your analyse is good, but you miss one small detail.
Leyla Fiore card is THE ONLY CARD release with crystal clear + quality this week.
The Paulina Soul card is crystal clear quality (the old one), not crystal clear +, BUT encoded with the new codec.
So, that mean that the new codec work without adding cpu cycle to a show, and it's probably the bigger file, and add details and transparency levels that make the crystal clear + card (Layla Fiore) more difficult to read, and a little choppy on some pc.

e1208 is working fine here. It's pulling about 14/20% CPU and 4.5GB @1080p.

i5-2500 @330, 12 GB GDDR5, Geforce 970.

The preview, however, munched around 50/60% CPU...

Working fine also here, don't see any jumpiness or other issues and picture quality is great. Only using 5-6% of CPU (3K card, 1080p monitor)

For what it's worth, "Speccy" says:

Win 10 64-bit
Intel Core i7 @3.20 GHz
Coffee Lake 14nm Technology
16G RAM Dual-Channel
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (HP)

That's why more ppl need to post their specs. Im wondering if its a case of being developed on a Intel platform / optimized for that platform. I know AMD instruction set on the Ryzen brought it closer on par to Intel but this new codec could be using something AMD users or older cpu users may not have. I was only pulling 3.5% on VGHD and it was still choppy so something is clearly a miss.

My computer can easily handle it. I have monitored my gpu and cpu usage while it's running and they are barely affected. If it truly is a problem on our end, it must be that the new show is poorly optimized for certain hardware.

I'm starting to think it has to do with amd cpu. The other two people who said it works fine for them have intel cpu, while cdub and myself have amd.

In my case, both "crystal clear" and "crystal clear+" cards use same CPU and memory amount, there are no significative variations. But "cristal clear+" one play is quite jumpy.

@cdub87, AMD Ryzen 3 2220U; graphics AMD Radeon Vega; 8GB DDR4; SSD (but Is animations are stored on an external HDD)

I just updated graphic drivers and software to version 19.4.1. There is a noticeable improvement now while playing the new crystal clear+ animations, but I still see some stuttering.
Paulina Soul's new card (which had some little problem) looks perfect now; Leyla Fiore's one (which was very jumpy) is still jumpy, but less.

Regarding jumpy performance on Crystal Clear+.....

I also get a slightly jumpy performance on the demo of the Leyla Fiore card. Slow motion is unusable because of the flicker, but that's not new to CrystalClear+. But the image is impressively sharp and even the Ginebra Bellucci card is better than before.

I'm running an AMD Ryzen 5 with 8GB DDR4 and, if I remember correctly, a GeForce 1070. The 3k cards are running on a 4k monitor at 60fps. It probably slows the refresh to 30fps, but I can't tell and FRAPS won't tell me anything about iStripper frame rates. Cpu utilisation with the new codec is a little higher, going from about 11% to 16%, with CrystalClear+ taking 22%.

I'll try updating the drivers and will await the improvements forecast by Totem. I'm a bit bemused that they aren't using AMD Fluid Motion, which is brilliant on PowerDVD - maybe it's incompatible with the codec or maybe they just haven't tested CrystalClear+ with AMD.

The stuttering issue seems to be specific to the Leyla Fiore card as the new Li Moon scene which is also CC+ is fine on my end.

I also just won the Li Moon card and for me it works just as smoothly as the Leyla Fiore card. No stuttering, no lagging, taking about 4,5 - 5,5 % CPU when watched at 100% in Desktop mode (3K card, scaled to 1080p monitor). Really loving the image quality during the first few clips I have had time to watch.

EDIT: also love Li Moon's performance :) Wonderfully campy and silly in the best possible way!

I just tried again and won the Li Moon card. Will report back after my current round of 3K upgrades finish. I forgot I had over a 1K cards to upgrade.

Update - Just downloaded and playing the Li Moon CC+ and it is flawless. The motion looks funny but I can only guess cause it is soooo clear and fluid now. The Leyla Fiore clearly has encoding issues(atleast for AMD users it seems.) and needs a reprocessing.

I did some testing, after winning the Li Moon card, and buying the Leyla Fiore one.
On my end, both card seem to run fine, no shuttering, using about the same cpu cycle, depending of the clip.
i have a DualCore Intel i3-2100, 3100 MHz, with 12 Gb DDR3
and my videocard is Asus R7 240 serie 2Gb

I love the Li Moon card, and i don't know if it's the different make up, but all the details look sharper than Leyla, specially her face.

I also did test with 1080p download, and 3k one, with the crystal clear + cards, and, oh yes, i clearly see more details on the 3k one, on my Toshiba 43" 1080p tv, in desktop mode, specially on table clip at more than 100% (120-135). I try with a normal crystal clear one, and the difference is there too, in details, like tatouage. 3k download really help, when using desktop mode at high magnification.

Only a Mod or a Team member can tell us the truth about... but are we sure Li Moon's "Div.Ass" card (which I don't have) is crystal clear+? The two previously released cards of her last shooting are not... I think Leyla Fiore's card was shooted in crystal clear+ mode, Li Moon's "Div.Ass" was shooted with old cam and just encoded with new codec (as Paulina Soul's one is).

Should have added I am also seeing problems with the Leyla Fiore card.

Not actually freezing but almost as if it is dropping a frame every now and again.

The Li Moon card plays fine.

Both cards are 1080p because at the moment I only have 1080p monitors.

That ends the theory of it having to do with amd, since you have intel cpu.

New version is not playing videos in the app. Only Buffering - not playing.

Well, I add to the Mess..
Re-Downloaded the e1208 Card today..
I've got a Potato Machine 1366 x 768 screen
W10 Home
4GB ram
It's got an Intel GPU
I down load the 1080p clips on that machine.

I've not had the Stuttering on the e1208 card or the Other Clear+ card e1194
Full size at 100%

The cards are on a Networked NAS device.
I have Streaming of the Clips turned off.
Means they Load into Memory and are played back from memory.

So I have No Answer why on some of your High End PC's there are playback issues.
If anyone should be experiencing issues, It should be this Potato machine.

Leyla Fiore video won't play for me inside iStripper, but videos from other girls work fine.

I have to confirm Leyla Fiore's downloadable video doesn't play in software.
Maybe it's the new codec?
In any case, I downloaded the video with 1080p resolution (on my own media played it worked perfectly, then) and noticed that it has 50 fps rate ("old" videos had 30) and that the file is far bigger (approx. the double for same duration) than old ones.

Still could be as a Intel dual core w/ hyperthreading has no issues but a 8 core w/ hyperthreading will not run smoothly. Still more AMD systems have been affected that Intel. AMD cpu use to be exact clones but now adays there are more different than the same(as can be seen with all the low level access leaks.)

I can confirm now it plays in the video player in the software. It may be a internet connection thing.

Crystal Clear + quality looks great! 😍
But I don’t really like this model (girl), so I didn’t buy this card, but I repeat - the quality and color tone look great! 👍And I will be happy to buy these cards, I hope the quality will not be reduced with time.

I can't stand this new "quality" standard. I can't see any improvements, but I see the high performance demand. I have a powerful Gaming PC and this show will not run smoothly. It's not choppy, but the frame rate is much lower than in the other clips. I really recommend to let the customer choose the quality level ...

Probably new clips have higher frame rate than older ones and our systems drop some frames. If that's the case, I think reverting to old 30fps (which are more than sufficient) could be a good solution for Totem.
The video crispness and detail, instead, is showing really an huge emprovement, even played at 720p.
