For what it's worth, I also like the normal cards more.

After seeing a girl masturbate on the desktop for 15 minutes I'm simply not that interested in similar shows anymore (especially since the outfit is mostly gone at that point anyway).

I've bought much less in the last few years, but I don't know if that's the only reason for that or not.

Whatever the case may be, I don't think we will be seeing more non-XXX cards - although I am grateful for the disappearance of the "table-only" cards.

Now that was a waste of an outfit if there was any. It's criminal how some of the best outfits were table-only (Melody Marks, for example, but also others I can't name off the top of my head).

The shader holdname3a.fsh was quite possibly derived from some code from @TheEmu originally and then hacked about by me in my usual messy way.

If you want to "increase the opacity" - I assume you mean "decrease the alpha" so that the name is more transparent you could try adding the line...

gl_FragColor.a *= 0.5;

...just before the final closing bracket in the code. This will halve the alpha level of whatever is output. You could hack this "0.5" about to get the level of opacity you want from 0... completely invisible to 1... unchanged.

It's also worth noting that most of the top rated cards on here are non-XXX. Models like Lana Lane, Belka, Gloria, etc are mostly/all non-XXX. Those obviously sell well, or the models wouldn't have been invited back so many times. So I think it goes to show that given the right model/outfit/performance, a non-XXX card can still be a good (if not top) seller.

Opacity in shader

Can you enlighten me a little as to the code in a (fairly simple) shader?

I have downloaded @Calgon Carousel_1_12, and tried to understand the shader holdname3a.fsh.
It would simplify a lot of my permanent name code which I adopted from @TheEmu many moons ago.
However, it does not appear possible for me to increase the opacity of the permanent names developed by use of the shader.

Would a different holdname shader be more amenable?

I just thought I'd throw this out there and see what everyone thinks. I have been a subscriber for over 15 years. I own every card just about (I think) and I love the neverending stream of stunning women and the overall content. Over the last couple years I have become a little frustrated with the content shift to xxx and I have been expressing it by commenting on the individual shows. Just a FYI I DO enjoy xxx and taskbar content (some of it anyway) I just believe that the focus is shifting too much in that direction and other content such as dancing and standing/pole stripping and teasing is shortened or cut out entirely. Recently I've been getting called out as being a "complainer." This in and out of itself doesn't bother me but it does raise the question. Do I ***** too much in everyone's opinion? Just to be clear I have NOT NOR WOULD I EVER call for certain content to be taken out entirely just because I don't like it. I am, shocking no one, with @jclown781. The stripping and dancing in the regular cards is unique to iStripper and provides an experience that you can get nowhere else. The XXX, well, not so much. It's clear, though, that the XXX cards are outselling the regular ones, probably substantially. If a model is willing to do XXX cards, we will, at BEST, get one regular card to 4 or 5 XXX cards. Assuming they aren't all XXX cards, as has happened more than once. And to make room for 15 minutes of XXX content on these cards you have to cut out a lot.

I wish they would do more balanced releases between regular and XXX cards for each model. But I don't think I am going to get my wish. Fortunately I have more than a thousand 3 or 4K regular cards which can provide a good deal of consolation. I just don't think they're going to get a lot of new company.

I have no problem with the XXX content but it's not the reason I would buy a card; there's only so much a girl can do while shoving plastic. I prefer dancing, standing, stripping, costumes, etc. I'll take sexy over porn all day long.

Hi @jclown781, I actually search out your reviews when I preview a card I don't have. I don't mind the XXX cards, but your comments help me identify the ones that have good actual stripping. After all, that's what attracted me to iStripper in the first place. I agree that a beautiful outfit is ***** on an all-table card. The XXX content is fine if there is a good lead-up to it.

Ditto with the VR shows. I enjoy the tease way more than the XXX content, which follows pretty much the same formula all the time.

I actually much prefer reviews like yours @jclown781. You actually offer your thoughts & opinions on the contents of the cards, which is much more helpful & valuable when compared to many of the other reviews. Some others may not agree with your opinion, but that doesn't make it any less valid. You're offering feedback to Totem & other users through the method that they provided, you're doing nothing wrong imo.

I agree with the others as well. The dancing/stripping is one of the things that makes this product unique. There are 1000 other websites you can visit if all you want to see is a girl crawling around pleasing herself. As others mentioned, mixing the dancing with XXX content is good, but it is best when balanced properly.

Personally, my preference would be for all cards to be full 30+ minute striptease shows, and then XXX is just an added bonus (extra clips/time) for some cards. Even if that meant that the longer XXX cards cost more than non-XXX cards, I would be ok with that.

I don't agree. They are XXX cards and as such there should be always more XXX content in the card then other content. Totem does that what sells best, not what some of us would like to see more.
Also the whole comment and rating system of the cards is most useless and should be canceled and replaced by something else.

There has certainly been more of a shift towards "XXX / XXX table" cards (f-cards) at the expense of "standing / dancing / pole dancing / stripping" cards (e-cards). I do find it pretty unfortunate because many outfits don't really get taken advantage of during XXX table clips. I also like standing / dancing / stripping clips significantly more than XXX table clips.

I agree with @jclown781. Nowadays the shift is towards f-cards. In most cases a model does now 1 e-card and 5 f-cards. At least half of the time is spent on XXX-table clips. With the focus on the XXX-table clips the outfit is limited and with the limited outfit the stripping proces in the Standing and Pole clips is done in four or five clips.

A great card - for me the best in 2023 - was Kelly Collins/Grab My Ballastics. A great outfit with interesting in between stages with part of the outfit before getting the Nude and Real Full Nude stadium.

My wish like I have many times written in my comments: at least half of the time with Standing and Pole clips, preferably 60% or more like it was in Adel Morel/Evening Interlude. And also outfits with blouse, skirt, dress plus bra.

Models with Dance and Pole dance skills shouldn't spent too much time on the table like happened with Geishakyd. .

My complaint is that you post in one long run on Sentence and it makes it difficult to read.

try breaking it up,
use the enter key at the end of a Sentence.
