iStripper Survey

Celine,

Just did the survey. Overall, iStripper is a big improvement for the Desktop mode users. But it is a disasterous step backwards for Full Screen users.

Some of us have posted this concern in the past, but we have yet to see any definite response from the team.

Does Totem intend on providing a way in iStripper to SAVE a list, then RELOAD that list, and have the cards that were ACTIVATED in that saved list at the time it was saved AUTOMATICALLY activated for use in the Full Screen mode?

Currently, saving a "playlist" and using it does not activate any cards in My Collection. Regardless of the number of cards or clips loaded from a "playlist", the Full Screen will only use ONE clip at a time. This is useless when using a Full Screen Scene that has multiple model positions for more than one clip to be displayed. The only way for a user to get more than ONE clip to play at a time in Full Screen is to MANUALLY go to My Collection and hand select the model cards. This is totally frustrating if the "list of activated cards" the user wants to use is several hundred cards (or more). In VGHD v1.2.0.84 a saved "playlist" could be reloaded and the Full Screen would use as many clips as were needed to fill the number of clip nodes in the scene file.

iStripper has TWO modes of operation...Desktop and Full Screen. PLEASE make the Full Screen mode capable (again) of using a saved "list" of model cards, the way it could be done in VG v1.2.0.84. Heck, Totem even included the default Paris Penthouse Club scenes that allowed more than one model clip at a time to be played in Full Screen, and the user could use a "saved playlist" to select the cards they wanted.

WHY was that taken away? And will it be returned BEFORE Totem ceases supporting the previous versions of VG in the next month or two?

iStripper Survey

iStripper is better, it just requires some work here and there until finally it will be ready and then there will be (as always are and always sb will propose next one) some things that could be added to make it "stellar" ;)

iStripper is also a bit different as every new software edition usually is. Users have certain habits. Designers are obligated to push into future.
We have to remember that designers do everything to make software better but sometimes they see things a bit different than end users. Sometimes way, way different. 15-10 years ago I was making quite nice money only for translating end user wishes into interface project for my friends - very high class programmers; can do, can't be done back to users and countless nights I spent for finding proper ways to do this so we all could make good money from it and I am very happy that users still are using them and calling after all those years to have some small updates/changes.

From one side, as end user I would like it to be ready just now, but from my experience I know how difficult, how much time and how much frustration sometimes it takes to develop the final release...
There are always some draw backs (Microsoft tends to make things "uneasy", too), some missing or forgot details.
We just have to be patient and point their attention to them.
Some of them are not high priority for overall project and some will be seen as such.

So:
GREAT, GREAT JOB! and please go on :D

Below that I wrote after first official iStripper release and forget to post it ))

1.2.102: needed a "cosmetic" work in UI. Girl's page: purchased and not purchased cards have a different position of vertical divisor in the left frame, therefore full png images have different height (hope in future builds full pngs will displayed not in fixed small size). The cards in right frame have a different spacing between them (purchased and not) and displayed in very small size, I think nothing bad to output them in their original size 162x242 because the scrolling works fine with standard mouse weel (to users who dislike new GUI: not needed to hit the slim scroll bars, simply use a mouse weel like in a web browsers). And yes, better not fixed size of right frame, because in 1920x1080 a lot of space bottom just not used and it looks as a development version. I'm easy to use any test layout in my selection to buy, but the appearance of already purchased cards is important for me: on My Collection tab I want to see the card images in their original size (with 100% sharpness, zoom on hovered card from 100%, not to 100%) and with a little less card slots spacing, as it well done on Store tab. About left and right slides: all OK for me. Filters, searching, sorting, dropping, ordering, playing, looping - all works fine.

Who afraid to try new iStripper - really nothing to afraid, 1.2.102 works FASTER than 1.2.0.84 and LESS load the CPU. Only playing take the resources, new integrated downloader works more accurate than previous version, new GUI is light for old hardware, so you can easy update to new iStripper even on weak notebooks.
