1) I removed the check marks from auto Download, and download after quit.
I did this before I quit VG.
2) After I had deleted the files from the Models Folder, and renamed the Models.lst file. I restarted VG. Now Card a0167 on the Demo Carousel has a Download button.

The GUI does not provide a way to re download trailers from the Demo carousel.
But you can do it Manually.

on advance settings,
remove check from AutoDownload demos
remove check from Download after quit.
See Pic on next post.

Quit VG

For the card you want again, example a0167
Browse to the Models Folder a0167
Delete a0167.vhdtrailers
delete all files that end with .demo

browse to Data folder
find models.lst file
rename it or delete it.

restart VG

after collection rebuilds

the demo on carousel will now have a download button

I have a bunch of trailers that look like they are loaded (the picture of the girl is in full color and it's set to active) but when I click, nothing happens. Some new ones go on but I think some trailers got interrupted in download. Anyone know any way to reset an individual demo? It's in the carousel but just won't play. Any ideas? Thanks!

Some of the polls that members create in this forum are very thought provoking and fun, and some are also frustrating because they only allow each of us only one vote. For example, in the polls for "Best newcomer in 2012" or "Who has the best (fill in the blank)?," it's so hard to have to pick only one. Why not have a kind of poll where we can cast multiple votes with more "points" going to our favorite, with a schedule of declining "poll points" going to our second place, third place, etc.?

I hope this is not too much trouble, but the number-crunching involved would be a piece of cake for the computer. I would like to see a schedule of declining points for these tough decisions as follows:

First choice gets 10 "poll points."
Second choice gets 7 points.
Third choice gets 5 points.
Fourth choice gets 3 points.
Fifth choice gets 1 "poll point."
An important aspect of this schedule is that the largest gap is between first and second place.

If allowing each voter to cast some kind of vote for as many as five girls is way too complicated, a simpler schedule could be 5 points for first choice, 3 for second, and 1 for third place.

If implemented, I believe this system would both make the voting more fun and the results more meaningful. But as with everything we want, it's more work for Totem.

@thesums re his question about whether most of us "go for the subscriptions." I certainly do. If you believe that most of the VGHD girls are gorgeous and you're eventually going to want to own all of them, subscriptions are by far the best deal. If you're in a hurry, try subscribing for four cards per day at $34.95 per month -- 29 cents per card. That's a lot better than buying specific cards for one or two credits each -- credits cost at least $1 each. The only disadvantage with subscriptions is you have no control over which cards you are going to receive. That's why it works best if you want them all and don't particularly care in what order they arrive. Subscriptions also spread the joy -- something new and (usually) wonderful arrives every day.

Then there are the Demos: random cards you don't already own offered to you for only one credit each if you buy them through the software. Whether you buy the demos or just window shop, there is a continuing parade of new cards offered all the time. Why buy your favorite card for two credits if there's a chance you can get it soon enough for one credit when it becomes one of your demos?

Another deal almost as good as subscriptions or demos would be the Booster Packs. Like the Demos, Booster Packs are customized for each customer, offering only girls YOU don't already own. The advantage here is that you can see exactly which 10 cards you are going to get for roughly $1 per card. The girls offered are changed from time to time, so if you don't like today's pack, try again in a few days.

If you like DeskBabes, those cards are also available by subscription: $14.95 per month, or just under 50 cents per card. Can't beat it.

If you got the maximum subscriptions to both VGHD (4 cards per day) and DeskBabes (1 card per day), your 5 new cards per day would elevate you from Platinum (100 cards owned) to VIP (300 cards) in a mere 40 delightful days.

After reading this thread, I am even more appreciative of Totem. Not only for their quality software and beautiful girls, but for their business ethic, customer support and trustworthiness.

Just Thought that I'd better say that I haven't use the Wyldanimal program.
So I shouldn't have said programs, plural, I tried it today, it looks really good. But unfortunately, again I couldn't get it to work.
All I get is a bunch of error messages. Then the program closes, I think it's probably me. Even if I do exactly as instructed, I get the selected model, but I can't change the model, can't play the clips, or things just don't work or the error messages come up and the program closes.
This could be because I can't find the player dedicated to VGHD the only download link I can find is,Full installer

Shame, because it looks good.

Unfortunately, the problem with girls outside of EU who'd like to work for Totem (most of the models on the clone site and most of the Met Art models, for example) is that they'd need a VISA and a work permit to work inside the EU. That's too expensive for both parties.

Die Karten der DeskBabes-Kollektion bestehen aus mehr Duo-Cards. Auch werden in der DeskBabes-Kollektion Dildos verwendet.

Solltest du Credits in VirtuaGirl gekauft haben, haben diese auch Gültigkeit in der DeskBabes-Kollektion.

My goal was not to create a fuss about it. I had only intended to warn of the existence of a program similar to VGHD and ask what you guys thought about it.

In my opinion, the program is really a clone of VGHD with much lower quality, of course. Although some girls are very beautiful.
And in fact there seems to be a virus in the program. And the program does not update frequently and there are only 97 shows ...

If we are talking here about Russian's program, this is not worth to try - it's my personal oppinion, but believe me - risk to be get ***** is too high and this program itself probably won't work properly anyway! (My own experience).
I've been on this site a couple of months ago and I decided to try this program, just to find out, what is it and because their Girls look real beauties - that's all.
Well, my default web browser refused to download this application (first time in my life), because of "extremely ***** content of the file"!
I made some changes, downloaded it and when this application was scanned by BitDefender, result was - *****! But as there is always possibility for false positive, I decided to continue: Kaspersky Lab, F Secure and Avast scanners found it clean.
OK, the next logical step should be installation and this one failed completely - Windows installer stated that can't install the program, which is not compatible with ANY version of Windows! So I quit! Fortunately!

The only thing I would suggest to Totem is to consider "taking over" these Russian models. THIS would be worth it (talking about more ethnic diversity here), but the program itself... NO WAY! - VGHD is much better! You won't miss anything, believe me!

Valentina - a true work of art! A wet dream come true! I've been admiring and lusting after Valentina (often under some other pseudonym)for quite some time. When she came back to VirtuaGirl to perform for us in High-Definition and I got to see some of her personality in her performance ... I began to fall in love with her! Just a bit of History.
The Site most of us are referring to Started out as a Unauthorized Stolen Copy of Totem.
Using technology similar to web Spiders that catalog the web, they found a way to make a duplicate copy of totems entire system.

prior to that, there were previous groups that hacked Totems software
I remember a group who went by the name of FTSM, I don't know if the two are related.. FTSM and this Copy site.


Anyway, this Russian site was brought to Totem's attention.
I had joined the site to try and collect information.

I was actually surprised by How Many Totem Forum Members were there, posting surprising comments about Totem.
Many encouraging this illegal site to take Totems place.

The models there, for the most part were not up the the standards we have here.
There were one or two very good ones, but they eventually jumped and became models here on Totem.

Last I had looked into the site, (over a year ago) production had stopped at 94 cards.

the software was ***** with, at that time, a non-detected Trojan that was sending back personal data from my computer.
( I use a sterile computer and a program called wireshark to monitor all internet traffic )
Of course, the information I was sending back was fake.

Just for the record, about 6 months ago, an update to my antivirus, finally notified me that that program was *****. So a virus signature finally showed up for it.

Their is no form of Flattery there.
It is plain and simple, it was Digital theft and should not be promoted.

The Software engine was an Exact copy of an Older version of Totem's product.
Dis-assembly of that software, even had the words TOTEM still intact.

So I can not STRESS enough these Words.
DO NOT FOR A MINUTE INSTALL OR USE THAT SOFTWARE

and to the Totem members who are still active participants there, or the members who will not listen to wise advice..

Honestly, I think you should allow discussion and linking to the site. The reason why is because Totem has the superior product (and the original). If people are foolish enough to spend their money on what is clearly a rip off then let them.

If vgirl had a presence on this other site those users might be more likely to actually find this version and become Totem's customers.

I realize this is a pragmatic approach that isn't going to be well received but from a logical standpoint Totem doesn't stand to lose any money from a clone because the users that use the clone are eventually going to migrate to the real product for the features and models only you can provide.

Its like Coke and Pepsi not showing one another's products, they came to realize if they want to be the best they must recognize the competition and give people the chance to choose.
