It gives you random set of new demos, that's all. This trick can be used as a solution, if your demo carousel gets stuck for some reason (demos.lst file might be corrupted and can't be overwritten next time).

If you want to start from zero, you mast Register again, but as a mod Oquijan said - what's the point? Unless you want to get a particular demo of course.

Its such a shame Marta didn't get any further up the ladder, I was expecting her to go a bit higher than 1 place after her round with Vicky! :-(

Oh, is an old way known to restart the carousel and no, lol, is not illegal. Nevertheless, is not infinite, not at all, and it can backfire. If you don't want to end up living the "groundhog day" I would not be messing with that just because. ;)

You can find out if there are any VIP cards you don't already own by going to the VirtuaGirls Store and clicking More filters. Then filter on VIP Cards and Not In My Collection. As a VIP member, you can then immediately "purchase" any of them for "zero credit." After that, just keep your eyes open for new VIP cards released every four weeks and again "purchase" each one of them for zero credit.

By the way, VIP cards are not released at random, and they are not exactly released once a month either. For a couple of years now, they have been released EXACTLY every fourth Friday. The last one came out on April 25, and if they stick to the past releasing schedule, the next ones will come out on May 23, June 20, July 18, etc. That's 13 new VIP cards per year. Enjoy!

@lefty337 What do you mean you bought a card before you found out it was a VIP card.

That is not possible. The VIP card gets released once a month or there abouts among the new releases.

If you are saying that when you select the VIP for download and then get charged for it you can get a refund as you are a VIP member and it should be free. Just contact a member of the team, probable Celine is best.

If this is not the case can you explain it a bit better so that someone can help. ;-D

If by that you mean knowing before the actual release, nope. If you want to be sure, though, Totem always release the VIP cards at the beggining of each month and they make a thread in the News section to announce the card. You can also visit the store and look for the VIP cards there, there is even a filter to search only for VIP cards.

Actually, nothing like that is needed. You just need to uncheck the "Allow downloading after program quits" box and then quit the software. You go next to the data folder and delete file "demos.lst".

Then you restart VG and there you are, the carousel is back to square one. But, unless you're adamant about getting a particular demo, what's the point? You're only delaying a lot more the chance to get other cards you might want in the future. And if you miss the demo again for any reason?

Is there any way that you can see what the upcoming VIP card is going to be? I have purchased several cards only to find out that they were released as VIP cards after the fact. It's been very frustrating.

I'm not sure about this, but I think I read somewhere before that if you turn off your computer while VG is still running (the "V" icon is still in your taskbar), it might cause your carousel to reset itself too. I always close VG before turning off my computer instead of letting Windows shut it down for me during a shutdown of my computer.

... It depends how many demos you have installed to the moment, but in case where you have to choose an option to Register Again (on your software), it'll reset you demo carousel back to the day 1 and all the thing will start all over again.

At least it was some times ago so.

Your demos are there cause they are downlowded, so your software won't gonna need to download them again each time they pop-up. You can't watch them unless on the carousel.

I get them on a rotational basis, is a cycle. I can see this easily cause I'm not missing too many cards. I dunno if there's something different for users with few shows, but if it is a rotation for everybody, you might not see a particular demo again in a long time.

When i first started using my VG client i noticed that some girls (same cards) come to me as demos again and again . But suddenly it stopped happening. Now i get completely different cards every day. But i am curious ... i see all those demos are still stored on my computer. Is there any chance i can get them again as a demo? Or can i watch them somehow? I just realised i might have skiped a very interesting card (Angela in pink outfit). Dont say i can always directly buy it from the site. I know it! But still curious how the system works. Or will they just come again at random in half a year?

Hi @Falcon, re alternatives to your your Sticky thread request.

I have tried search function here for definitions of terms used in SCN scene file syntax and the search parameters could be expanded to "top list" Totem approved tagged definitions, making it more useful to people seeking understanding of the process. As well as that, it would encourage people to use search more generally, and take a load off the moderators re new threades & repetition.

Another approach adopted by other large interactive adult websites, is for power users like @WA, Starryk, yourself and others, to collaborate on creation of a Wiki devoted to encapsuating all this "how to " information in one place.

BTW, thanks to StarryK's answer to a PM I sent, I downloaded GIMP and started muddling through the User's Manual. Learning a lot of answers to some of the previous questions I've posted here while reading about making .PNG files with Transparency and Alpha Channels, and how it all works, etc.

I'm gonna get "dangerous" here in the near future when it comes to creating new scene files to share, once I figure out things like how to break a digital photo down into it's separate components so I can have things like the plan1.png, plan2.png, plan3.png files to use as "masks" in creating a scene. Trial and error while learning, but the possibilities are making me drool.

Could you make this thread a "sticky" so it will stay at the top of the "Everything About VirtuaGirls" list? At least for now? When it falls off the "Hottest Topic" list on the Community page, I never know where to find it again. I'm guessing as more people start playing with making custom scenes (and learning how to do it with questions and answers in this thread for now), a "sticky" would be easier for them to find them posted here. In the future a dedicated "User Created Scenes" could be made and any scenes here moved to it (to clean up this thread from all the other stuff in it right now). ;-)

It would also be nice (and much appreciated) if something could be done with all the "How To..." posts from the several threads explaining how the .scn files are constructed, what the parameters in them are used for, and the "why" behind it all. Those posts are getting spread out in quite a few different threads now. For instance, it would be really nice if all of Wyldanimal's examples and explanations were in one thread, something like "Scene File Tutorial" or similar. Other member's examples and insights could be moved to it also as applicable.

Although the versions 1.2.x.x are still in Beta, I think we are all discovering things about the core program too now by creating new Scene files. Obviously, some of the things in Beta v1.2.0.2 were adopted because of things some of us discovered creating Scenes in v1.2

Just a couple ideas to make the forum more user-friendly for people wanting to find or create new Scene files for the new Full Screen.
