I noticed that when the rule went down awhile back, that we could not post Babe pics from other sites(due to legal concerns) that the posting of VG/DB Babe Celebration threads started in earnest (Best legs, ass, tits, etc.)Personally I took part in this with the same enthusiasm that I felt when I was doing all those babes from elsewhere threads we were doing before.
Example of what was able to happen before:

http://www.virtuagirl.com/forumPost.php?foId=9&ftId=3186&pageNb=1

That was a very fun time & made for a fine & creative community experience!

I think that the polls now are that spirit & desire to play & communicate as a community regarding the Babes, that is seeking a form of expression that fits in the "new", more necessarily restrictive, Forum atmosphere.
In other words, a fun & interesting way to relate together in this Babe centered community that corresponds to the new rules!
A way of checking our own perceptions against "the great OTHER".
But mostly, a way to play together.
Like always, there are people who, for whatever reasons, good or bad, just don't play. For them whatever the playground is, is just a bunch o' silly....you add the words here!
As I wander off into metaphor here, there are also those in the role of "parents" who, having to do their serious duties & sometimes clean up after the players, just see the work of it all & do not get the fun aspect.
So the community, seeking a way to play together, invents games. The mods (regulators...yes even "parents")seek to control it so all is safe within the established rules, and they sigh, sometimes in exasperation, as the players run off giggling with WankyPanky Glee & they are left to "straighten up" the place.
(humming in exasperation that ol' tune -"Kids! What the heck is wrong with these kids today?"
Well perhaps "kids" is too limiting as a description but they are definitely "the players".
(note that the mods, whether by design of their role or just personal preference, do not partake in the new play!)
Not a put down...just a noting of roles.
So....Play nice or get spanked & no piccy's for you young man!!

Zoony – I agree it would be rude to compare your girlfriend to mine, unless they are competing for the same job. Then we would need a way to distinguish them, a way to quantify their traits and rate their talents. Denigrating a person during an evaluation process is unnecessary and uncalled for. That has rarely happened in a VsPoll, and certainly was not done by any of the people I’ve been working with to produce VsPolls. We adore these women. Our polls are to celebrate them and in some cases introduce them to members who for some reason are unfamiliar with them.
When comparing people, it is important to note what, who and why they are being compared. What kind of models would we be seeing here if Totem did not search out the specific talents needed to be a great VG? How are they to know which models will keep the company in business, which girls would drive the business to greater success by inspiring more people to become customers, unless they have a way of judging customers’ reactions to them?
How would a football team know to buy the contract of a specific player if they didn’t compare him or her to the other professionals? That’s what we’re talking about with VirtuaGirls. They are professional models and they expect to be graded on performance, looks, personality and other talents and skills specific to their niche in the industry. They use these evaluations to develop themselves and their careers. It’s how they get hired.

I'm new to this and I seem to keep offending just by asking questions of the wrong subject, at the wrong time with the wrong people.
What I would like to say is that, as has been shown many times on the news. There are people out there who think it appropriate and clever insult other people because of the anonymity that they think that the internet provides. Not only is this cowardice in the extreme but worse of all, the object of these attacks are people with feelings and must be respected as such.
Although I realize that almost all the models shown wouldn't give a person like me the time of day, this doesn't give me the license to compare these people in a ***** manner, or go out for my way to offend them, obviously we choose which model we like above another, based on a fantasy, the criteria being what level of sex object we regard them. Who and what they are doesn't come into it.
I feel it odd that we are encouraged to judge and compare these people in a completely uncaring fashion without respecting them as humans with feeling and a life outside porn, it's a job, that isn't all they are.

I think that the only way to do this without offending is to chart it out and then you can see how many members are buying witch model, if Joanne has 10 sales and Jo has 5 then Joanne is the more popular.
constructive, unoffensive observations and criticism can be made in the members comments.

I've noted that on a large number of occasions members are told that they will be barred from the site if they don't comply with the polices and procedures the management, which is, of course, the choice of the organization and in some way commendable.
But Apart from when people are being deliberately aggressive, rude or inappropriate in some way. Do you not think this a bit harsh?
People have a right to an opinion as long as it's not *****, am I wrong?
Anyway if it did happen, and nothing illegal has been committed it's not like being fired from a job, or another life changing issue, if we are removed, is it? No offense intended.
I hope you don't regard this as too aggressive, that isn't my intention.
Thank you for your time

With all respect, and best intended regards
Z
