approved and safe method.

I've noticed that when under the featured tab when on the Black Friday section it says I have 75 tickets, but on the actual Black Friday tab itself it says I have 98 tickets? Does anyone else have these inconsistencies?

On the face of it the result you describe would indeed be very unlikely, but if the 6 XXX cards were all SECs then that would alter the odds considerably and might well change the probability from exccedingly unlikely to being not an unreasonable outcome.

I had 25+ cards availables to win with the Twenty five game (including the event cards) and I won all the "normal" cards and none of XXX cards.

I now have 6 XXX cards left ... so, 16+ "normal" cards won easyly and none of the XXX... it seems very impropable!!!

Is there any mention that the XXX cards could not be win with the free card "drops" in this game?

if it is not a bug, this must have been programmed that way... probability of random result like that are very unlikely...

Note: It is not a ***** about not having enough return for my credits, I have won 60+ gift cards that I can use to have those XXX cards for free... it just only seems so... strange... and improbable...
