I stopped rating cards/girls after only doing so for a very short time. I stopped because I got frustrated with how some people based their ratings.

She wasn't wearing a perma-smile........2
I had a problem trying to download the animations........0
Some random bug that was fixed almost immediately blah blah blah........0
I wanted some other card to be released today........1
I did a pre pay for the month (practically the same way a subscription works) and I didn't want this card........0

Is that right ? I think not.

To me, ratings should be done in this manner......

• The girl - What do you think of her ? Pretty ? Nice body ? Do you like her personality ? Also, if it's not more related to her outfit, do you like her hair & makeup ?
  You know......the girl.


• The outfit - Pretty simple there. Do you like what she's wearing ? Just rate it without comparing it to something else.


• Her performance - Way too many things can come into play for me to even begin to list and even then, each of us will have our own ideas about what to look for.

I think if everyone was rating on the same basic principle, we could have had a pretty solid system. With some giving ratings of zeros because they had an issue with downloading the show the first time they tried and other totally unrelated things, I just don't see how the rating system can even begin to be reliable at all.


Anyway, can we please NOT turn this thread into a complete trainwreck and get this back on topic ?

I believe it's also possible to select the external drive alternate location while running install and then the registry entries would be handled by the installer ... but, I haven't tried it. There might also be some "Windows startup" entries to disable to prevent vghd from attempting to run anything when the external drive is disconnected during PC boot up.

Is it possible to require a username/password for every time the program is run? Currently, the program automatically logs in and anyone with the files could access my account as soon as they find out the fixed vghd access password.

I suggested this long ago, and @Rex asked the forum to comment on the suggestion. I can only suppose the overall response was negative. I can't see any particular production problems in providing one series of clips, of the several used for each card, in which the performer started with hair up and after a few clips let it down. Problems, in the form of extra time being needed to re-do the hair, would only occur if this was repeated. The particular series of clips could be either the first or the last shot for a card.

I think that such a feature would fit well with cards that start with formal clothing such as that worn by office bosses, secretaries, librarians etc. who then reveal a less formal aspect of their nature.

I have almost entirely given up on ratings though I do sometimes scan the comments that accompany them. I would like to be able to provide my own private ratings seperately on several aspects of a card - e.g. the beauty of the performer, her skill as a performer, how much I like the clothing etc. - and have this integrated into the iStripper app itself rather than using an external database. But if I had this ability I would not, as is now the case, rate a typical card as 4.5 or 5 stars and it would make little of no sense to average over several users who will most likely be using very different scales for each of these aspects.

I've found the simple act of a girl who has her hair pinned up somehow, and then unpinning it so it falls on her shoulders to be sexy. I don't remember this ever happening in a show; which is odd in itself.

Some people may be little 'too' ***** up on ratings.

Members will give ratings based on things completely unrelated to the girl, her outfit and her performance

Quite a number of members also think the card comments section is the place to report bugs and will rate according to those bugs

In the My Collection tab you'll find the number of shows on the left. Directly below the filters are visible and directly below are the shows to see.

If the line containing the filters is not displayed, delete the contents of the search box on the right.

The filters are now displayed. Go from filter to filter and activate all sub-filters. (Click on all.)

Now all shows are displayed.

All filters starting with the second from left to right filter are connected to each other by operation AND.
This means that if all subfilters are deactivated in one of these filters, then no show will be displayed.

After a Full Install
you can Copy the Folders to any drive you want.
Then Just edit the Registry values so the Paths to each folder type is Correct.

It's not a portable install though.

the PC the Drive is connected to
Must have the Proper registry values, and of Course you need an internet connection.
But if you Don't want any of the folders on your C drive.
Everything can be moved to an External Drive, with registry edits for the Paths.

also the Shortcut to the Executable would also need to be Edited.
Or, just navigate to where the Bin folder is on the external Drive
and run the VGHD.exe directly from that folder.
No Shortcut required.

So it is just,
Copy the folders
Edit the Registry
Edit the Shortcut if you want one.

I disabled my shows and cannot figure out how to enable them again. Help?

What other shows have clothes similar to the dress in 0845 Kate Shoo - Sparkling Image?
by that I mean like these thin tiny ropes that theres tons of, idk what they are called, those tiny rope things on the bottom of the dress. Are there other shows with clothes similar to that? I think it looks really good.

I have a Windows 10 PC. I've been searching through the forum and help trying to find an example on how to install and run everything on an external drive. I don't mean just models and data folders, but the bin application as well. I think I have seen plenty of information on how to have the program install on main PC, register with existing account, and access models from external hard drive ... I'm not asking how to do that.

A portable install of simply extracting files would be ideal, with no need to register with Windows/registry, but from what I've seen only the standard OS installer is available?

Would it work to reinstall (uninstall(save models)/install) and point the installer to an external drive to install and run everything from there (bin/models/data)?

Then, I'm thinking the only traces of the program on main PC would be start program links, registry entries, and install/uninstall programs entry.

Well said @shodan084, it's exactly why I don't like the cage, the amount of screen space that it requires prevents me from being able to use it & continue getting work accomplished. I don't care for the slide for the same reasons, it shows up right in the middle of the screen without any option to move it to the side.

Kudos to team TOTEM for this current promo! It's given me the chance to finally use up 100's of credits to buy many of the cards that I've been wanting.

Sorry @Number6, you're examples can't be changing my mind. It's really to much metal on the screen. It only shows me, why I'm not a cage fan.

One of the really nice things about the cage is that it gives the girls additional support to perform Standing XXX scenes, something that is sadly lacking in the current XXX format. So yes I would be happy with the cage coming back occasionally - particularly for the XXX cards

I agree with @TheEmu that the cage clips are a litte bit to "heavy" for the desktop. I'm absolutely not a cage fan 👎. So, let the cage in the basement, where it belongs to be. Believe me, it's better so.

I am not a cage fan, but it could be interesting to have back some cage clips on cards in which the model wears so-called "fetish" outfits (e0128 is one of best examples)...

I agree with @gkar45. I find that the cage clips are a bit "heavy" for the desktop but they are very useful in fullscreen scenes. I would welcome the occassional card that included a cage clip or two.

I Kwon that the limit are 7 cards stored, but the issue was that I cannot replace the first 7-10 cards because the download speed go to 0.1 and I cannot continue downloading more previews.

As @HansSachs told me, the problem was that I had activated "Allow p2p" on settings. I uncheck it and all returned to work, also the speed to download cards raised a lot.
